Iraqis had best be careful if they insist on saying anything positive about Israel. This is what can happen to them:
A Star of David was laughingly carved into the back of Alaa Alsaegh after he published something local Muslims didn’t like.
Alsaegh's poem expressed the author’s affinity for Israel, the Jewish people and his mourning over the grim fate of the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust.
Now for the scary part: Alsaegh isn’t an Iraqi anymore; he immigrated. This happened to him in St Louis.
The carvers were apparently Somalis. Needless to say, this did not qualify as a hate crime, and no arrests have been made.
Welcome to the wonderful world of multiculturalism.
