Employment Outlook in Obama’s “Recovery”

Not everyone who is out of work is taking advantage of the federal government’s generous inducements to stay that way. Check out the turnout for a Target job fair:

Thousands of people applied for 200 new jobs at Target over the last three days in Northeast Albuquerque.

KOAT Action 7 News went to Target’s job fair at the Marriott Uptown every day and continued to find lines snaking around the building.

Candidates only have a one in 35 chance in getting a job…

Presumably these are mostly minimum wage jobs. Yet people are desperate for them.

The story is the same in neighboring Arizona. Tempe-based US Airways “received more than 16,500 applications for 450 flight attendant positions.” That rounds off to 37 applicants for each opening.

Not to worry. The media establishment that put and keeps Obama in power tells us that the economy has been recovering. Imagine how many job applicants there would be if it weren’t.

Maybe if Obama gouges employers some more with further punitive taxes on “the rich,” they will hire people they can no longer afford to employ. Crazy as that may sound to us little people, it appears to be the jobs strategy of the liberal masterminds who rule us.

I would love 37 applicants for 1 opening. I recently applied for an opening that in times past only required a new bachelors degree. There were over 400 applicants (over 50% had masters, the company listed stats of applicants on a website). A guy with a Phd (and 30 years experience) got the position. So basically they got a $100k + guy for $40k.
I have managed to land 2 part time jobs, 1 is an on call tax preparer (min wage + 2% commission) + teaching at a juco. Last year (2010) I made $43,500, this year (2011) about half that. Some recovery.

    TODAY’S QUESTION
In 2008 Mullah Obama convened the Simpson- Bowles commission to address budget deficits. He ignored every recommendation they made. Will he do the same with Biden’s gun control commission?

I can’t help but laugh when my coworkers open their paychecks and scratch their head with a puzzled look. These very same idiots voted for Obongo with absolutely 0 knowledge of what he stands for. HAHAHAHA! Enjoy the ride!

Island stupidity has the highest price my friend. This is what they voted. Now pay the price for being stupid and not spend a couple of hours and inform about what are you going to put the stamp on.

Yeah, them New Years paychecks are a bit of a surprice to the Low Information voter! Not to worry…the fun will keep on coming for the foreseeable future!

As to the media, we will never again get straight news from them, not unless and until a true purge happens. At the moment, not likely.

There could be a few bright spots on the horizon, and this gun-control thing might be one. I think Obama believes his own media. This gun-grab (if it happens) will back-fire in a big way.

Irony, pun, and truth, all intended!

The unemployment rate here stands at about 5.7 percent.
    Not too bad considering.
But Democrapts have the fix in store for this….
A minimum wage hike from the current $6.15 to a whopping $9.38.

They tout this as “good for working teenagers” and it will be good…….at pulling them from the job market and out into the streets to “community organize”.
Meanwhile MPR joyously warns businesses, “grab the KY and hold onto the railings”

Is any of this a surprise with the real unemployment number at 23%

Employees are likely going to get another disappointment in their upcoming paychecks. The IRS changed the federal income tax withholding tables to reflect the changes due to the American Taxpayer Relief Act. There is an increase in the amount of federal income tax to be withheld on wages of over $214.00. My guess is that since the changes were made so late, many companies have not updated their payroll systems to reflect this. When they do, wage earners are going to be taking home even less.

When the “New job numbers” come out, before they are declaired dissapointing, divide them by 50.
    THEN be dissapointed.
