One America News: Countermoonbat Cable

While moderate Fox News provides welcome variety from the otherwise homogeneously leftist swamp of television propaganda, it hardly satiates the market for news and opinion that hasn’t been predigested for consumption by glassy-eyed liberal fools. Fortunately another option is coming soon:

Herring Broadcasting Company, Inc, (HBC) announced [Thursday] it is preparing for the launch of a new 24/7 high-definition news channel called One America News Network. Scheduled to launch on July 4th, 2013, the new network will fill a void by providing a credible source of national and international news around the clock along with a number of signature political talk shows.

According to Robert Herring, CEO of HBC, “Americans are starved for a credible source of news delivering substance based on facts. One America News Network will prove to be a trustworthy destination for national and international news. In addition, the network’s political talk shows will tackle a number of subjects that are being ignored by media today.”

One America News Network will also air political talk shows that offer substantive contrarian viewpoints to a plethora of left-leaning shouting-style political news programs. The network’s studio talk programs will debate the role of government, protection of civil liberties, fiscal responsibility, along with highlighting political corruption and government waste.

A relationship with the conservative Washington Times will provide access to staff and content. Hopefully One America will avoid burdening itself with the liberal likes of Shep Smith and Geraldo Rivera. Read more at OneAmericaNews.com.

A new conservative Pope and a new credible news source–be still my heart.

  2. So Cal Jim says:

Almost too good to be true. For years I’ve wondered why conservatives didn’t venture out of talk radio. Good luck, One America News! I’ll be happy to be among your first viewers.

  3. MicahStone says:

Leftist-run comcast, time warner, cablevision, etc. either WILL NOT offer One America News Network at all or will place it in their MOST EXPENSE tier that few can afford. They will do everything they can to prevent Americans from viewing this offering.

  4. Big Bad Bruins says:

Yup, everytime Shep and Geraldo come on, I change the channel.

  5. Douglass Mortimer says:

And it will be infiltrated within the first 15 minutes.

  6. Jimbo says:

Have the homos started boycotting their sponsors, yet?

  7. Skyfall says:

Demand this station. Tell the cable people to stuff their service if they won’t provide it. With enough blow-back, they’ll cave. Socialists are only socialists until it hits THEIR pocketbooks.

As for the station, lets throw as much support behind it as possible. Maybe they could woo Rush to come on board. Mark Levin. Mark Steyn. How about Larry Elder? He’s said he’d love a national TV format.

Leave Fox to Shep, Rivera, The Leprechaun O’Reilly…maybe they could even get Dick “It’s In The Bag” Morris back!

  8. Flu-Bird says:

Nice van there great paint job and the eagle I just hope it dont get vandalized by Obama zombies

  9. Paul Moore says:

    Suggested slogan “No Red Herrings”

  10. Harry Callahan says:

Put conservative princess Dana Loesch on there to compete with the skirts over at fux news. No Gerardon or Sheppy girl and Juany Williams, it might have a chance until Soros or some other globalist commie buys it out.

  11. James McEnanly says:

Could they stream this online? This would be an end run around the self appointed gatekeepers like Comcast, Time-Warner, et cetera.

Not NEARLY as conservative and to-the-point as the one who just got forced out.

Allow me to directly refer you to to his brilliant speech on the islamic “profet” moHAMed.

He made those moslem dogs howl with rage.. and they couldn’t touch his little toe intellectually.

Which is why they got violent as usual.

  13. math wins says:

HAHAHAH this will be great – what America needs for sure is a tv station that will tackle hard-hitting ‘facts’ like Friends Of Hamas, Menendez loooves hookers, Mitt will win in a landslide, liberals want to kill jesus… oh wait… FauxNews already exists. This is competing for exactly that same slice of the populace (the low-interest, low-education, high-anger subset).

You heard it here first: This will take viewers from Fox, and get zero other demos. Sounds like a winner to me.

  14. math wins says:

And as always, I point out the obvious:

If this were a winner in the marketplace of ideas, it would get picked up. If, on the other hand, it offers zero new demos to sell to, it will not get picked up and it will fail hard. Because the market is always right.

  15. Harry Callahan says:

@Math loser if we need your opinion we’ll beat one into you.

  16. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

    Skyfall
Levin seems rather subdued everywhere but on radio.
    But why not ?
Many of these folks already have TV experience, and have more to say, but get squeezed for airtime to make room for Fox news quota of leftists
Steyn would do great with more air time.
    Elder
    Peter Schiff
Maybe even some Libertarian leaners, such as Jason Lewis
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPVuKlDj1BE
However, I plan to see how this materializes before calling out the cable guy

  17. Skyfall says:

The way I look at it Ghost, competition can only make them AND Fox better. Larry Elder would be my #1 pick for an opinion show guy. He’s libertarian, sensible, conservative, well-seasoned and black.

