Hope From Canada

Maybe America isn’t the World’s Last Best Hope after all. In light of our having slit the other wrist by reelecting Obama, it could be Canada. MP Pierre Poilievre warns Canadians not to follow us into the abyss:

Poilievre sums up liberal economics succinctly:

“Through government spending, the indulgence of one is the burden of another. Through government borrowing, the excess of one generation becomes the yoke of the next. Through international bailout, one nation’s extravagance becomes another’s debt. Everyone takes, nobody makes, work doesn’t pay and indulgence doesn’t cost, money is free, and money is worthless. The system punishes work, rewards sloth, taxes the makers to pay off the takers, and quoting Thomas Jefferson, ‘steals from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned.’”

This Hopey Changey approach is as unlikely to succeed as it is morally depraved.

Heed the warning, Canadians — and although this ought to be obvious, avoid electing Marxist community activists who despise their own country.

    When Canada starts looking like a haven for conservatives, you know we’re really screwed.

    Interestingly, the only time in the 20th century other than the Viet Nam war when immigration from the US to Canada exceeded immigration from Canada to US was in the 1930′s, when Canada was pursuing more conservative economic policies than the US was.

    Canada has a non-white Genocidal immigration policy to rival anything south of the border.

    This country is PC+++.

    Nothing great happening up here.

    The LA Slimes uses the opportunity of a suspected arsonist being denied assylum in Canada as a backdrop to complain about it’s tightening immigration policies.

    As for Canada’s economic freedom

    I recall having lengthy discussions with Canadian “Socialists” who actually argued that policies of lower taxes and regs were important if they generated MORE revenue to fund more social programs
    This mindset (while still misguided) is the exact opposite of the class war, hope and change, eat the rich mentality here.

    How far gone are we if a French Canadian gets it and we don’t?

    Re: that warning thing… We already did that back about 4 decades ago, its taken this long to start the clean up.

    Pray for the Global Warming phase to start kicking in. Those Canadian Winters are still long and dark.

    BTW, as soon as Canada says I can bring my guns, I’m there.

    Sam Adams: I hear it can be done …but that there’s paperwork on the paperwork.
