It was loathsome but predictable that the government–media axis would shamelessly exploit Newtown to advance an attack on our precious Second Amendment liberties. It was equally predictable that the deliberately ginned-up antigun hysteria would lead to a run on guns and ammo, especially in these times of alarming government overreach. It was still more predictable that freedom-loving Americans would be insulted for this by the moonbat vermin infesting the entertainment industry. From Canadian Dave Foley of The Kids in the Hall:
Even the ostensible countermoonbat Sylvester Stallone has taken this opportunity to show his anti-American authoritarian streak, with a remark so guffaw-inducingly stupid, you would think the punches Rocky took to the head were real:
“Who … needs an assault weapon? Like really, unless you’re carrying out an assault. … You can’t hunt with it. … Who’s going to attack your house, a (expletive) army?”
To come out in favor of American values in a place like Hollywood requires true character. There is still hope.
