One of the daily kooks finally reveals why we run headlong into fiscal insanity
The economy is just plain boring
(and pardon the language, it’s a lib)
And I just don’t even give a fuck anymore.
That’s my 2 cents: I don’t give a fuck. Call me when we get to immigration or gun control or DOMA or something else that is not just boring run of the mill governing that the news media is trying to make sexy to keep up ad revenue. I mean… shit… who was so fucking stupid that they didn’t see this deal coming since Nov 6th at 10pm?
The first resolution: to scale new heights in low information has been more than accomplished here.
And Happy New Year !!!
(or try your best)
House Republicans just caved. There will be no significant spending cuts. The economy and the future are both toast. Buy up what little ammo remains at this late, dark hour.
I feel your pain , GHOST… it’s a good day to die
Does ANYONE even KNOW someone who makes $400,000 a year?
I can handle panic and disaster but this long slide
into corrupt third world mediocrity is killing me….
long live the bananna republic
Did anyone assume they wouldn’t cave? When don’t they cave?…….. And the only people i know who make $400K a year are drug dealers.
Don’t let ’em grind us down :

USDA: Love v Vilsak
The Dems stood tall during the Obamacare debate. No compromise, no caving in, no waffling…nothing. In fact, they sneered at America. “Pass it to see what’s in it…SUCKERS”.
They got whipped in 2010, but they didn’t care. They HUNG TOUGH and shoved their agenda up our collective (!) rear.
The Repubs are so afraid of being called names or losing, so terrified of being labeled and “extremist” if THEY stick to their guns, that they will give up and “compromise” every time…and STILL GET CALLED NAMES AND STILL LOSE.
It’s all over. Unless we totally re-set, fire them all, get a new group with guts and principles, IT IS OVER. I don’t see any glimmer of hope that there are men of character ready to step up, so it’s time to end the charade.
Ghost, as a young, woman farmer, I must admit that the whole purpose of that group does bad things to my blood pressure. The whole point of farming is to persevere through everything that is thrown at you be it from nature or human. You have to love what you do, regardless of what adversity you face. I can’t believe I live in a time where people think that stealing from future generations in the form of “settlements” from the government, “settlements” that are robbed from other producers, is okay. When you farm, you find a way, just like nature does.
On another note, how is it that when we, as a society find a particular grievance, that we cannot just stop the offending action and move on? Why is punishing those that have nothing to do with it an acceptable path?

Well, he was right about seeing this deal coming. He knew the Repubs would CAVE under Plan “B”oehner.

Paroll tax on a family making $50.000 will go up $1.000 a year.
The fiscal deal was decided months ago and republicrats are on the same team as the demopublicans. The sooner you figure that out the better off you will be.

Former Eisenhower Library Building to be converted into a mosk:
Pikarski said the mosque could be addressed by the Village Board as soon as Thursday’s meeting, but the issue is not listed as an item on the board’s agenda, posted on the village website.
Mayor Arlene Jezierny could not be reached for comment on the matter. The request has already been approved by the village’s Plan Commission.
The applicant, Mercy Islamic Community Center, meets at the Islamic Community Center of Illinois, Pikarski said. An office manager for ICCI said Mercy does not use the facility on a weekly basis, but contacts the Belmont Avenue-based center when looking for space for services and activities.

I had to laugh: $400,000 is middle class to the moonbat elite lawyers in congress but that’s only $100 per billable hour unless you’re a slacker….I guess I’ll just have to milk another cow and stop worrying about the price of fuel and seed and equipment and drought…and figure a way to market snow.

Hey, that’s not exactly news to us. There are many here among us who would jump at the chance to vote for a serious Conservative Patriotic Third Party.

