All Around Pizza and Deli: The World’s Safest Pizza Shop

The one place you can buy pizza with the lowest chance of getting caught in the middle of a holdup or some psycho’s killing spree is All Around Pizza and Deli of Virginia Beach, where owner Jay Laze gives customers who bring a gun or a concealed carry permit a 15% discount.

Since the coupon launched last Friday (it’s available on the pizza shop’s web site), Laze says 80 percent of his customers have brought guns into the pizza shop. One customer even came in with an AK-47.

“It’s been awesome,” he told The Virginian Pilot, noting the widespread support the discount has spawned.

Anyone in the vicinity who believes in the Constitution is encouraged to give them some business, regardless of whether you qualify for the discount.

    .
This should be the norm in any non-gun-grabbing state. Because one wacko with a grudge isn’t going to go into any place of business where there’s the potential of being out-gunned.

Personally, I know all the stores and restaurants in Phoenix that allow concealed-carry, and I patronize them. I actively resist going into any place where I’d be unarmed.

Open carry is so much nicer, don’t you think? I have a concealed permit, but open carry doesn’t need one here. Makes no sense at all. Open carry lets everyone know you refuse to be a victim and that may even save another innocent person’s hide if I choose to do so and put my life on the line. Unfortunately, you WILL be harrassed, ridiculed, and even detained in some manner.

  • Flu-Bird

I hope some punk wearing a ski-mask tries to rob the place and ends up ona a morticians marble slab well ventalated

I guess we would call this “backdoor Constitutionalism”?

Donks and Phants should take note.

Personally I prefer concealed carry. About 3% of the population in these parts carry, and the bad guys don’t know who does and who doesn’t. Plus, it is legal in public schools in Utah for a concealed carry permit holder to carry at schools, including teachers, administrators, visitors, etc.

Yes, it doesn’t have the same effect on the sheep, but the wolves are far more respectful of public places.

This news item even made it into Democraticunderground.com. Of course, their heads exploded. Good.

You waded into the FEVER SWAMP???

Might be worth it just to watch their head explode, though.

Yeah, I opened an account at LGF after years away (before that tool Johnson drank liberal Kool Aid) and lasted two posts before I got banned.

I may have to make a road trip for one of their pizzas.

Think this guy picked the wrong place?

  • Skyfall

Sounds like I might have to pick up a pizza after stopping by Chic-Fil-A…

    RIGHT ON!

Conceal carry is much preferable to open carry especially if you’re in a bad guy rich environment. Most thugs see a guy like the one pictured in the entry as an opportunity overpower and steal his pistol. That pistol is probably worth at least 500 bucks. That’s more than your average thug’s net worth.

Moreover, is a firearm really needed in a pizzeria? I say that because a frozen pepperoni link thrown with sufficient force can cause some really nasty bruising!

    MAMA MIA! ;-)

  • Flu-Bird

Just last year there was this case in which two punks both brothers entered a store ski-masks and bandanas they tried to rob the place one even knock the owner down and was kicking him around the old coot gets handgun and sends the two punks to the pearly gates

  • KHarn

Concealed carry does have its advantages. A cowboy in the old west said he feared POCKET PISTOLS because if someone you’re having an argument with puts his a hand in his pocket, you didn’t know if he was going to come up with a handkerchief or a DERRINGER.

I’ve often wondered about robberys in resturants; I’ve worked in a few and know that the kitchen is LOADED with weapons (Knives, boiling water, cups, plates, pepper, ect). I guess what you really need is the WILLINGNESS to defend yourself and others.

  • DJ

The reason I carry a gun is simply because I can’t throw a rock, or a frozen pepperoni link, at 1250 fps.

    Flu Bird

The case you’re referring to was in Florida, and unfortunately the old coot’s aim was a little off and he merely managed to disable one of the punks, while the other punk was able to run for a bit but was quickly apprehended by the long arm of the law. Anyway both of those mopes will have a little time to repent the error of their ways.

    KHarn,

What do they call someone who brings a KNIFE to a GUNFIGHT? A dead moron.

  • Flu-Bird

The DERINGER was a small pistol called THE LADIES COMPANION becuase women could use them for self defense

Re: DJ sez “Moreover, is a firearm really needed in a pizzeria?”

ROCKFORD — A three-year veteran of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department was visiting a friend at a pizza delivery restaurant Saturday when he unwittingly became the centerpiece of an explosive drama that left one dead and three others injured.

About 10:40 p.m., the officer was in a small office area inside Marie’s Pizza, 1513 Charles St., talking with the son of the business owners, Vincent and Maria Tarara of Belvidere.

Three men entered the tiny business. One pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the off-duty officer and the employee, neither of whom were identified Sunday. A fourth suspect stood outside near the door.

A struggle ensued, and the officer was able to wrestle control of the suspect’s handgun. There was another struggle, over another handgun in the employee’s waistband. The fourth suspect then entered the business to assist, even as the officer got control of the employee’s handgun and used it to shoot all four suspects.

A very good reason to not have arguments with strangers. “An armed society is a polite society” is still true.

The beauty of a gun is that you don’t have to get within striking distance of a bad guy to stop him. That “boiling water” toss might be effective if he doesn’t see you coming, and you are within 5 feet.

In the time it takes to throw something and have it hit it’s intended target, 3 or 4 rounds could be easily squeezed off.
