Gun Control in the USSR
Gun control is people control, and admittedly it works quite effectively — as history confirms:
The modern rhetorical equivalent of the demonized kulaks (“rich” peasants) is “millionaires and billionaires” or “the 1%.” Evil does not die; it just updates its marketing campaign.

ALL IN FAVOR of GUN CONTROL, RAISE YOUR LEFT HAND
You’ve got reasonable facsimiles of Uncle Joe all throughout Washington, DC in the Administration and the White House. The Year of the Snakes.
Everyone who loves this country is now a Kulak. We will live or die by the path we choose going forward. Choose carefully.
Bullets work when ballots fail.

Dave,
Kulaks were the MIDDLE class, most of them farmers.
When Stalin and his murderers needed money and they have destroyed all the paper/coin wealth in the country they needed an excuse to confiscate the resources to built the “bright soviet future”.
Much like in Nazi Germany, the “achievements of the economy” of the Communists in Russia were stolen and owners were executed.
Comrade J,
Good point. I didn’t mean to imply that kulaks really were rich. When they are done looting the wealthy, collectivists inevitably go after the lower tiers. The post has been edited for clarification.
No worries, Dave. Sorry if I came across as too critical.
I just want to make sure people in my new motherland fully understand who their enemies are.
Thank you for all your hard work!