Every day, we wake up to new horrors brought on by Obama. Since he came into the picture, things in this country and around the world have gotten increasingly worse. Everything he does is intended to wreak havoc. There is no good in his agenda.
I don’t feel like saying Happy New Year this year, because I don’t see things getting any better. I see them as getting more horrible in the future.
When I start thinking about all of this, I sometimes start to get upset, but then I quickly snap out of it and remember that all of this was foretold by the prophets of old. Then, I’m filled with joy and practically fall on my knees thanking God that I am here to see it. We are seeing so many prophecies being fulfilled before our very eyes. It is good news for believers that these are the end times and we are headed for the seven year tribulation period – because after all of this, Jesus will be back to rule and reign.
The prophets of old would have LOVED to see what we are seeing today!
“Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see, 24 for I say to you, that many prophets and kings wished to see the things which you see, and did not see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and did not hear them.”
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
“We are seeing so many prophecies being fulfilled before our very eyes. It is good news for believers that these are the end times and we are headed for the seven year tribulation period – because after all of this, Jesus will be back to rule and reign.”
People have been saying those exact same words since the NT was first put together. And people will still be saying it 2000 years from now.
Add this to the list: “Beg democrat welfare masters to take more freedom away by banning guns.”
Not sure if Air2Air still checks in here, but Michael Savage is looking for good political cartoonists (I believe Air2Air is a graphic artist?) Either way, if someone could pass it along to him

However, being morbidly obese is not a good answer either. A FEW extra pounds.
The next thing moonbats will blame on ‘global warming’, even though statistically there is none and hasn’t been for 16 years and counting.
Alaskans coping with another round of 50-below during the coldest winter in two decades, or to the mariners locked out of the Bering Sea this spring by record ice growth. In the first decade since 2000, the 49th state cooled 2.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
That’s a “large value for a decade,” the Alaska Climate Research Center at the University of Alaska Fairbanks said in “The First Decade of the New Century: A Cooling Trend for Most of Alaska.”
The cooling is widespread — holding true for 19 of the 20 National Weather Service stations sprinkled from one corner of Alaska to the other, the paper notes. It’s most significant in Western Alaska, where King Salmon on the Alaska Peninsula saw temperatures drop most sharply, a significant 4.5 degrees for the decade, the report says.
Check out the latest moonbat move in Concord.
A new ban on the sales of single-serving plastic water bottles has taken effect in Concord. Moonbats actually believe they will make a difference by suppressing the freedom of choice of Concord citizens.
Obama heads back to Hawaii at a cost of $7 million in taxpayer dollars.
And he left town without signing the fiscal cliff bill.
By the way, I believe back when the idiots in Congress created the fiscal cliff I did say they would make sure the cuts never happened.
In the gun-intolerant socialist republic of Chicago: In 2012, 532 people were murdered in the city of Chicago, according to statistics compiled by the Crime in Chicago website. The number of people murdered the year before was 441, meaning in the city of Chicago, murders have increased by 91 from 2011 to 2012.
The website also claims that, through December 25, 2012, there 2,670 people were shot in Chicago last year. That’s also an increase from the year before, when 2,217 people were shot in Chicago that year.
In all, it means that on average almost 1.5 people were murdered in Chicago each day last year, while on average 7.3 people were shot each day.
Official numbers from the city of Chicago appear to be a tad bit lower, however.
Interesting – wonder if there’s anything to it.

