So I’m having this conversation with a moonbat who chose “Commie Dearest” as their screen name on some other venue and the discussion was about racist cartoons – moonbats accuse Republicans of always presenting them and I pointed out that if you do a search you come up with a bunch of cartoons by Democrats that portray Republicans saying racist things, cartoons by Democrats that show Republicans making racist posters or cartoons, but few if any actual Republican cartoons that are racist (though I did find cartoons by DEMOCRATS (or other liberals/progressives) that were CLEARLY racist.

So “Commie Dearest” goes back several years and finds that some Republican operative who was new to his position received an e-mail, probably from some Democrats who knew he had a habit of doing this, and forwarded it without reading it.

Included in the body of the e-mail was this:

“My Dog is black, unemployed, lazy, can’t speak English and has no frigging clue who his Daddy is.”

Now I thought two things about that:

    1) If none of those things (well, other than the ‘black’ bit) were true about me, I wouldn’t be at all upset.

    2) If any of the other bits were true about me I would be upset, not at the sentence but at the fact I allowed part of it to be true about me and I would harness my anger to change myself for the better.

    but the point is

    3) This isn’t a cartoon. We were talking about Cartoons and he had to go back several years and all he could come up with was not a cartoon but something by a person who wasn’t even identified who said something that got inadvertently forwarded AND WAS NOT A CARTOON!

Moonbats – they try, and fail, in epic fashion.

BTW was out and about all day – anyone already post that EBOLA HAS REACHED NEW YORK yet?

Mayor Bill de Blasio said that a doctor admitted to Bellevue Hospital Center on Thursday has tested positive for the Ebola virus, adding “there’s no reason for New Yorkers to be alarmed.”

Dr. Spencer began to feel sluggish on Tuesday but did not develop a fever until Thursday morning, he told the authorities. At 11 a.m., he found he had a 103-degree temperature and alerted the staff of Doctors Without Borders, according to the official.

Dr. Spencer, 33, had traveled on the A and L subway lines Wednesday night, visited a bowling alley in Williamsburg, then took a taxi back to Manhattan.

But there’s no reason to be alarmed.

And denial is more than a river in Egypt, apparently.

Well what do you know… turns out the cure for diabetes is skin cancer.

Scottish scientists say that getting a lot of sun curbs or cures diabetes and weight gain – so I guess I shouldn’t have any problem with either, since I have always got a lot of sun… but I’m a real risk for skin cancer as a result once I get older, I’m told.

I’m pretty sure they only ran this story because it gave them an excuse to run some pictures of attractive women in barely there bathing suits.

    Hard to believe but true:

Running Scared: Maryland Democrats Play The Race Card

The unpopularity of Gov. Martin O’Malley, and Brown’s leadership in the state’s failed $288 million health-care exchange website, have hampered what was expected to be a coronation.

A new mailer with the authority line “Paid for by the Maryland Democratic Party” targets black voters by tying Republicans to the Democratic Party’s racist past.

The mailer’s front page reads, “It’s been a long journey…” over a picture of Martin Luther King and civil rights marchers.

Only problem is it was DEMOCRATS who passed laws instituting segregation, DEMOCRATS who passed poll tax laws, DEMOCRATS who filibustered to prevent civil rights legislation moving forward – in sort everything these RACISTS ADS BY DEMOCRATS accuse Republicans of were things DEMOCRATS ACTUALLY DID!

Three weeks shy of opening his newest Illegal Pete’s in Old Town Fort Collins, restaurant owner Pete Turner says the name Illegal Pete’s, is a literary reference to a bar in a novel he read as an English major in Boulder. “Pete” also refers to his own name and his father’s. When he started the restaurant in 1995, Turner hoped the name would be ambiguous enough to spark people’s interest, perhaps referring to counterculture activity. you know, just the sort of thing that would attract the moonbat crowd. Well, attract the moonbat crowd it certainly has!

It’s sparked interest – of the PC POLICE who are demanding he change the name.

    I hope he stands firm.

“Since I know the context, and I have been labeled with (the word illegal), it makes a huge difference to me,” said Lucy Gonzalez, 25.

No, you weren’t labeled’ with anything. You are here ILLEGALLY and so it is proper to refer to you as an ILLEGAL ALIEN, Lucy.

    It’s a simple as that.

    Here’s some more moonbat nonsense:

“Social context is hugely important,” Fort Collins immigration attorney and meeting moderator Kim Medina said. “We’ll never get to big issues, such as immigration reform, until we can solve these smaller issues of language.”

Wrong. All we have to do is have Congress pass and the President sign an order to seal the border effectively and deport anyone who is or has been here illegally in the past 20 years. Rescind anchor baby status, rescind all the enticements that encourage illegals to come here. Once we do that we can talk about the small issues of language. Not before.

New records contradict the Obama administration’s assurances to Congress and the public that the 2,200 people it freed from immigration jails last year to save money had only minor criminal records.

Immigration officials released some undocumented immigrants who had faced far more serious criminal charges, including people charged with kidnapping, sexual assault, drug trafficking and homicide.