Hey Math? News Flash: Calling it “Faux News” is so yesterday. I bet you even say “batshit crazy” and “RAAAACIST” a lot too! Paid trolls like you are not welcome here, and your endless attempts at oh-so-incisive criticism are seen for what they are.

Buzz off, and tell Mr. Soros I said so!

  18. Universal Exports says:

Steyn has a good web page and a nice gig as guest host on El Rushbo’s show. Levin might look crazy on teevee going off like he does on the radio.

  19. Mr Evilwrench says:

Math wins, but you failed at it: That or, people want something they’re not getting, even from Fox. Let’s see, go more left, how’s that working for Air America? Wait, they’re gone (gawwwn, such a woody word, gawwwwwwwn). And Current TV? Wait, they’re Al Jazeera now (ooh, that’s tinny!) Yeah, let’s just see how those demos go.

  20. Skyfall says:

…and Math? It may surprise you that a conservative Christian like me isn’t quite as “low information, low education” as you might suspect.

Shall we have a discussion about quantum mechanics or particle physics? I can talk about geology a bit as well, specifically igneous petrology and vulcanology.

    Well…?

  21. Corrosion Of Conformity says:

Note to lefties who don’t like the gruff treatment and shunning. Tough shit. Your made up messiah made everything partisan and political so now live with it.

  22. math wins says:

You can’t be both a ‘conservative christian’, and schooled in vulcanology. Was the world sneezed into existence by the Great Green Arkleseizure last Tuesday, or not?

The one precludes the other. And of course I could point to palynology or ice-core paloeclimatology or any number of other disciplines that belie so many conservative talking points related to religious creationism, or climate-change denial… but why bother.

But regardless, and to the point at hand:

My contention is that while there are many and varied interests, viewpoints, and foci among people like me (liberal, well-educated, and interested in various topics)… the FauxNews viewers are all a single lump. the failure of things like Current TV were easily predictable – they didn’t ask me, but such is life – there is no easy way to prepackage something that all ‘liberals’ will lap up. Too many thinkers, with too many thoughts.

The Right, on the other hand… They go as a horde to a single source for all things because anything else makes them uncomfortable (presenting facts that run counter to the ‘facts’ presented in places like this one has that effect, it seems).

Thus, while a ‘super liberal’ network is not really a winner in the marketplace, since there is no set of easily defined dog whistles for people like us… that is not the case for the right.

One place to call Obama a muslim communist socialist fascist who wants to kill you all and eat your guns is sufficient. This presumptive ‘Fox-on-steroids’ will just poach those dwindling demos who enjoy it, and both will be the worse for it. Can’t sell advertising as effectively to two different places, each with half of a single (old white guys) demographic. There is no ‘new’ market you can possibly hope to reach with this. If you are not the sort who believes that crap, hearing it even louder from an even angrier buffoon is not going to find you new viewers or new revenue streams.

    Just math.

  23. BoJangles says:

As a NYC cablevision customer, or is that prisoner, MicahStone has is 100% right. Personally, i’m totally sick of the PC’ized phonies on Fox. These clowns, with their out-of-control egos, have one priority. Show as many commercials as possible. They don’t care how important the subject they’re discussing is, they’ll cut you off mid-word to show more of their commercial crap. And when was the last time you saw a female on Fox who (is not) a blond? What’s that about!

  24. Beef says:

Wow, a second news outlet that doesn’t cater to serving the interests of the ruling liberal party. That is sure to incur the wrath of the guardians of the Narrative. At least it will give them something new to hate. It must be hard to muster up outrage over Greta Van Sustern or Bret Baier after a while.

I hope this new station keeps the “Fair” but loses the “Balanced”. It is a waste of airtime to bring liberals on to read the same daily script that was already read a thousand times.

  25. KHarn says:

    “math wins says:March 15, 2013 at 12:56 pm”

Your FEAR of a free society is delishous!

  26. Big Bad Bruins says:

“Was the world sneezed into existence by the Great Green Arkleseizure last Tuesday, or not?”

    Last Tuesday? No.

“I could point to palynology or ice-core paloeclimatology”

Ice-core sampling is a flawed science. There’s things like leaching, contamination, and chemical changes that skews data.

And math wins fails to understand that manipulation of the marketplace exists. I could site example after example of this… “but why bother?”

I would consider his comments to be nothing more than vacuous, just like the threat of man-made climate change.

  27. math wins says:

Imprecision is not the same as ‘flawed’, guy.

There are variables to consider, sure. Does that mean the entire discipline is without merit? Of course not. Pretending otherwise is intellectually dishonest. Which, of course, any real scientist would know.

To the point at hand: manipulation of this marketplace is irrelevant. The point I made (and you clearly missed) is that Fox has exactly one demographic group: Old White Guys. A demo that is not, for the record, getting any bigger.

Nobody young watches it, nobody college-educated watches it, nobody socially liberal watches it, and nobody who needs real data watches it. Is is a single source for a single demographic subset.

