In the unlikely event that you were running short on reasons why all mail delivery should be privatized…
On tips from Rich and Matt L.

As a Postal Employee I can assure you she is most defiantly in the street begging for her job back, as for privatization, that ain’t gonna work. The PO uses NO tax dollars and all it’s profit is being looted by our government and made to look like a loss. The biggest fraud is the prefunding of the our pension out for 75 years! no on private or gov’ment is required to do so. Also every business decision has to be approved by Congress and we can see what a bang up job they are doing with the budget.
She needs to have a chat with The Mooche… Let’s Move!
If you live way out of town under privitation you won’t get any bills or any other mail as private companys won’t lose money to deliver mail to you!
I thought she was going to throw the boxes on the porch without even getting out of the truck.
Do you still think you live in a free country? Maybe you should think again.
As a retired Postal Employee after working for 47 years, let me say that has happened. It won’t happen again with her.. She is gone.. That said, I have seen many, many videos of UPS drivers doing worse than that.. I got a package though UPS and I crossed my fingers because of the tire tracks on it.. The contents were not broken, just required cleaning. Privatized will only cost more and more because of greedy owners. Service to places like Scenic South Dakota would not exist.. Years ago, UPS and the USPS were going to make a deal, USPS would deliver where it would cost to much to send the Brown Truck too.. Forty miles out and back for a pair of shoes is not cost effective..
If you really want to save money in the Postal Service, get rid of every manager in every Post Office, they employees know how to do the job.. The “supervisors” know how to play Solitaire all day while the carriers are on the street. The last postmaster I had spent a lot of time either absent or wheeling dealing on EBAY.. Over the years I had about eight postmasters, all worked at the same desk as the previous ones.. The last one had a full set of OAK Office furniture brought in, I can only guess that it was several thousand dollars worth.. That was total bullshit, then the bastard stole my personal clipboard, it was bright red plastic.. I got it back but was told that personal property could not be on government property.. I said shove it, as long as the PM has twenty stuffed animals on the office wall that he killed, I was not going to NOT use the board..
Remember, these are just a couple of highlights, I have 17,155 days that I would sit down and tell you about..
Yep, that bitch is gone, but they (managers) have cut the pay of TEMP’s by renamed their job to another title, one in Franklin TN told me she got a cut of seven dollars and hour, HOW WOULD YOU LIKE THAT SHIT?
OH, they good old days, my July 1973 paycheck showed 80 hours overtime with 80 standard hours, because they refused to hire.. Just work the regulars to death…
That’s the first time I have ever seen a Blue Whale giving birth. Thanks Nat.Geo!!!
Boy, after driving up the walkway and the grass she still had to get out out of her truck. This must stop…
That’s just one big jelly dough roll right there. My post lady kicks ass. She goes out of her way to make sure my packages are delivered safely and out of sight without killing my grass. Where is this pigs uniform? Oink! I honestly have never had any issues with USPS except for them ripping open a box of used hulls and claiming it was damaged and repackaged, but I expected it.
I live in a rural area where USPS service doesn’t exist so I use a PO box in town. When moving here earlier this year, I shipped several hundred boxes of varying sizes and weights by USPS, UPS and FedEx. Every single USPS box was heavily damaged or destroyed even though I used boxes that USPS provided. I had insured the boxes and my claims were paid, but it was a huge waste of time and effort. None of the UPS or FedEx boxes were damaged.
My local Post Office has a bad habit of returning mail for no reason so I now pay for a mail service to open my mail, scan it, and send via email. When ordering online, I avoid any company which uses USPS.
I have no use whatsoever for USPS. Private companies are constantly outperforming USPS so get rid of those parasites already.
A family member of mine, and current postal employee would assure you that this action is par for the course in today’s post office.
By the looks o her, she is probably gearing up for an early retirement disability claim.
A double dip.
Yes, USPS is now hiring temps to replace full time workers.
But current full timers are protected by a no layoff clause.
It lost $15.9 billion last year and at one point in October had less than four days worth of cash available for its operations.
And it’s only answer seems to be to stick taxpayers with it’s retiree benefit obligations.
But for your sake(as a retiree) hopefully they continue to prefund retiree benefits.
I have to agree with the retired USPS employees that privatization won’t work as long as there is paper mail to be delivered. Also, the postal service is written into the Constitution so it would require an amendment to change that. At one time, if a shipper used Fedex or UPS to send an overnight letter, he was required to add US postage in addition to the shipping charges imposed by Fedex or UPS. Fortunately, that requirement was lifted years ago.
@Dennis Carr, there is a service is used by many large shippers these days called Postal Select. That’s where UPS or Fedex pick up and sort the day’s parcels then hand them off to the DDU (destination delivery unit for the non-Postal Service folks). It’s a great service that works, for the most part quite well.
There’s still a lot of usefulness left in the USPS, but it needs to run like UPS or Fedex. There needs to be strong supervision and accountability. As a quasi-government entity, it is doomed to fail.
Here in NYC, our post offices are manned by either Chinese people who can barely speak English, of (very) overweight black females who’s sole function seems to be avoiding (any) work. It’s very common to see 20-30 people waiting on line with only (1) window open for “service”.
It’s quite obvious the postal service has become irrelevant and unnecessary. With yearly losses running into the (Billions), the only reason they’re still going is, as usual, the unions.
What else would you expect from a unionized government worker. My mail service has been terrible for 27 years and complaining has had no affect. I no longer subscribe to magazines, I signed up for every e-bill possible, and I’m certainly no tree-hugger. When I order merchandise, I’ll pay extra to use any delivery other than USPS. My employer avoids dealing with the USPS whenever possible too.
I’m guessing that she was a substitute, who doesn’t care about the route. We have a really great mail carrier. He has a very long, tough route, but he does a wonderful job!
I sell on ebay and have recently been shipping a lot of packages out. He is now aware of it and makes sure to pick up my packages even if I don’t have incoming mail.
It’s an entirely different story on his days off. The substitutes are terrible! My mail has been delivered to the house two doors down three times in the last two months. At first, that neighbor didn’t recognize my name. Fortunately, another neighbor brought the mail to me. The first time that my mail was delivered to the wrong house, it included a replacement debit card that I had been waiting a week for, after having a fraudulent charge on my account. I hadn’t been able to make any purchases and had been anxiously awaiting the new card. Thank God for the neighbor who knows me and brought it to me.
Yesterday, there was a sub and I got no mail of my own, but received all of my next door neighbor’s mail. The house on the other side of me has been vacant for over two years, so I checked there and found that the sub left my mail over there.
A few years ago, my neighbor who lived across the street died right in his front yard. A substitute was delivering mail that day and saw the dead man, but continued on his route without alerting anyone. It was three hours later, before another neighbor found the body and called the police.
I’m inclined to believe the vid was staged, i.e a fake.
Since when do Postal workers wear shocking-pink uniforms?
Me thinks someone has an axe to gring with the Post Office….
A few years back I was sent a birthday gift from a family member via USPS. She paid $17 for 2 day delivery. My birthday was in February. I received the package on my front doorstep in July. Better late than never I guess.
DJ, in some rural areas they can wear what they like. Besides, where would they get a real USPS truck to make a “fake” video?
From a real postal worker with an axe to grind, I suppose.
In any event, in this day and age of Youtube and the Internet, it would be easy to pull off such a hoax, no?
That said, I’m not ruling out the incident is for real; but I’m gonna remain a bit suspicious until the story in verified by a credible source, that’s all.
Fair & balanced…
