NASA’s Post-Obama Future

Maybe when Obama is finally out office, we will be able to rebuild the useful parts of the federal government — e.g., the Armed Forces and NASA — that the Community Organizer in Chief has been destroying to make way for his grotesquely bloated entitlement state. The agency might drop pandering to Muslims as its primary mission and stop writing dystopian science fiction about the doom that awaits us if we resist collectivism, and go back to manned space missions, so that we no longer have to rely on our Russian adversaries to get people into space. Here’s an excellent mission concept:

Compliments of Red State.

Dont waste a space suit on him. Duct tape him to the next bottle rocket to space.

Ayn Rand was not a fan of government programs. The only time she
approved of a government agency was after being invited to an Apollo
launch and after much thought, she came to the view that this was
such a huge undertaking, that only a government can afford it.

I would not be typing on a computer were it not for the space race, nor
would I own cordless tools. She understood this too, that the research
would result in all kinds of advancement.

We now live in a world in which the agencies and bureaucracies are so
bloated and inefficient that even space exploration is being carried out
by private enterprise. The last several Martian rovers have been built
by Cal. Tech. geeks using off the shelf gears, pulleys, motors, etc.
The brains are Basic Stamp or Arduino microcontrollers available
    at Fry’s or Radio Shack.

Do not expect NASA to turn around. I think we are past the tipping point.

Perhaps NASA could build a sort of Noah’s Ark that we could pack the outgoing Obama administration in.

    A garbage scow of criminals.

I don’t care how it happens or who can get it done but will somebody PLEEEEEEASE launch that asshole into deep space?

The world will be a better place.
