   Mr. Condell raises an interesting point: why are the otherwise
   super-sensitive feminists here in the West silent about the oppression
   of women in muslim-majority nations? The Gender Studies departments
   of all of our universities should be shrieking about this 24/7– yet
   I’ve yet to hear a peep. Odd.

   I’m old enough to remember when it seemed like every college campus
   had its demonstrations insisting our government should boycott
   South Africa because of its policy of apartheid. Colleges scrubbed
   their endowments of investments in South Africa. Where’s a similar
   outrage over the treatment of women in Islamic countries?
