Obama’s Maniacal Science Czar John Holdren Advised Romney on Environmental Policy

Barack Hussein Obama has clotted the executive branch with unaccountable “czars” — unsavory characters too extreme to be confirmed for cabinet positions even by a hyper-partisan Democrat-controlled Senate. Among the most alarming of these malevolent lunatics is Science Czar John Holdren, a participant in ClimateGate who has advocated de-developing America and putting sterilants in the public water supply. Holdren has also spoken in favor of forced abortions, confiscation of babies, targeted as well as mass involuntary sterilization, bureaucratic regulation of family size, and global authoritarian government. If there is a line between ultra-left ideologue and evil maniac, Holdren clearly crosses it. No one to the right of Pol Pot would want John Holdren advising our leaders.

This brings us onto still more common ground between Barack Obama and Willard “Mitt” Romney. From an official memo released by Willard’s office when he was Governor of Taxachusetts, announcing “Strict New Clean Air Regulations“:

Governor Mitt Romney today announced that Massachusetts will take another major step in meeting its commitment to protecting air quality when strict state limitations on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from power plants take effect on January 1, 2006. …

Massachusetts is the first and only state to set CO2 emissions limits on power plants. The limits, which target the six largest and oldest power plants in the state, are the toughest in the nation…

In addition to reaffirming existing stringent CO2 limits, the draft regulations announced today, which will be filed next week, contain protections against excessive price increases for businesses and consumers. They allow power generation companies to implement CO2 reductions at their own facilities or fund other reduction projects off-site through a greenhouse gas offset and credits program.

Sound familiar? Obama wanted to impose Cap & Trade nationwide, but it would so obviously cripple the economy that he couldn’t get it through a Democrat Senate that was radical enough to pass ObamaCare — the national version of RomneyCare.

Now to the even scarier part:

In the development of greenhouse gas policy, Romney Administration officials have elicited input from environmental and economic policy experts. These include John Holden [sic], professor of environmental policy at Harvard University…

Competence isn’t a common trait among bureauweenies. The reference is to John Holdren.

Of course, that was back in 2005. By now everyone knows that global warming is a hoax, and CO2 is harmless. Everyone except Mittens, that is. He continues to proclaim that economic activity makes it be too hot out.

Some say that we need to hold our noses and support this moonbat because Obama is even worse. That will hold true if Romney gets the nomination. For now it’s not too late to avoid a RINO reprise of 2008.

Romney is clearly not equal to the challenge this country faces. The best we could hope for is that Congress would be conservative enough to keep him check.

  • http://www.dunningmarketing.com Air2air

What do you guys think Romney’s chances areally re? Look at the flash-in-the-pan cycles with the other candidates. GoY is right that at least the Tea Party will ride him hard.

  • Hail The Amberlamps!

Romney is clearly facile with his Republicanism. He was governor of Hammer and Sickleland Massachusetts. That’s a giant, pulsating red quasar-powered batsignal warning you of his Marxist genetics.

I’d rather vote for The Hermanator and endure his folksiness and political cowpie-slathered shoes than get RINOed by a stinking Masshole commie.

I wish Texas would just secede from this clusterfreak and be done with it. I’m sick of even contemplating having to suffer yet another Marxist administration. Sick.

  • Bob Roberts

OK we get it. Don’t vote for Romney as the Republican nominee. Way ahead of you. But then who? Do you have a preference, Dave?

  • Bob Roberts

And, by the way, note all the sex links – security question not working!

  • Obama Nation

It looks like the GOP Primary might boil down to choosing the lessor of two RINOS.

It’s no wonder so many of us have lost faith in our government.

Unfortunately it probably is too late and Romney will be the nominee. Hopefully enough conservatives will win the Congressional elections that Romney will have no choice but to go along. Though Im not at all crazy about Romney the thought of another 4 years of the Obominator is downright terrifying.

    ————-
Unfortunately that is true about many if not most of the candidates that have come forward.

Still, if he winds up the nominee it’s going to be either him or Obama, for sure, unless the Democrats have a primary and DO NOT choose Obama. No chance of that.

Odd, isn’t it, that there is no field of Democratic challengers to Obama? That’s not the sort of thing you see in a Democracy. That’s more what happens in dictatorships and other forms of authoritarian governments.

And when I asked “Then who” I forgot to say “and why”?

Today we’re having a wonderful “Indian Summer” or, as it is known locally, light Santa Ana condition. I’m out here on the deck enjoying the day, watching the wild bikinis stroll by now and again. I wonder if poor lao finally escaped his parents’ basement and got out for a change?

  • Bob Roberts

Oh, I’m no fan of Romney, as you might have guessed, but let’s be realistic. Could have have survived in MA without doing some moonbatty things? I don’t think so. How much was his true belief and how much was political expediency? Do we really know?

Not that I trust him. But if it comes down to him or Obama we’re going to have to batten down the hatches and vote for him – I think we all know that.

  • Bob Roberts

Sorry, but the claims Cain lied (with regards to the Fed audit issue) are false – they themselves are the lies.

