Dodgeball Banned

The coercive wussification of American youth has now claimed dodgeball as a casualty in Windham, New Hampshire:

The classic gym class game has been a rite of passage for years, but dodgeball may have met its match in the form of the Windham School board, which at a recent meeting voted 4-1 to end dodgeball and other so-called “human target” activities…

A “handful of parents” alleged that dodgeball constitutes “bullying” because “their kids were targeted during dodgeball.” Everyone is targeted during dodgeball.

A relative grown-up speaks up:

“I think they’re really fun because they’re just soft balls so it doesn’t hurt if it hits you,” said sixth-grade student Lindsey Stagg.

Unfortunately few people this sensible hold positions of authority in the education establishment.

Boys can take Home Ec instead.

Dodgeball? That’s what the girls played. We played Slaughterball. Now, I guess they all just play chess. Oops, sorry. I know how racist that game is to African-Americans. Well, give them two extra Queens for starters and see if that equals the game out.

The anti-bulling bullies (hypocrites) strike again.

    _____
I recall playing dodge ball with whatever was available
    Basketballs
    Baseballs
    ect
    Girls included
But we were tougher back then.

All those fun thing we rmemebr playing like COWBOY & INDIAN,COPS & ROBBERS,DODGEBALL now the target of the nambdy pambdies and pussietards who want all boys to grow up to be piano playets of ballet dancers Its no wonder our school system stinks with all these whipotard running our schools

  • bjd

It’s not over yet. Students have taken it upon themselves to bring it back:
    http://www.eagletribune.com/newhampshire/x1413935064/Windham-seventh-graders-work-to-restore-dodgeball

Maybe all hope isn’t lost, yet!

  • Skyfall

All hope is lost, bjd. Those students will be tagged as anti-social and dealt with accordingly.

There is only one thing to do now. Withdraw. Withdraw from the debate, withdraw from political action, withdraw from civic involvement, withdraw from the military and police force…

All people of conscience must now withdraw. Continue to speak truth, but don’t expect to be heard. Help those who ask, but don’t extend a hand. Do not get involved.

The Truth is going to be withdrawn from this world, and it starts with us. WE prop up this system. WE still give it the balance it needs to continue. WE fund our own destruction by participating.

They have ‘fundamentally transformed’ society, but depend on us to make what remains keep working for them. I, for one, refuse to help them. Let those who believe in this “new” society make it work. They want all that is abnormal to be mainstream? Fine. They want death and drugs and tyranny to rule? Fine. They want to take the last vestige of God’s people who holds back the Evil One and crush them? Fine

The Bible says in the last days, men will hunger and thirst for the truth, and will not find it. God Himself will be withdrawing his power and grace from the earth soon. Those who now are smirking and laughing and spitting on us and mocking God will have to fare for themselves very shortly.

Prepare for a gnashing of teeth and rending of garments.

Comrades dodgeball is an evil kapitalist pig construct where rich children who have stronger arm muscles since they eat better torment the downtrodden victim poor children who can’t throw very well or have girly arms due to poor nutrition. Everyone must be equal in the glorious rainbow hopetopia and dodgeball has to go.

  • Archie Bunker

Do the kids play smear the queer anymore? That was such a fun game as a youth. The kids don’t know all the great stuff they are missing out on living in the New Rhodesia hopey changey transformation.

  • Elizabeth

I’ll buy this. Dodgeball probably will be banned. We’re a society of victims now. Bullying this, bullying that. No one can stand up for themselves anymore.

The picture reminds me of a photo my leftist cousin put on Facebook. It’s a picture of her 4 yr old son in ballet class, at the front of the line with a bunch of little girls. Learning how to curtsy or whatever it’s called. She was so proud. It’s almost like the left WANTS their children to be gay. Who would hope for that?

  • http://blog.cutthemalarkey.com Vic Kelley

We played Warball. The balls weren’t soft so when they hit they did hurt. Which was what we wanted. I thought dodgeball had already been banned anyway for the stupid political correctness as mentioned in the article. I wonder when they’ll get around to promoting literacy and job skills in schools.

Yea the dreaded public schools here showed us Animal Farm in elementary and 1984 about tenth grade. In junior high there was dodgeball week in the basketball gym and no one could opt out. Once the people who were afraid of getting beaned realized how much fun it was they were asking for another week of dodgeball. There were hardly any fat bodies back then and no nancy boy queers crying about being a victim.

