You would need a stomach of cast iron for these people not to make you sick. CNN’s Tanner Colby holds forth on the failure of whites to have a sufficient number of black friends:
What you really want to know is not “How many black friends do I have?” but rather, “Have I become the type of individual that a black person might choose to be friends with?”
There follow several paragraphs about how awful white people are for marginalizing blacks, as if it were not an obvious high priority of our society to pretend that blacks make up several times more than their actual 13% of the population — as can easily be confirmed by switching on your TV set.
Just when I was getting up for some Dramamine, he finally wrapped up:
Interracial friendships, social bonds across the color line, are a key factor in putting the sins of America’s past behind us. But it’s not something that’s accomplished by white people knowing lots of black people. It helps if white people know how to be better white people.
My rebuttal for Colby: just crawl off and die. There will be one less white person for your fellow libs to be ashamed of.
On a tip from Wiggins.
