Eagle Nest Sacrificed to Wind Power Idiocy

It isn’t only taxpayers who pay a price for senseless green energy boondoggles:

Hopefully the eagles will make their next nest far away, so they don’t end up getting chopped up in the blades of a wind turbine.

On a tip from TheWrightWing.

It’s funny how “destroying the environment” and “animal cruelty” are just fine when it’s something progressives want to do…even when what they’re doing is a totally “feel-good”, useless waste of time and money.

Oh, if only we were as enlightened as them!

  • marcus tullius cicero

I propose that them green energy idiots get the next
shave from one of those turbines. SCREW obama’s crapola.

  • Flu-Bird

Eco-malarkey green nonsense Its a federal offence to harm a eagles nest but apparently its okay to chop down the nest tree for eagles for a Bird maming windturbine and not a word from the eco-freaks STUPID GREENS

  • IslandLifer

That’s nothing. Just wait to see what people will do here in the future in order to ‘feed their family’. Best be prep’d

  • Hedgehog

    Why did they do that?

  • F.D.R. in Hell

I’m surprised the White House wouldn’t protect the Eagle’s Nest. After all, it was a 50th birthday present for one of their heroes in 1939 and where Eva Braun’s sister had her wedding in 1944 and where…

Wait, what? Really, it’s not THE Eagle’s Nest?

    Oh, never mind.

  • Flu-Bird

The birds should sue the DEPT of ENERGY and DEPT of the INTERIOR and the various eco-freak groups for allowing these damn windturbines to be built

Yep. And when you present them with FACTS proving that it’s not viable from an engineering, economic, or enviromental perspective, the Loopy Loony Lemming-Like Lying Leftie Liberal Losers say that it’s the ‘RethugliKKKans” and “Reich-Wingers” that are, “At War with Science” and want “Dirty air and dirty water”.

Stalin is credited with the phrase, “Useful Idiots”…….and it certainly applies to the pseudoenvironmental movement. As the saying goes, EnviroWeenies are like watermelons…green on the outside, red on the inside.

  • justme

Then they came for the eagles…..

  • Skyfall

I’m surprised at you Tony. Don’t you know “the science is settled”?

Oh for the day when we wipe the smug sneer off the faces of these eco-fascists!

  • Katya Kakhov

If he feeds his family a bird’s nest , where will the birds live ?

  • Eoin

I want more green energy… it only increases the hatred between two groups I despise– green energy, and the nature worshippers.

Financial collapse is all but an inevitability at this point. I’d rather at this point they just open the taps and let it go to hell sooner rather than later… I’m getting sick and tired of waiting.

  • SNuss

The reason given for removing the nest, was to keep eagles from being killed by the wind generator.

As Eoin noted above, this kind of hypocrisy can only escalate hatred between the Green energy faction, and the nature-lovers.

  • IslandLifer

Might come soon..0.01 GDP contraction. Could be Bush’s fault though..

  • Katya Kakhov

SNuss says:The reason given for removing the nest, was to keep eagles from being killed by the wind generator.

” An animal may never kill another animal ”
    addendum: “Without good reason”

Federal government moonbats tried to throw oil drilling execs in the hoosegow to crack rock into gravel a year ago over some dead birds

Yet as Dave said, windmills are choppin them up by the thousands.

You mean there is a wind turbine company that hasn’t went bankrupt already? This technology is proven unpractical. So if the company isn’t subsidized by government, then there is no reason to be there to begin with.

  • Bill T

Once the federal and state tax subsidies run out so do the companies leaving the tax payer holding the bag for removal of these eyesores.

I noticed recently that an apartment complex I pass daily had solar panels installed. The damn panels footprint is probably near double the front print of the complex itself. What an eyesore.

All those panels and it’s probably just lighting the lights in the hallways.

  • Sweep the leg

    Absolutely disgusting.

  • Flu-Bird

Green energy stupidity Think of how many poor birds get chopped up by those damn windturbines? Hey greens BAN WINDTURBINES not OIL DRILLING
