Free Cell Phones for the Dead
The dead have been loyal constituents of the Democrat Party at least since JFK’s rigged election, so it is hardly surprising that like the ObamaPhone Lady, they are being rewarded with free cell phones.
Dead people don’t need cell phones.
That’s the message Rep. Tim Griffin of Arkansas wants to send Congress, after he says a controversial government-backed program that helps provide phones to low-income Americans ended up sending mobiles to the dead relatives of his constituents. …
“This program demands reform,” Griffin told FoxNews.com on Monday. “There is a lot of waste in it and we need to be asking ourselves, ‘Where do we draw the line? Do we give everybody an iPad next? A computer? Is that the role the federal government should be playing?’”
Don’t give Obama et al. ideas.
Who finances this outrage? The suckers who pay their bills, instead of letting the government make other people pay them.
The program is funded by charges that appear on the monthly bills of every wireless and landline phone customer in the country. The money goes into a Universal Service Fund that pulls its revenues from fees that show up on most telephone bills as the “federal universal service charge.” The fees range but can go up to $3.22 a month.
The cost of the program has tripled to $2.2 billion in 2012 from $819 million in 2008.
The FCC admits to 41% of ObamaPhone subscribers getting the phones fraudulently. Given the veracity of federal bureaucrats, the real percentage is undoubtedly much higher.
Massive waste and graft are inevitable, once we have granted government the authority to force the disfavored to pay for the favored’s goods and services.

Do the weak, gullible, and completely mindless sheep of this nation deserve any better? Generally speaking, the American people have become so used to being lied to and abused by “their” govt. that they hardly even notice any more. Worse yet, and based on the last election, i doubt they even care.
We are quickly becoming a nation of non-White parasites, both domestic and imported, all of whom are cared for and fed by the few remaining fools who actually work for a living, such as it is. And it doesn’t take a PhD to see where we’re heading.

Lifeline has been around since 1997. Now a choice is given cell or landline, with the cell having 250 minutes per month vs. a landline The cost is paid out of the fees collected by all phone companies, not the government.
A free phone is a free phone. Nobody’s shorts were in a knot when it was Clinton and Bush’s baby with free landlines, but under O we go through the roof because they offer a limited use cell as a choice? Cell companies get just under 10 a month to offer the service. I do not know how much landline companies get, but most likely the same.
Being a trackphone style customer, I was very mad when I found out about the “free phones”, some nicer than mine. Then I checked out the claim and while I don’t like paying the re-up fee in addition to my bi-monthly fee, I realized the claims about the free Obama phones left a lot of details out.
