Arrested and Disarmed for Complaining About Excessive Taxes

The daughter of Holocaust survivors took a step back in history when she encountered the face of tyranny right here in the erstwhile Land of the Free:

Eileen Hart and her husband, Keith, are property owners in Newfield, New Jersey.

On Saturday, March 9 there was an informal meeting at the Gloucester Community Center, to discuss the findings on “revaluations” by Appraisal Systems, Inc.- a company which has been contracted by the state of New Jersey- to assess the fair market property values for each county or borough- for the tax assessor’s offices.

These “revaluations” have generated controversy by not taking into account the dramatically lower market value of homes thanks to the damage Big Government inflicted on the housing market by setting off a crash with the Community Reinvestment Act.

She stood her ground at the meeting:

“I tried to express my opinion and tell them that my Constitutional rights had been violated. I began quoting the Constitution, line by line.”

Exercising her First Amendment right to petition the government for redress of her grievances got her hauled off in a paddy wagon in front of her young daughter, under arrest for “terroristic threats” and “contempt.” She was compelled to turn over her two legally owned handguns.

Mrs. Hart denies the allegation that she was shouting terroristic threats. Unless she is lying — and witnesses should be able to determine this — we have already reached the point where we can be thrown in jail for complaining about excessive taxation.

Well, if she just would have kept her mouth shut and paid her taxes….

Now the rest of you, SHUT UP AND PAY YOUR TAXES or we’ll do the same to you!

See now why it is so dangerous to register your guns? The criminals are far smarter than this woman.

First they came for the gunowners but I wasn’t a gunowner and didn’t care.

  3. justme says:

NO, NO, NO First they came for the cigarette smokers….

There was a billboard on the interstate back in the late 90s that showed some Chinese on a glorious smokebreak and the caption: even communists are free to smoke.

The Emperor Nero used taxation of the rich to increase his power over the senate of Rome. Eventually he came into complete disfavor. `jack

Which is why I keep my registered firearms in a different room from my “unregistered” arms.

  7. Skyfall says:

The problem is there just aren’t enough of us.

If that woman was hauled off, then the next person should have stepped up, started citing the Constitution and so forth.

We’re letting this happen to us. We’re not standing up. Maybe it’s all over, maybe there are more of them, but that is no excuse to go quietly.

    THEY MEAN US HARM!

This is what its like living under a scocialists goverment a socialists state and a socialists president

  9. Henry says:

And when the charges of “terrorist threats” and “contempt” don’t hold up, she’ll be deemed mentally unstable in order to keep her disarmed.

You said that it’s better to SUCK UP TO THOSE IN POWER. Considering “Anarcho-Tyranny in NYC”, WHO do you support, the corrupt bully government, or the street thugs?

Nu Joisey is a maggot infested cesspool outside of the American Sector,(Sie Verlassen Den Amerikanischen Sektor). Hopefully she’ll pick up and move west of the Mississippi and deprive her betters of tax revenues. She’ll never see her guns again so she will need to buy better ones when she gets here.:)

  14. Fiberal says:

Arresting people for protesting taxes would sound familiar to anyone with a sense of history.

Its delusional to expect armed military, police or paramilitary groups to “stand down” from arresting or even shooting citizens.

This is also how it happens and will happen even more so now that the federal government is fully armed:

All you “lock and load” cliches should just get off it. You will lay down your gun just like any sane person would do in front of superior fire power wielded by guys itching to use it.

Thanks for the comment. That’s the first time I’ve heard that one ——–today.

And speaking of cliches, why the PRS advertisement?

You don’t really play one of those over-priced, plastic-coated 2X4′s do you?

Which one? The Doldrum or my favorite, the Ennui?

  16. justme says:

Fiberal, you are exactly right. There will come a time when there will be resistance, but it will resemble guerrilla terrorism than Alamo last stand resistance. It is what normally happens when a group encounters superior weaponry and manpower. In the end Patriots will be forced to resort to “other” methods.

“It is interesting to hear certain kinds of people insist that the citizen cannot fight the government. This would have been news to the men of Lexington and Concord, as well as the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan. The citizen most certainly can fight the government, and usually wins when he tries. Organized national armies are useful primarily for fighting against other organized national armies. When they try to fight against the people, they find themselves at a very serious disadvantage. If you will just look around at the state of the world today, you will see that the guerillero has the upper hand. Irregulars usually defeat regulars, providing they have the will. Such fighting is horrible to contemplate, but will continue to dominate brute strength.”

We have examples of disarming individuals going door to door. And its clear, the public will surrender.

    Coming to mind are:

    England (a joke)
    Russia (under Stalin)
    German Jews

Recently Australia, The U.S. in New Orleans after Katrina and the CA seizures as mentioned above.

All handed over their guns and then went back inside to their TV dinners.

The tactic has always been, disarm individual citizens individually. The use of overwhelming force can be somewhat convincing when all you need to do to avoid being torched is hand over the gun.

The day there are guerilla groups moving around like the French Resistance against the American military
will be the day it’s too late.

One word for you and your quote: Warsaw.

Get serious. The war has already begun. You are just anticipating your personal (and delusionary) formulation of it.

Appears it was nothing about the meeting and all about her showing up in a Jewish-style headcovering and a little girl dress conservatively in a dress. This is about disarming the Jews; they have been placed at the front of the confiscation programme.