The release sparked a furor in Congress. Republican lawmakers accused the Obama administration of setting dangerous criminals free. In response, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it had released “low-risk offenders who do not have serious criminal records,” a claim the administration repeated to the public and to members of Congress.

The new records, including spreadsheets and hundreds of pages of e-mails, offer the most detailed information yet about the people ICE freed as it prepared for steep, across-the-government spending cuts in February 2013. They show that several had been arrested or convicted on charges more severe than the administration had disclosed.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., said it is “deeply troubling that ICE would knowingly release thousands of undocumented immigrant detainees – many with prior criminal records – into our streets, while publicly downplaying the danger they posed.”

Immigration authorities detain an average of about 34,000 people a day.

    We’re being invaded.

A spreadsheet ICE officials prepared listing the detainees includes one person in Texas charged with aggravated kidnapping and sexually assaulting a child, as well as others charged with armed assaults or assaulting police officers. Another immigrant released from Miami had been charged with conspiracy to commit homicide. Two detainees from Boston had been charged with aggravated assault using a weapon. One in Denver had a sexual assault charge.

I’m just going to let this be a lesson on what too much PC does to a person:

The video shows the woman, who says she is originally from Los Angeles talking through a loudspeaker to the tourists saying things like, “f**k Chinatown. F**k your little herb gardens. F**k your little seafood f**king markets and your turtles and your frogs. F**k your f**king ginseng. F**k your little hair salons where no one in there knows how to speak English! When you come to America you gotta assimilate a little bit, and here in America we don’t eat turtles or frogs, OK? But they gotta bring that here to America, OK? There’s a limit, OK? You gotta assimilate a little bit Chinatown!” she says. “F**k your laundry hanging out the window, f**k your three or four people inside each one of your little SROs!”

Posting as a guest because I’m having a load of trouble – I keep getting references to a site in Hollywood called VINDICOSUITE dot COM which seems to be all about Denial of Service attacks, either directed against me (my guess) or against general users of your site. Anyway, it puts me into endless loops where it keeps me waiting for x dot vindicosuite dot com and mpp dot vindicosuite dot com. Anyway, re my last post, do you know why trying to read or post comments to your site would wind up sending me into endless loops of referrals to VINDICOSUITE? Do you even know this is happening? Are you aware it prevents people from seeing or replying to comments on your threads? And it’s a SERVER in Hollywood (I said ‘site’ in the previous post). I found a reference on another conservative blog site that indicated they’d been subjected to what they thought was a Denial of Service attack through VINDICOSUITE too.

Obama’s triple punch hits America in the gut after midterms
No matter who wins or loses on Election Day, President Obama is ready with a big new push of his radical agenda the very next day. It includes a triple punch on immigration amnesty, higher health insurance costs and putting thousands of convicts back on the streets early.

Mr. Obama says his policies are on the ballot but there’s nothing democratic about his agenda. All of these are executive actions that would require heroic efforts by Congress to reverse. Every candidate and incumbent should reveal how they’ll fight against Mr. Obama’s triple whammy that will hit America in the gut between Nov. 5th and the end of this year.

The only thing holding Mr. Obama back has been his desire to avoid backlash at the polls against his fellow Democrats. So he has used his typical tactics of deception and propaganda, plus friendly media, to suppress public awareness.

Doctor in New York City Is Sick With Ebola
A doctor in New York City who recently returned from treating Ebola patients in Guinea became the first person in the city to test positive for the virus Thursday, setting off a search for anyone who might have come into contact with him.

The doctor, Craig Spencer, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital Center and placed in isolation at the same time as investigators sought to retrace every step he had taken over the past several days.

Official cites ‘epidemic of fear’ in US
WASHINGTON (AP) The likelihood of a significant outbreak of Ebola in the U.S. is remote, in the view of a top Health and Human Services official who is assuring lawmakers that government agencies are preparing for any contingency.

The comments on Ebola from Dr. Nicole Lurie, assistant HHS secretary for preparedness and response, came in prepared testimony for a hearing Friday by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Lurie’s statement was written before news broke late Thursday of a fourth Ebola case diagnosed in the U.S. a doctor in New York City who had treated patients in Guinea.

That was certain to prompt renewed fears over Ebola and more questions from lawmakers. Republicans in particular have questioned the Obama administration’s response to Ebola, and the hearing, taking place less than two weeks before the midterm elections, was likely to feature more criticism.

Republicans have called for a travel ban and quarantines of travelers arriving here from Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, the hot spots for the epidemic that has killed thousands in Africa. The Obama administration has resisted such steps even while increasing screening of travelers arriving here and ensuring that they are monitored for 21 days, the incubation period for the deadly disease.

No voter fraud – just illegals (and those trying to become legal, but not there yet) voting fradulently

Our data comes from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study (CCES). Its large number of observations (32,800 in 2008 and 55,400 in 2010) provide sufficient samples of the non-immigrant sub-population, with 339 non-citizen respondents in 2008 and 489 in 2010. For the 2008 CCES, we also attempted to match respondents to voter files so that we could verify whether they actually voted.

