Here’s what Wikipedia has to say about the Big Lie:
The Big Lie (German: Große Lüge) is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, about the use of a lie so “colossal” that no one would believe that someone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.”
Karl Marx had one thing right: history repeats itself, first as tragedy, then as farce. Obama demonstrates is how the Big Lie is applied nowadays with this whopper:
“[F]or a lot of people, [ObamaCare] will be cheaper than your cell phone bill.”
This proclamation followed immediately after he announced once again that healthcare is “not a privilege,” strongly implying that you have a right to force other people to pay for the goods and services you consume. This is known as Marxism.
Yes, ObamaCare will be cheap for those who are coercively subsidized by others. But as you can see by examining any other nation that degenerated into communism, in the end, if some other guy pays, everybody pays, if only by living in a country with a collapsing standard of living.
In any case, how can anything be cheaper than a cell phone bill when ObamaPhones are free?
ObamaCare is estimated to cost $2.6 trillion in the first decade. If other government entitlements like Medicare and Medicaid are any indication, the price curve will shoot straight upward from there. You could provide ObamaPhones for every human on the planet for far less.
