Gun Free Zone App

Of all the media-hyped mass shootings since the middle of last century, only one did not occur in a gun-free zone. This could be because Jared Loughner was so completely insane that he didn’t consider the risk of law-abiding citizens being in a position to cut short his killing spree — or it could be because he didn’t have the Gun Free Zone app:

The purpose of the app, according to its website, is to allow users to “report and find Gun Free Zones throughout the United States.”

Maniacal moonbats, don’t let a responsible citizen exercising his Second Amendment rights put a damper on your 15 minutes of fame. Acquire the Gun Free Zone app for your free ObamaPhone today.

We need LIBERAL FREE ZONES instead or how about a CUOMO FREE ZONE,OBAMA FREE ZONE or a BLOOMBERG FREE ZONE

  2. Son of Taz says:

Unless there’s a metal detector at the doorway, there’s no such thing as a “gun-free zone” for me. My LCP goes with me everywhere.

  3. IslandLifer says:

Yes Flu Bird this might be a great idea. It will let me know where exactly I should be spending my $$. It would also let me know which businesses I could write and inform them they are losing business due to their moonbat stance.

I like the way we do it here. There are places, schools, courts, inter alia, where it’s by law and they don’t need signs. Everywhere else can post signs all they want, but they have no force of law. They can ask you to leave, and if you refuse it becomes trespass, but they don’t have to know, do they? We also have little cards and stickers to remind them they may be driving away customers.

  5. John Peden says:

I think the point of the app may be missed here. I came up with the app (and I read Moonbattery every day) and the app is not for Moonbats. It’s an informational tool, plain and simple. I personally avoid every gun free zone business – if my gun is not welcome, my dollars are not welcome either. In order to avoid gun free zones, we have to know where they are.

Future functionality will have an alert every time a person enters a gun free zone helping them stay safe. You can still enter that store if you want but me and mine won’t. We’ll also put other data over the gun free zones like crime, businesses shutting down, graffiti, property values, and I don’t know what else, to educate people on the real effects of a gun free zone on their lives.

And robbers, mass-murderers wanna-be’s and other crooks now have a handy tool.

  7. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

    Comrade J
Their livelihood depends on knowing these “gun free zones” as it is.
But the rest of us may want to know if our chances of walking into an ambush is elevated

  8. Mickey Shea says:

I prefer the Avoid Spookzone app.

  9. Henry says:

As several have pointed out, it’s just as easy to use the app to let people know where the 2A is supported and where they can vote with their consumer dollar. So far, moonbats are doing all the work; don’t let them have all the fun – I encourage everyone to get the app and list all the gun friendly zones they find.

John Peden, I can’t wait for you to layer the app with crime stats, prop values, graffiti, etc. That will be great!

  10. TED says:

Excellent, NOW we know where NOT to go. The most dangerious areas in the US.

  11. Alan says:

Don’t forget the lawyers. If / when one such location is the target of a shooting and the suspect / nutjob is shown to have used this app … does anybody smell a lawsuit against the software company?

  12. Xavier says:

I don’t know a lot about gun free zones, outside of schools and government offices. Can a retail store ignore the legality of a state issued CCW permit?

  13. Spider says:

Can the left override the 2nd Amendment? Are you sure? Think again.

  14. Flu-Bird says:

I see where MISSISSIPPI is joining with ALABAMA to ban the UNs AGENDA 21 and tell the UNs eco-nazis to TAKE A HIKE

  15. Dr. 9 says:

Yes Xavier, they can, by stating they don’t want armed people on “their property”. It’s their right, just as it’s your right to spend your money somewhere else.

The shootings are happening because Imam Hussein the messiah is distracted by Michelle Antoinette’s fine ass and puts down his magic scepter he keeps us all safe with.

I can only wonder which category my business will end up in ….

I got this app and it was worthless. It’s data base lists businesses like autobody repair shops, and most of the listings were non existent, or had been out of business for years. No business where I would go on a daily or even monthly basis were listed. No food stores, or restaurants. All their info apparently comes from the 1999 yellow pages. This thing is a joke.