How many non-citizens participate in U.S. elections? More than 14 percent of non-citizens in both the 2008 and 2010 samples indicated that they were registered to vote. Furthermore, some of these non-citizens voted. Our best guess, based upon extrapolations from the portion of the sample with a verified vote, is that 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008 and 2.2 percent of non-citizens voted in 2010.

(Note that they keep using the term, “non-citizen,” without specifying whether they mean immigrants who have entered the country illegally or immigrants who are in the process of legally becoming citizens — lawful permanent residents, a.k.a. “green card” holders, or both. It’s a crime either way, but it’s easier to imagine a lawful permanent resident mistakenly thinking they have already earned the right to vote.)

If they mean 6.4 percent of 11 million illegal immigrants… we’re talking about roughly 700,000 votes being cast by non-citizens in 2008. Stunning. If true, it refutes my earlier contention that proven cases of voter fraud would only swing elections in races that come down to a few hundred votes.

    But this section is fascinating:

We also find that one of the favorite policies advocated by conservatives to prevent voter fraud appears strikingly ineffective. Nearly three quarters of the non-citizens who indicated they were asked to provide photo identification at the polls claimed to have subsequently voted.

Is it really that a significant number of illegal immigrants now have a fake photo ID that looks realistic enough to fool voter registration and ballot box authorities? If that’s the case, it’s not really accurate to call them “undocumented immigrants,” now is it? More like “forged document immigrants.” Or is it that the poll workers manning the polling places that day aren’t really bothering to examine the IDs shown to them?

  • Bodhisattva

Could non-citizens decide the November election?

That’s the goal of Obama and the Democrats, anyway, with a ‘get out the vote’ machine looking for every illegal vote they can garner.

In a forthcoming article in the journal Electoral Studies, we bring real data from big social science survey datasets to bear on the question of whether, to what extent, and for whom non-citizens vote in U.S. elections. Most non-citizens do not register, let alone vote. But enough do that their participation can change the outcome of close races.

Our data comes from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study(CCES).

(See table at link provided.)

Because non-citizens tended to favor Democrats (Obama won more than 80 percent of the votes of non-citizens in the 2008 CCES sample), we find that this participation was large enough to plausibly account for Democratic victories in a few close elections. Non-citizen votes could have given Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health-care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) won election in 2008 with a victory margin of 312 votes. Votes cast by just 0.65 percent of Minnesota non-citizens could account for this margin. It is also possible that non-citizen votes were responsible for Obama’s 2008 victory in North Carolina. Obama won the state by 14,177 votes, so a turnout by 5.1 percent of North Carolina’s adult non-citizens would have provided this victory margin.

FANTASY: Climate alarmists predict more and worse tropical storms.

Florida: Record Nine Years Have Passed Without A Hurricane Landfall, But That Streak Will End … Eventually

Oddly enough, this is a site from The Weather Channel, which has been dominated by climate alarmists. Their spin is that this too, shall pass – and they’re right. But they aren’t getting the message.

This is the longest stretch on record dating to 1851 that no hurricanes have made landfall in the state. The longest hurricane-free streak prior to this one was five consecutive seasons from 1980 to 1984.

This is impressive, considering the coastline of Florida spans more than 1,260 miles from the Gulf Coast to the Atlantic Ocean, and an average of 8 hurricanes have formed each year since 2005.

Equally impressive is the barrage of storms that pummeled the state before the hurricane drought.

Valerie Jarrett Key Player in Fast and Furious Cover-Up After Holder Lied to Congress

President Obama’s trusted senior advisor, Valerie Jarrett, was a key player in the effort to cover up that Attorney General Eric Holder lied to Congress about the Fast and Furious scandal, according to public records obtained by Judicial Watch.

The information is part of a Department of Justice (DOJ) “Vaughn index” detailing records about the gun-running operation known as Fast and Furious. JW had to sue the agency for the records after the Obama administration failed to provide them under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). A federal court ordered the DOJ to provide the records over the agency’s objections. Yesterday JW reported on the broad information in the records, including that Obama asserted executive privilege for Holder’s wife as part of the administration’s efforts to cover up the scandal.

Practically lost in the 1,000-plus pages of records is an index that shows Jarrett was brought in to manage the fact that Holder lied to Congress after the story about the disastrous gun-running operation broke in the media. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) ran the once-secret program that allowed guns from the U.S. to be smuggled into Mexico so they could eventually be traced to drug cartels. Instead, federal law enforcement officers lost track of hundreds of weapons which have been used in an unknown number of crimes, including the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Arizona.

The files received by JW include three electronic mails between Holder and Jarrett and one from former U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke to Jarrett. The e-mails with Holder are all from October 4, 2011, a significant date because, on the evening of October 3rd, Sheryl Attkisson (then at CBS news) released documentsshowing that Holder had been sent a briefing paper on Operation Fast and Furious on June 5, 2010. The paper was from the director of the National Drug Intelligence Center, Michael Walther.

This directly contradicted Holder’s May 3, 2011 testimony to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, during which he stated that he, “probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.” The October 4, 2011 date may also be significant because it came shortly after the August 30, 2011 resignation of U.S. Attorney for Arizona Dennis Burke and reassignment of acting ATF director Kenneth Melson to the position of “senior forensics advisor” at DOJ.
