Michelle Shocks
Considering the political climate in the entertainment industry, folk singer Michelle Shocked deserves a medal of valor for what she told the audience at a San Francisco concert Sunday night:
“When they stop Prop 8 and force priests at gunpoint to marry gays, it will be the downfall of civilization and Jesus will come back,” said Shocked. “I believe the Bible is the word of God.” After an intermission, she also said, “You are going to leave here and tell people ‘Michelle Shocked said God hates f——s.’”
Her management ended the show by cutting off Shocked’s microphone and stage lights. The 51-year-old continued to sing for remaining fans. The fall-out from the rant has meant cancellation of shows and criticism from fans on venues such as Twitter.
Proposition 8 was the device by which decent Californians chose to protect the concept of holy matrimony from blasphemous attack. Their will has been thwarted by the tyrannical degenerates controlling the courts, though there is currently a stay on state-sanctioned homosexual “marriages” pending a definitive ruling from the Supremes.
Note that regardless of how this story has been spun by the unscrupulous, she did not say she hates homosexuals; she said people would say she does because she opposes their agenda. Obviously she was right. Screeching that people hate them is a tool by which the aggressively degenerate bully cowards into compliance.
Michelle Shocked has been a favorite of the militant deviant community due to a widespread belief that she is either lesbian or bisexual. Given the level of tolerance for dissent that characterizes that sector of society, she won’t be selling them any more music. Her sacrifice should be duly noted.

Congratulations are premature. With the consequences of speaking out crashing down on her, Ms. Shocked has begun to backpedal furiously, even denouncing Christians in a cringe-inducing attempt to save her skin. Now she has alienated everyone.
How rare to see an artist actually stand up against the Left and declare her belief in opposition to the progressive machine.

On a more serious note, Michelle was dead on.
What she actually SAID was, “……force priests at gunpoint to marry gays, it will be the downfall of civilization…..” and, “You are going to leave here and tell people ‘Michelle Shocked said God hates f——s.’”
And that’s exactly how it is being “reported”.
Everyone in the Drive-By Media is focusing on the “Anti-Gay Slur” – which was totally appropriate in the context of her statement, and was not a “slur” at all.
And (as expected), everyone in the same DBM is totally overlooking the whole POINT of her statement, which is that when Fascists FORCE preists and ministers to do that which they do not accept or beleive, freedom as we know it (and Wstern Civilization) is DONE.
Language asde, it’s a statement worthy of Orwell or Reagan.

Funny how we repeatedly get told on the one hand how ‘same-sex marriage’ won’t affect you, but on the other hand shriek like hyenas and do everything to make your life hell if you dare mention you may not be on board absolutely lockstep 100% with their agenda.

Uh, oh well, I was going to write something praiseworthy about her, but she’s just revealed herself as another pathetic hypocrite looking to make a buck even if it means undermining her own credibility.
I’m sure that SHMUCK from the other thread will be along to tell us why it was a GOOD thing for the over-welming vote by the people of California on Prop 8 to be ruled immaterial in our “socialist democracy”.
Under communism, your vote doesn’t matter unless you vote the “right way”.

I guess I need to get out more, living in the sticks doesn’t help either. I’ve never heard of Michelle Shocked, so I listened to one of her videos – God is real or something like that. Kind of bluesy gospel music, but she’s no Mama Thornton for sure. Dunno what her sexual orientation is, but to back peddle is telling.
