What Washington Could Learn From a Drug Addict

What drug addicts would like to learn from Washington is how to get someone else to finance your destructive addiction without risking life and limb mugging people in person.

On a tip from Kate.

He’s too toned to be a drug addict.

    Message is spot on, though.

  2. AC says:

All the addicts must learn how to do is run a printing press.

It’s how Washington does it, maybe even more so if the debt crisis isn’t resolved in time.

This is huge: Stop The Presses: The Fed Can Fund The Treasury With Over Half A Trillion In Emergency Capital

If the open monetization starts then this will be the beginning of the end.

In keeping with the metaphor, the government has forgotten Scarface’s rule number two: never get high off your own supply.

Everyone screams it’s Washington’s fault, it’s the politicians all equally to blame.

    Bullshit.

We have communist insurgency in this nation.

Wake up and stomp on it until it’s fucking dead.

The libs keep bringing up the fact that the debt ceiling has been raised many times by republicans – especially Reagan. So, I did a little research on that and within about five minutes, I found that when the debt ceiling was raised, the tax revenues far exceeded the spending. Right now it’s the opposite; the spending is at it’s highest point ever and the tax revenues are at their lowest point ever. Check out the following graph, which only goes to 2010 – it’s even worse now:

    Nice Graph.

    ::General Comment::

Gold standard, we need it. It would be a tremendous shock to the system, but it would greatly alter future government spending.

    Thanks Screwy Puppy!

And I’m not trying to say I’m smart for finding it. I don’t know much about these things compared to many who post here. My point is, why aren’t we hearing these facts from our Republican leaders?

I also am not hearing anyone point out the ridiculousness of cutting the Social Security withholding rate by 2% and then saying that the government may not be able to pay the Social Security to those who have worked all of their lives – most have contributed over $50,000 to the program, and have always been GUARANTEED to receive their retirement income.

A drug addict is not a good metaphor for government; drug addicts get something for their money.

more gay porn from the lefties. Please, Dave, for God’s sake, do something!

If you won’t BAN these IP’s… how about publishing them? Shouldn’t be too awful hard to track the little pukes down.

There are several ways to control the crap from mindless progs who have no other means of expressing themselves.

Comment moderation through previously approved commenter’s name, email address, and/or IP address

    and

    Comment rating

If true, then thank you, it’s appreciated.

  14. Bob Roberts says:

As I’ve been saying all along: We don’t need to raise the debt limit. We don’t need to raise taxes. We don’t need to borrow more.

    WE NEED TO SPEND LESS!

    It’s that simple.

    @Henry:

The problem with “comment rating” is that if you get enough trolls making negative ratings on good comments – well you see where that goes, don’t you?

Truthseeker says: July 28, 2011 at 6:18 pm

What “Truthseeker” says is that he’s a lefty poser.

Hey “Truthseeker”, stop on your “Ollie North” conspiracy nonsense. That’s so 1980s! It’s 2011, for God’s sake!

And no, nobody ever forced anyone, black or white, to do crack. It is a personal choice some people foolishly make, so stop blaiming anyone but the person that makes the choice because even if it wasn’t crack it would have been something else.

Why aren’t you complaining about something that is happening NOW like how Obama is enslaving generations?

“once the U.S. government defaults on its debt, people will think twice before lending it any more money; giving politicians the ability to borrow is like giving a teenager a bottle of whiskey and the keys to a Corvette … the debt is an albatross around the necks of the next several generations; it’s criminal to make indentured servants out of people who aren’t even born yet.” – Doug Casey

Go here to take a look at the debt, President by President.

Follow the links at the bottom AND REMEMBER THOUGH, while the President has input at both ends of the budget development process, essentially CONGRESS HOLDS THE POWER OF THE PURSE (only branch that can actually tax and spend – President may only request what he wants and spend what he is given) so ultimately the fix is to reign in Congress. We need to reform CONGRESS now and though they have a few fringe moonbats hanging around (mostly leftists trying and failing to discredit them by showing up at their functions and doing typical moonbat things) I’d say that the TEA PARTY is actually our best bet and hope for the moment, since many Republicans are still up to their usual games.

  15. Bob Roberts says:

    @ Hail The Amberlamps!

The first step is to identify and rid government of them, starting essentially with anyone in Congress with a (D) after their name and some (I) and even a few (R) as well. We need to clean up the various government agencies and such that we don’t shut completely down and we need to definitely start culling judges through impeachment whenever and wherever we find them giving activist decisions that go directly against the Constitution.

  16. Henry says:

The problem with “comment rating” is that if you get enough trolls making negative ratings on good comments – well you see where that goes, don’t you?

That’s what the comment moderation prevents. If a prog troll slips by, the regular folks will out number any votes. No system is going to be perfect, but it beats having to deal with the free-for-all crap fest the progs are currently engaged in.

  18. Logic Mine says:

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??? WASHINGTON can learn from DRUG ADDICTS?

    HELL, THEY ARE DRUG ADDICTS!!!

No, what they need to learn from is the DRY HEAVES and WITHDRAWL PAINS!

  19. Ned Wicker says:

Boy isn’t that the truth, too bad all of the money being spent on this current Washington food fight couldn’t be spent treating people addicted to drugs.

Washington spends alot of time and money to do nothing!
