Stolen Valor Under a Kleptocracy

A government comprised of thieves will tend to side with thieves — even when what is being stolen is not money but valor. When Kristopher Vieira called out a phony identified as Joseph Mathew Scott for masquerading as an Army Ranger (language alert)…

…an arrest followed. But the authorities didn’t go after the imposter. They arrested Vieira:

Should one really expect anything more from this country now? We have a Kenyan Muslim masquerading as a US President –

    Campus security… lol..

The cops were right to arrest this guy. If people are allowed to expose fake Rangers, who knows what might come next!

I’ll tell you what, when I find out a guy is a vet and ESPECIALLY if I find out they’re either a Seal or a Ranger, that man gets a TON of latitude, courtesy and consideration from me. Mr. Vieira got none, and that speaks volumes.

Mr. Scott should be very grateful that those vets showed so much restraint. Were this a just world, he would have left the scene in his skivvies, with bruises to remind him never to dishonor that uniform ever again.

Those cops are just pissed because playing fake soldier is their gig, and they don’t like it when someone reminds them they aren’t the real thing.

Point of information: is it illegal to impersonate a soldier in this fashion? To wear fatigues and claim to be an Army Ranger? Sure it’s despicable, and I’d say the way the vets were treated was also despicable. But, regarding the imposter, police don’t arrest people for being weasels, even if they are really big, really slimy weasels. Otherwise, the prisons would be full of Democrats. Oh, wait…