Too little, too late?
As a young farmer, you may appreciate this
Look around you.
Who really benefits from all these farm subsidies ?
And for something to ponder…..
How would things change for you if there were NO more subsidies for anyone ?
The whole point of farming is to persevere through everything that is thrown at you be it from nature or human.
How very astute, Katie.
For those non farming friends here on moonbattery, let me first state that I don’t know Katie’s situation.
She may be starting out on the family farm.
She may be assisted, or under some agreement by an employer
Or she may very well have struck out on her own.
Either way, she is likely to experience truckloads of debt.
She will absorb enormous amounts of risk. I argue much more than in any other industry, be it crop or livestock.
She must purchase expensive equipment.
Combines that cost more than your house
Or possibly that manure spreader, fetching more than the price of a new car.
Land prices or leases which at this time leave no margin for profit under even the BEST crop price and yields
Livestock contract barns with razor thin margins
Or maybe niche markets, where she must figure out how to sell enough volume to make a go at it.
But the government promises to “help”
through direct payments, price floors, subsidized insurance,
and just for Katie…..Beginning farmer loan guarantees….so that if she runs short of equity, the government will “have her back” (at least till the first of April, when the cash runs out)
But what is all this government “help” doing for Katie ?
From the link
Among farmers eligible for subsidies, just 10 percent of recipients collect 73 percent of the subsidies-an average of $91,000 per farm. (See Chart 3.) By contrast, the average subsidy granted to the bottom 80 percent of recipients is less than $3,000 annually.
That is not all. Farm subsidies over the past decade have also been distributed to:
Fortune 500 companies, such as John Hancock Life Insurance ($2,849,799); International Paper ($1,183,893); Westvaco ($534,210); and ChevronTexaco ($446,914).
Celebrity “hobby farmers” such as David Rockefeller ($553,782); Ted Turner ($206,948); and Scottie Pippen ($210,520).
Members of Congress, who vote on farm subsidies, such as Senator Charles Grassley (R- IA, $225,041); Senator Gordon Smith (R-OR, $45,400, plus a 25 percent ownership in three firms that received $2,114,622); and Representative John Salazar (D-CO, $161,084).
So, would you be angry with Katie if she too collected farm subsidies ?
The truth is, under these conditions she must, just to compete.
On one hand the system slaps her in the face by lavishly funding her competitors, driving her costs through the roof, then on the other forces her into becoming a dependent of government by way of the few beans it scatters on the floor in front of her.
But don’t be discouraged Katie.
It can still be done.
Hey there, Mr. What?? I suggest you read about Noah. They scoffed when he got his tool box out as well and started building a big boat in his front yard.
Every indicator is pointing to End Times…at least more so than any other time in recorded history. More things are in place now than at any other time. Not all, but most.
Woe to us if this ISN’T the end times…because in that case, I can see a period of evil that could last as long as the the dark ages, and we have only ourselves to blame for placing the tool of evil (Obama) in there to bring it about.
Let the chain migration begin!
“the latest move by the administration to use its executive powers to revise immigration procedures without Congress passing a law”
I wish someone would tell me where to find some of this “unregulated Capitalism”
Although the world is sadly marked by “hotbeds of tension and conflict caused by growing instances of inequality between rich and poor, by the prevalence of a selfish and individualistic mindset which also finds expression in an unregulated financial capitalism,” as well as by various forms of terrorism and crime, I am convinced that “the many different efforts at peacemaking which abound in our world testify to mankind’s innate vocation to peace.
I have had about enough of the terrorism and crime associated with Socialism.
That was Gov Crispie Creme blubbering and demanding passage of this sick piece of legislation posing as hurricane relief………..
•$2 million to repair damage to the roofs of museums in Washington, D.C., while many in Hurricane Sandy’s path still have no roof over their own heads.
•$150 million for fisheries as far away from the storm’s path as Alaska.
•$125 million for the Department of Agriculture’s Emergency Watershed Protection program, which helps restore watersheds damaged by wildfires and drought.
•$20 million for a nationwide Water Resources Priorities Study.
•$15 million for NASA facilities, though NASA itself has called its damage from the hurricane ‘minimal.’
•$50 million in subsidies for tree planting on private properties.
•$336 million for taxpayer-supported AMTRAK without any detailed plan for how the money will be spent.
•$5.3 billion for the Army Corps of Engineers – more than the Corps’ annual budget – with no statement of priorities about how to spend the money.
•$12.9 billion for future disaster mitigation activities and studies, without identifying a single way to pay for it.
Purcell: Why does the bill include $2 million to repair roof damage at Smithsonian buildings in Washington, D.C.?
Deep Mole: The Smithsonian is a national treasure that Sandy victims may one day visit. We must make sure they are not traumatized by leaky museum roofs!