Newcomers to that arena are welcome to subdivide the leftovers as far as they like, but again, the math underlying making a single slice of pie into multiple smaller slices without adding any pie should be pretty self-explanatory. Even for the likes of you.

  28. Dieter From Sprockets says:

ZZZzzz tired old lefty epic failure elitist crap that only flies in faculty lounge Das Kapital circle jerk echo chambers.

  29. echo chamber circle jerk says:

Power to the people! To each according to his needs. Workers of the world unite. Tax and spend. Centralized economies that produce nothing of use to anyone. Dog whistle. Racists everywhere. Flyover country hicks. Bitter clingers. Corporations bad. Romney=Satan. The state is god. High school pep rally. Bullshit braindead hive mind groupthink meme slogans. Progressive.

  30. Jimbo says:

  31. 2 + 2 = 5...I WIN! says:

Leave me alone. I’m just following Master Soros’ orders.

  32. Mark formerly in Spokane, now in Sandy Ut says:

There is also Blaze TV on Dish some any other cable or satellite that want to make money instead of just pushing MFM agenda.

  33. Son of Taz says:

“math wins” – wow, what a name.

A new news station that tells it like it is will do well if it courts the younger demographic. If it’s all over 50-somethings, they will have a tough time selling advertising. But, I laud them for doing this and I’ll be one of the first viewers too, even if it means putting up a dish again.

  34. browncoat says:

    TO Math Wins
The only problem with your statements is that Fox News has the highest ratings of any News network currently, and has for many years. Just check any credible tv ratings site.

  35. DJ says:

I’d like to see an unrestrained Dr. Michael Savage in a prime time slot. If management is against such boldness, then OAN, IMHO, will amount to just another milquetoast-conservative yawner.

  36. Big Bad Bruins says:

Well guy, ice-core samples indicate that CO2 naturally lags an increase in temperature. Regardless of this bit-o-info, using countless flawed, incomplete, massaged, imprecise and made up data to conjure up various nightmarish AGW theories to scare the masses and sway “democracy” while channeling away financial security for solutions to non-existant problems is not only intellectually dishonest, it’s criminal. And I’m not going to comment any further on your “old white guys only” post other than to say that you proved me right. Vacuous indeed.

  37. Skyfall says:

Hey Math, your statements to me re my being schooled in the physical sciences simply shows what you do not know about Christianity.

If I thought you actually were serious and would look at a point of view other than your own, I’d be happy to share the good news with you.

Somehow I don’t think you’d want to hear it, though. It would shatter your world-view. Too bad, because you’d find the ultimate answers to all those scientific questions…and no, believing in Almighty God in no way conflicts with science…only scientists who have come to some very wrong conclusions.

  38. Skyfall says:

…and I hear you Big Bad. Mr. Math is a typical sneering elitist who has ALL the answers, but down inside is in darkness and fear. Booze, drugs, sex and the oh-so-today trendiness mask it for a time. Won’t last long, though. Age, illness, accidents…and suddenly, you’re looking into the gaping maw of death, and all your swagger vanishes like a puff of smoke.

So, keep sneering, Math. I’ll pray for you anyhow.

  39. Flu-Bird says:

Histries worst war crinimals in the 20th century MAO SI TUNG he was worst then HITLER when it came to mass murder of humans and sparrows

  40. Big Bad Bruins says:

Skyfall, I don’t think math is capable of recognizing blessings, even if it knocked him to his knees and took his breath away. Sneering elitists think they have all the answers. God provides guidance, but also laughs with them, like a parent amused by their children. Math is a different kind of breed though. He’s above it all. He’s the smartest person in the room and he’ll be the first one to tell you. What’s that? Creation of the elements you ask?? Well, they were always there, magically, somehow. Perhaps they were created by a “Great Green Arkleseizure,” right math?

  41. Skyfall says:

    I hear you Big Bad.

I love the convoluted stuff they come up with to explain creation. Talk about having to have faith in a myth! LOL. “The universe is a bubble in an infinite sea of universes, and when an empty bubble (called a ‘brane for “membrane”) bumps into one that already has stuff in it, the stuff from one rushes into another, hence a “big bang”". Ahhh, but where did the first stuff, no matter how many “multi-verses” there are come from?

Reminds me of an old Greek story: the student asks his teacher “What holds up the world?”

The teacher says “We ride on the back of a giant tortoise.”

“But”, says the student, “what holds up the tortoise?”

“Ha ha, you can’t trick me with that question! It’s tortoises all the way down.”

Science hasn’t progressed much since the ancient Greeks, has it?

  42. Skyfall says:

(For Math: I took some liberties with the ‘brane/multi-verse explanation for purposes of brevity. Don’t start telling me that my astro-physics is wrong, OK? Gracias.)

  43. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

there is no easy way to prepackage something that all ‘liberals’ will lap up. Too many thinkers, with too many thoughts.