He stated the Fed is already audited. He stated that he felt re-auditing would be silly, perhaps, but not in those words. He said (at least at one point) that if you really want to audit the Fed, GO AHEAD.

That is not what is being characterized. The complaints against him are the lies.

He’s not the perfect candidate. But can you name who is? Certainly not Romney, we’ve established that repeatedly. Not Perry. Not Bachman… and not Paul, despite the many things I like about him, too. Who else really has a shot? Gingritch? He’s far from perfect, too.

So again, who thinks they can name the best of the worst who are running and what basis do you have for your choice?

I’m still open to any reasonable arguments here.

  • Bob Roberts

Back to the topic of this thread…

We have some pretty moonbatty energy and air policies here – arguably the dumbest in the nation and has it helped?

We still win “worst air” in several cities routinely.

It’s an issue of geography, of topography, actually. We have these basins surrounded by hills which trap bad air, allow it to concentrate, and these are where either natural or human presence creates a lot of bad air.

Oh yeah, maybe I forgot to mention – nature makes more bad air than humans. Moonbats put that in your pipes and smoke it – but remember as you do you’re making bad air!

I live in MA and generally tune out MA GOP. They did just come up with a great ad against Elizabeth Warren:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsiAtXyv_WA

It’s true in MA the power is held by the Speaker of the House, but the number of Republicans in the legislature was cut in half during the Romney years. He never made our cause his cause. Taxes did decrease thoguh, so I’ll give him some credit for that.

“Some say that we need to hold our noses and support this moonbat because Obama is even worse. That will hold true if Romney gets the nomination. For now it’s not too late to avoid a RINO reprise of 2008.”

I AGREE 100%. Right behind ANYONE BUT OBAMA I say NO RINO in 2012! I do NOT want Romney to be the Republican nominee. I do NOT want to be essentially forced to vote for him, which is what it will be if he is.

Correction to Elizabeth Warren’s remarks at the link you gave (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsiAtXyv_WA).

A growing number of people DO NOT pay for those things and these are the people who are voting for THE WRONG candidates, including Elizabeth Warren. If they elect her they will get what they deserve, eventually. The only problem is WE WILL GET IT TOO THOUGH WE DO NOT DESERVE IT!

  • Marci

I’m beyond disappointed that Christie came out and endorsed Romney. In all honesty, our best hope is probably Cain, but the left is too busy dismantling his authentication as a black man. The establishment is pushing Romney which proves they are one and the same with the left. DemoRino Party. If Romney gets in, he will do more of the same, and the outcry against him will be NO different (other than the race accusations) that than against Obama, because he will do exactly what the progressives want.

    Bob Roberts,

Moonbattery.com has “officially” endorsed Michele Bachmann. She is a fine candidate, and I do hope that she bounces back, soon! As for your question, who’s the best candidate? According to most polls, it’s an unknown, unnamed Republican, who isn’t running. Great.

I’m voting for (blank) in 2012!

Okay, in all seriousness, Romney is not the best conservative candidate, but he is currently our best chance of getting Obama out of office.

The Republican party is all fu@#ed up right now. If we have to take baby steps to get our country back in the right direcetion, so be it.

What I don’t want to read are people saying that if it comes down to Romney, they won’t vote for him, or they will just stay home. That’s right in line with dereliction of duty, IMHO.

  • DaddyOD

    Dave,

By nit picking at what could end up being the conservatives best hope of replacing Obama you seem to be trying to win a short term ego-driven battle with 5 year old “news” which could very well end up HELPING Obama win the war by winning in 2012.

Instead of galvanizing the conservative cause you are only giving the opponents ammunition with petty claims such as “I have a hunch Romney believes in global warming and will spend billions on fighting it” when Romneys own proclamations say otherwise.

Read exactly what Romney’s position is on the subject before you start ridiculing him. The moonbats do that not countermoonbats.

You are only diminishing your credibility by not reporting on his actual position (yes we all know he has a history of changing) and creating unnecessary animosity towards him by those who we may NEED to vote for him and vote Obama OUT!

As you can see from his current position (whether it meets every measure you require, and whether it is perfectly unequivocal or not) Romney does not believe that humans are the primary cause of any so called global warming and he would not invest money into cap and trade or epa regulations to curb something he does not know exists. READ and POST the other sides facts with your posts if you want to maintain any semblance of impartiality, fairness and credibility.

    Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0811/62022.html#ixzz1abRehuWP

Asked Wednesday at a Lebanon, N.H., town hall meeting whether he [Romney] believed in global warming and if humans contribute to rising temperatures, Romney said he doesn’t know.

“Do I think the world’s getting hotter? Yeah, I don’t know that but I think that it is,” Romney said, as reported by Reuters. “I don’t know if it’s mostly caused by humans.”

“What I’m not willing to do is spend trillions of dollars on something I don’t know the answer to,” he added. [End of quotes]

Romney obviously has some faults but who doesn’t?

Who do YOU think has both the private AND public executive experience and broad enough support from ALL factions of the conservative and INDEPENDENTS (who will determine the election) to win?

