Burglar’s Guide to NYC’s Northern Suburbs
In the spirit of Christmas, The Journal News (a Gannett newspaper like USA Today that serves the area north of NYC) has reached out to burglars by providing a helpful map indicating the addresses of pistol permit holders in New York’s Westchester and Rockland Counties:
Click the dots on the original and you get actual addresses of where to go to steal guns, and where extra caution is advised when breaking and entering.
One of the many advantages of an armed populace is that criminals never know who is armed and who is not. Naturally “mainstream” journalists will strive to remove this advantage on behalf of outlaws, with whom they share a moral creed.

The regime in Germany had a similar map locator-system about 80 years ago.

If I were a burglar, I think I would avoid the homes where a gun is present. Same as if you had a sign in your window stating that your property is protected by Smith & Wesson. Many a burglar has been shot trying to break in. Keep it locked and loaded!

“A letter to your publisher – and individual eMails for all the staff to read.
Obviously you feel your First Amendment right allows you to identify your fellow citizens and neighbors by not honoring their Second Amendment right – by publicly posting their personal information for criminals to view.
I can’t say that is entirely bad. In fact, it may possibly be saving lives.
When I say saving lives, I mean the lives of the criminals.
The people who have gun licenses were able to get them because they have proven themselves to be upstanding citizens of good character from whom you and your friends have nothing to fear.
And, considering they were responsible citizens, they invariably bought the guns to protect their children and home from violent intruders. That means they care about their families and are firm in their resolve to protect them by any means available, even legal means.
That also means if a criminal – say a rapist or a burglar – were to try to enter that citizen’s home, the criminal could get hurt or even die.
As I suspect, you don’t want anyone to get hurt – that’s why your posting the addresses of gun owners could be important.

I’m on that list, just like I was on their list last time they pulled this crap. But last time they didn’t have a scalable map you cold switch to a recent color satellite picture. This is bad news.
I’m also a bit relieved but not at all surprised that at least every other home on my street has pistols … which means that just about every house has at least one gun, given that about 3-5 times as many folks own rifles and shotguns than own pistols.
PS – there is damn little crime in most parts of Rockland and Westchester counties.
