Guns: Profane to Mention
In a free country, a gun isn’t just a tool for self-defense and hunting. It is the reification of liberty — the empowerment of the individual concretized as something you can actually hold in your hands. This is why liberals not only fear firearms, but regard them as profane. They are using their control of public schools to ensure future generations hold guns in the same regard:
An English teacher at Denton High School in the Dallas-Fort Worth area allegedly refused to grade two student reports because they discussed guns.
MyFoxDFW.com reports that the teacher, Dewey Christian, told his students to write a report on anything they wanted.
Marshall Williams, one of Christian’s students, told the station he chose to write about a Fort Worth gun show he had attended. He said Christian told him he would get a zero on the assignment because of the topic.
Another student, Alex Wright, said Christian rejected his report because it mentioned hunting.
Good thing this happened in Texas. A big enough stink was raised that the Denton Independent School District issued a statement declaring that
“The teacher has accepted the paper and apologized to the student for misperceptions. The teacher’s intent was for guns not to be trivialized in any school situation because of recent events.”
Shine a light on the rats and they will often retreat to their hidey holes — for now.

The answer to all of this is so simple. These people are cowards and can only win because we allow them to.
When a coward goes on a shooting spree, he does so until good guys show up with a gun. then he kills himself.
A coward wants to harass and fail a kid in school, he does so until good guys hold him up to the light. Then he slinks off under his desk and whines “I’m sorry”.
They have no bedrock, no foundation. We only need to say “boo”. Political correctness stops us. Too bad, ’cause we could dis-infect this country in short order.

Soledad O’Brien has gotten booted…excuse me, “resigned”…from CNN. She is “starting a production company” and will “provide documentaries” for CNN on a “non-exclusive” basis.
Translation: She sucks, she draws less ratings than re-runs of Tom and Jerry and they dumped her talentless ass overboard.
Once again, progressives have no foundation. Even though the media has swayed this country to Obama’s tune, no one really cares, no one really holds any convictions, no one really stands by (or will defend) this stuff. Their faithfulness to the cause runs as deep as their support of last year’s American Idol winner.

In reality-ville, the perception that he is a leftist who is using his power over students to indoctrinate them was very clearly perceived. Also, no one is Misperceiving that the teacher was in any way repremanded (no lost pay) or will not do exactly the same thing again whenever he wishs.

During a Facebook Town Hall on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden may have inadvertently advised his wife to break the law when he recalled telling her to shoot a shotgun on their property in response to a potential threat.
Biden claimed that he had told his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, to fire warning shots with the family shotgun if she felt threatened:
“[I]f you want to protect yourself, get a double barreled shotgun. I promise you, as I told my wife, we live in an area that’s wooded and somewhat secluded. I said, Jill, if there’s ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here, walk out, put [up] that double barreled shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house.”
But the law in his home state, Delaware, could make such a scenario illegal, U.S. News & World Report notes.
Defense attorney and former Delaware Deputy Attorney General John Garey told U.S. News that the state had strict regulations on when citizens were permitted to shoot guns on their property.
“In Delaware, you have to be in fear of your life to use deadly force,” Garey said. “You cannot use deadly force to protect your property.”
U.S. News also spoke with a number of officials in Delaware who supported the claim that Jill Biden could face legal repercussions, potentially even a felony, if she followed her husband’s suggestion.

I don’t know, I work and then various governments take about half of what I make against my will. It makes me feel a bit like a slave. But I do own guns too. So maybe slaves can own guns, as long as their political masters allow them to. That is until the slaves revolt and throw their masters out on their keesters.