Christies endorsement of Romney pretty much seals the deal for a majority of conservatives including myself because we know as Christie said so rightly yesterday that Romney has the BEST chance of beating Obama which is the end goal .

Please try to remember that your site has the power to either educate, consolidate and galvanize the conservative cause or spread disinformation, segregate and create dissent and cynicism within our movement.

It is this type of “eating your own” cynicism that has slowly destroyed the democratic party.

Be careful what you promulgate since it can easily be used as the catalyst or means by the progressive moonbats to destroy our cause.

  • Jodie

    RICH,

I agree with you that Michele Bachmann is a fine candidate. I agree with her views and policies and the only thing that I really hear people on the right saying against her is that she would be weak or she is inexperienced. I disagree. I don’t think a woman needs to be an evil bitch like Hillary to be considered strong. I think that there is a great deal of strength in patience.

I have believed from the beginning that Sarah Palin was the perfect candidate. I wish that she was running. She is tactful, extremely intelligent, and she is on the right side of every issue. That cannot be said about any of the current republican candidates. The same things are said about her that are said about Michele Bachmann, as far as her not being experienced or not being able to stand up against other politicians, but I disagree with that too. She has an amazing record as a governor who stood up against the politics as usual and did wonderful things for Alaska.

  • RICH

    Jodie,

Palin would have been my choice as well. Bachmann had a very good performance last night. That’s encouraging. She still has a lot of work to do, but is running out of time.

    MICHELLE BACHMAN.

  • Just sayin’

There may be something a little more sinister behind Romney and that is the fact that the Mormon church is suddenly putting a lot of money into campaign contributions. They are not supposed to support political candidates, since they are tax a exempt organization.

The Mormon church is supporting a real crook named Jerry Lewis in Arizona, in a round about, deceitful way.

You may notice a lot of recent billboards and TV advertising to promote Mormonism. I guarantee you this and more are being done to promote candidates like Romney. It’s illegal, unethical and immoral. AND God can see everything, so they aren’t really getting away with anything.

  • AC

Bob, the Fed has not been properly audited. What came out was a limited amount of disclosures in Excel format. As for anything remotely resembling a Sarbox compliant audit…fuhgeddaboudit.

The entire institution is not remotely transparent. We have no idea what’s going on, the extent of the risk and exposure, or its decision making process.

It should be subject to FOIA. It isn’t.

My entire career in the business world I was required to prove to regulators that there was no funny business going on, not even in the least. The government should be held to the same standard of accountability to its bosses, the American people.

“Trust us” is piss poor governance, and demands of trust are all we’re getting from the Fed.

These people are supposed to be acting as fiduciaries.

If Cain is right, and the Fed is fine, then we’ve spent a very small sum on auditors to reassure the public, international creditors, and international investors.

If Cain is wrong, the result could be Zimbabwe.

Regardless, Cain did not see the meltdown coming, then he supported TARP.

    http://www.tomwoods.com/blog/one-week-before-collapse-cain-says-economy-great/

His credibility on economics is in the toilet. All he can seem to offer is a gimmick tax plan which seems tailor-made (by unnamed “experts”) for campaign sound bytes.

His plan still doesn’t alleviate the burden of the middle class or restore financial privacy to working families.

9-9-9 – is that nine inches with nine toppings for $9?

Replacing Obama is not the goal.

Saving the nation is the goal.

    That requires conservatism.

If Obama is replaced with another leftist then we’re screwed and if he’s replaced by a milquetoast RINO then we’re also screwed.

Instead of galvanizing the conservative cause you are only giving the opponents ammunition with petty claims such as “I have a hunch Romney believes in global warming and will spend billions on fighting it” when Romneys own proclamations say otherwise.

Mitt Romney was never part of the conservative cause.

It is this type of “eating your own” cynicism that has slowly destroyed the democratic party.

It’s about holding the party accountable in the candidates it nominates.

If nobody speaks up then the good old boys continue on with business as usual, which involves nominating dependable company men who have accumulated favors and shaken the right hands, not independent-thinking, hard-charging men of principle who get to work fixing the problems.

Be careful what you promulgate since it can easily be used as the catalyst or means by the progressive moonbats to destroy our cause.

If it destroys Romney’s cause then it has done it’s job, because Romney’s cause is big government leftism.

If Romney wins, the soonest we can hope to elect a conservative is 2020.

Can we afford to wait until 2020 for real leadership and effective solutions?

See Dave, that’s exactly my point. By being overly critical of Romney, you are helping Obama. WTF? Kindly knock it off. I’m pissed at Rush too. He screwed us in 2008 and screwing us again in 2012.

Enough. Let the process work. Stop slamming our teammates for God’s sake. Newt is gaining ground as is Cain. Let them play this out on the field. Emphasize and help build their strength so we can overcome their weakness. You are doing the party a disservice with your attacks. Instead of making our candidates out to be moonbats, show us how they are counter-moonbats. Once in office, we can hold their feet to the fire. No worries.

Do you really want 4 more years of Obama? I don’t. And please don’t go down that BS paved road that Obama is no different than Romney.