In grade school, we played a game the coaches called “Thunder Ball”; it was a kind of hybrid of dodge ball, football, smear the queer, and floor hockey. Two boxing gloves were the “balls”, both were in play at the same time, the game was played on the wrestling mats with floor hockey goals at each end, teams were allowed 2 goalies – basically it was a giant free-for-all with a team trying to advance one of the gloves and score a goal on the other team. You could throw or run the ball, you could tackle, check, wrestle, whatever it took to gain control of the ball. It was pretty bad ass and there was always spilled blood at some point. We loved it!

BTW, I took Home Ec in high school – I got laid a lot.

New Hampshire is another state being poisoned by Massachusetts moonbats that moved there to escape Mass taxes, but now want Mass style big government and schools.

    Pray for the Granite State.

…and one more little point re Elizabeth: The prog notion is “no one must be bullied” and eliminate any way for kids (esp. boys) to stand up for themselves and learn an appropriate level of competitiveness and aggression. Almost as if they wanted a society of scared, effeminate losers who were incapable of self-reliance and courage.

    Ya’ think?

  • The Blue Meanie

@Henry you got laid in high skruel? That is not fair to the kids who didn’t get laid you should have redistributed some babes to the less fortunate. Do they still have P.E. class in the marxist indoctrination centers? Or is just gummy bears class and getting in touch with your feminine side group hug focus circle jerk.

If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball.

  • Carrie

If kids are getting bullied during dodgeball, they’ll be bullied during any other group activity during gym class.

Instead of banning all of the children from playing a game they like, why not allow the students who don’t want to play the opportunity to do something else instead, like run around the track or lift weights or something?

  • Mr Evilwrench

I remember smear the queer from grade school. We’d play it at recess, and we always wondered why the teachers made us stop. PC was creeping in back in the mid 70′s.

  • Garpin

We called dodge-ball “bombardment”. Great game. Here’s a twist for you, our grade school female (lesbian, found out in high school, still don’t care) gym teacher said at the beginning of every game: “If you don’t want to play, sit down on the bleachers and watch everyone else have fun”

She was pretty cool, all things considered.

  • Flu-Bird

The coach in one of my high school gym classes was a truly sadistic sob. In wrestling, he would have us form a circle. He would then match up two guys who would wrestle until one submitted. I say sadistic because the coach always managed to match up the toughest, most athletic kids with the class wimps. It was brutal, but nobody complained. One day, the coach called out the toughest kid in the class and had the kid demonstrate a hold on him. The kid applied the hold, but when the coach called break the kid wouldn’t let him up. The ensuing battle was a sight to behold with all of us cheering for the tough kid. The coach finally broke out of it, but was the color of rare roast beef and dripping with sweat when it was over. Coach congratulated the kid on his ability and that was that. Things have changed.

  • Jaynie59

They made dodge balls different when I was a kid because they did hurt. This issue is similar to the whole gun control debate. It’s not the game, it’s the people. We called it “murder ball” when I was in school back in the 70′s. One day a male gym teacher threw the ball straight in the face of the fat kid. It was a sucker punch. We hadn’t even started yet and that sadistic creep hurled the ball right in the kids face. Most of us knew to just get hit early we’d be out and most of the kids who liked it would be left playing and so it was fun watching it. It’s the bullies who ruin it and most of the bullies were not other kids bu the gym teachers. PE should be voluntary. I hated school and the reason I hated it was because of gym class.

Our schools under the Pinky pansie crowdsoon teaching boys to forsake being TRUCK DRIVERS,FIREMEN,POLICE OFFICERS,SOLDERS and teach them to be BALLET DANCERS,PIANO PLAYERS,HERB GARDNERS and TREE HUGGERS eating GRANOLA and GARDEN BURGERS and sitting lotus style around trees going OOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM,OOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM,OOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM and praying to tree spirits and deer spirits

  • bobdog

I think it’s time we banned such vicious, competitive sports like checkers. Almost 50% of the kids are forced to be black and almost 50% end up losers.

    The self-esteem issues are appalling.

  • Freedm_Fighter

There were two petitions circulating. It seems enough signature’s were obtained that the superintendent has to actually deal with this debacle.
