Employers Forced to Pander to Flakes

Remember workers: forcing others to accommodate your moonbattery is a human right. From Britain:

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) warns employers that they risk ‘potentially costly legal action’ unless they allow staff to follow their ‘religion or belief rights’ in the workplace.

This could include giving believers time off to go on pilgrimages, such as druids and pagans going to Stonehenge, while environmentalists should be free to lecture other staff about their car use.

Vegetarian kitchen workers could refuse to do tasks that offend their beliefs, such [as] handling meat.

Critics say that by the same logic vegans could refuse to work in an office furnished with leather chairs.

Even atheists should have their beliefs respected, according to the new guidance.

Why not? Atheism is a religion too — or at least, it requires as much faith as a religion.

All this lunacy is fallout from a European Court of Human Rights ruling that allows Christians to wear crosses. Liberal relativism dictates that the religion around which Western Civilization developed for millennia is equivalent to the flakiest of transient fads.

As usual, small business owners will be forced to pick up the tab for the demented posturing of their moonbat rulers. At least lawyers will benefit from the inevitable torrent of absurd but lucrative lawsuits.

Do atheists ever doubt their “faith?” Just asking.

  • Momster

Hey, my belief is that an employer must pay me, even if I rarely actually show up for work…and then, when I do, I steal the office supplies and postage.

If they don’t hire me and and then keep me on I will sue them. The b@$tard$.

Note to Britain-why didn’t you just surrender during the Blitz and save the world and yourselves the embarassment. Your ancestors spit on what you have become.

What if a medical professional refused to participate in an abortion due to their religious beliefs? Somehow I don’t think their beliefs would be “respected”…..especially if they were openly wearing a cross!

It really doesn’t matter much. Britain is a quickly-dying nation. But fear not. When the Millions of radical Muslims they have welcomed into their country take full control, rather than the partial control they have now, all this ultra-PC nonsense will stop. And, real quick!

I wouldn’t really be so worried about millions of moslems attacking IF the British and WE in the other countries weren’t prevented from fighting back.

moslems are cowards who thrive on turning our own governments against us. moslems hide behind women and children. moslems take hostages and kill little children.

I’m not afraid of them at all. Disgusted would be the best word to describe how I feel about moslems AND the quislings who are causing this problem for all of US.

The traitorous SOB occupying the White House has been shoveling BILLIONS of dollars at our moslem enemies as well as lavishing vast sums at his home country Kenya.

But LOOK AT WHAT HE IS CUTTING here at home:

Budget cuts ground Blue Angels, Thunderbirds

I BET he just COULDN’T WAIT for this.. he was CHOMPING AT THE BIT to cut the Blue Angels but first he needed to get re-elected.

This has NOTHING to do with budget cuts!

This is an infinitesimally minor expense compared to all the solar Waste and an abuse and other fraud he has his filthy hands in!

That and the billions he is shoveling at the enemy!!

    IMPEACH THE BUM!!!!

Tough one, but I’ll go along with this. If Christians are allowed to wear (small, unobtrusive) crosses, and they should be, then Muslims can wear scarves and vegans can refuse to handle meat.

The solution is to inform people up front of the job responsibilities during the hiring process. Grocery stores will to make new hires sign forms saying they will be required to handle meat, birth control devices, whatever, and make the new employee list up front any items in the store they might find offensive.

One summer I interviewed for a city maintenance job and was asked if there was any work I’d object to doing. I gave the woman a blank look. She explained: mowing grass, hauling garbage. I shrugged, heck no, and got the job.

Another time I was at McDonalds and noticed a job application printed on the back of the tray placemat. Name, address, are you over 18, any days of the week you cannot work. Then there was a long list of germs and bacteria species that live in food and buildings, and an explaination that regular washing with soap and water prevent their growth. Apparently somebody somewhere tried to claim discrimination because McDonalds made them wash their hands before work.

It is a waste of paperwork, but still better to clear the air up front of what’s required at a certain job.
