Even the liberal elitists at The Atlantic have been fed to the teeth with being played for idiots. They quote Obama’s speech from last Friday regarding the NSA’s massive domestic spying operation — emphasis theirs:
“We’re forming a high level group of outside experts to review our entire intelligence and communications technologies. We need new thinking for a new era. We now have to unravel terrorist plots by finding a needle in a haystack of global telecommunications, and meanwhile technology has given governments, including our own, unprecedented capability to monitor communications.
“So I’m tasking this independent group to step back and review our capabilities, particularly our surveillance technologies, and they’ll consider how we can maintain the trust of the people, how we can make sure that there absolutely is no abuse [quack quack quack…]”
Which outside expert did Obama put in charge of this independent group? Infamously clueless Obamunist lapdog James Clapper, the official Director of National Intelligence. Clapper has already been caught lying to Congress about NSA spying on behalf of the Obama Regime (video here).
This “Review Group” won’t even report its findings directly to the public or Congressional oversight committees. It’ll report to Obama … but indirectly, through Clapper.
We are getting to the point where contemptuous arrogance is no longer trendy and cool.
