Unless the Republican Party is able to purge itself of RINOs, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi will likely resume her powerful Speaker position after next year’s elections. Yesterday, she confirmed that she is a communist:
“Tax cuts are spending. Tax expenditures, they are called. Subsidies for big oil, subsidies to send jobs overseas, breaks to send jobs overseas, breaks for corporate jets. They are called tax expenditures. Spending money on tax breaks. And that’s the spending that we must curtail as well.”
Filter out the mendacious class warfare demagoguery, and what she said is that all wealth generated by Americans is the property of the government. Every penny Obama, Pelosi, et al. refrain from seizing is “spent” if we are allowed to keep it. Therefore, we do not work for our own benefit, but as literal slaves of our federal overlords.
The objective for communists, I mean Democrats, is to eliminate the vestigial remnants of private property. Since the rise of Pelosi, they have made dramatic progress:
In fiscal 2006, the last full fiscal year before Pelosi became House Speaker, the federal government spent $2.65 trillion, according to the U.S. Treasury. In fiscal 2011, the last fiscal year that started when Pelosi was speaker, the federal government spent $3.59 trillion. Thus, from fiscal 2006 to fiscal 2011, annual federal spending increased by about $940 billion — or 35 percent.
What will stop them from continuing to expand the government until it comprises 100% of the economy? Don’t answer economic collapse. That’s what they are counting on to finish the transition.
