Now that liberals have fundamentally transformed California from the definitive land of opportunity into an overtaxed, overregulated, illegal alien–overrun hellhole, they are setting off for greener pastures, leaving behind a deliberately imported welfare-dependent underclass to ensure that their soiled nest will never be clean again. Most escaped Californians bring with them the same failed ideology that destroyed the erstwhile Golden State. Nevadans, Arizonans, and Texans beware (it appears to be too late for Colorado):
Note that New York is the only place from where people still migrate to California in significant numbers. Moonbats have so corroded the Empire State, putting it under the heel of unhinged tyrants like Governor Andrew Cuomo and NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, that even Governor Moonbeam’s Land of Fruits and Nuts is an improvement.
This process of areas of the country being economically, politically, and culturally destroyed by liberals who then move on to spread their blight to uncorrupted states could eventually, in combination with illegal immigration, turn the entire country blue.

Dave makes an excellent observation. The moral, ethical, societal, fiscal disintegration of Arizona is well underway from the infestation of Bankruptifornia leftists. Such mind-numbing idiocy as MEDICAL POT and RINOS like AMNESTY-JOHN mccain and his mini-me jeff THE FLAKE got approved by these reprobates, who are hell-bent on turning Arizona – and any other place they migrate to – into the same cesspool they left. In addition to a fortified, armed guarded fence along it’s southern border, Arizona needs an equally strong barricade along it’s western border, if it is to survive.
The map is great, but really needs to show the movement in the 80s. Oregon and Washington were Red back then, when the first wave of Liberals (including my brother) left for the Pacific Northwest they were roundly booed by the local populace. You hit the nail on the head, they left because the very ideals they espouse made life unbearable. So, what else to do but go screw up another Eden.
We get a lot of grief here in Florida from New England, but the worst of it comes from New York; they are the worst multi-voters. Even the “honest” ones think that they can vote here and in New York because they have property in both.

That’s a spurious statement, and that chart is 12 years out of date too. California used to be a nice place to live, and was a great place to grow up. Don’t forget, in 1980 California was “Reagan Country”, and he won in a landslide.
But alas, by 1994 it had become so anti-business that the company I work for “escaped” to Florida, and I think that a lot of others are doing the same. So don’t lump us all in with the liberals that overran Colorado.

Here in Minnesota there was no sudden undertow of liberalism.

My home state of New Mexico wasn’t that bad of a place to live, until the Californians and New Yorkers came here. They are worse than locusts and just as destructive.

So why don’t states pass an amendment right now, before the invasion, that states “spending cannot surpass income, welfare recipients will be drug tested semi annually, you must have be a legal resident to vote and receive benefits and drivers license, ………….
Put that in the state constitution before they infest and become voters.
My husband’s family has been in CA since the gold rush era. He left due to the rising cost of living among other reasons but we may have to go back due to his mother getting on in years. I for one am not looking forward to that day. I would say that many refugees from CA are conservative but you are right, too many liberals try to recreate what they left.

Several years ago, a friend said to me that the only thing left that will save this country is an armed uprising, revolution, insurrection, or whatever you choose to call it. I laughed at him. But, i’m not laughing any more. It’s becoming more obvious with each passing day that he was right. It’s also quite obvious that we can’t rely on the voters to fix things, since it’s they who put us where we are.
The question then becomes, is their enough strength, will, and resolve left in the American people for what quite clearly must be done? IMHO, no.
