Bowe Bergdahl Versus Audie Murphy

The officer corps must need some more purging, because someone in the Army stood up to Obama. Bowe Bergdahl, for whom Obama traded five top Taliban commanders housed with the rest of the world’s most dangerous terrorists at Club Gitmo, has been charged with desertion:

Army officials said in a statement that Bergdahl has been charged with desertion with intent to shirk important or hazardous duty and misbehavior before the enemy by endangering the safety of a command, unit or place. …

Under the misbehavior-before-the-enemy charge, Bergdahl faces a maximum punishment of confinement for life, a dishonorable discharge, a reduction to private and total forfeiture of pay and allowances since the time of his disappearance, Army officials said. The desertion charge carries a maximum punishment of five years in prison, a dishonorable discharge, a reduction to private and a total forfeiture of pay and allowances.

Desertion has historically been punishable by death, but the Army will not pursue that in Bergdahl’s case.

Too bad, because he richly deserves it. He also likely deserves to be charged with treason for deliberately defecting to the enemy in time of war. But then, treason is no big deal in the Age of Hope & Change.

At last word, Bergdahl was still walking around loose, according to Chief of Public Affairs Paul Boyce:

“Sgt. Robert Bowdrie (“Bowe”) Bergdahl remains assigned to and physically located with U.S. Army North headquarters at Fort Sam Houston. He is not in pretrial confinement or any form of arrest or restriction.”

If honor prevails, Bergdahl will make use of this opportunity to do the right thing and put an end to his own misery. But honor certainly has not prevailed where Bergdahl is concerned in the past.

Speaking of treason and of honor not prevailing, here is what Obama had to say when he illegally released the top terrorists in return for the deserter:

obama-bergdahl

A good day for the Taliban, certainly.

Watch in horror as representatives of the Obama Administration characterize the deserter as having served with “honor and distinction”:

Another Obama official even implied that Bergdahl might have been right to desert.

As many as 14 US soldiers who really did serve with honor and distinction died looking for Bergdahl.

The Obama Administration waged an intimidation campaign against soldiers who might speak out against Bergdahl, possibly lest it become known that he did not just desert, but defected and collaborated with the enemy:

As Obama traded the terrorist commanders for Bergdahl, Andrew Tahmooressi was languishing in a Mexican prison. A simple phone call from Obama would have freed him; but Obama couldn’t be bothered. But then Tahmooressi didn’t win Obama’s heart with statements like this:

“I am sorry for everything here [in Afghanistan]. These people need help, yet what they get is the most conceited country in the world telling them that they are nothing and that they are stupid.”

…and this:

“I am ashamed to be an American. And the title of US soldier is just the lie of fools. I am sorry for everything. The horror that is America is disgusting.”

Does anyone remember Audie Murphy?

Audie Leon Murphy (20 June 1925 – 28 May 1971) was one of the most decorated American combat soldiers of World War II, receiving every military combat award for valor available from the U.S. Army, as well as French and Belgian awards for heroism. At the age of 19, Murphy received the Medal of Honor after single-handedly holding off an entire company of German soldiers for an hour at the Colmar Pocket in France in January 1945, then leading a successful counterattack while wounded and out of ammunition.

Then he went on to star in some excellent westerns.

Audie Murphy personified all that was best about the America that defeated the Nazis and the Imperial Japanese. Bowe Bergdahl personifies all that is worst about the America that elected Obama.

The fing muzzie was so happy to make this deal. How all his bitches are saying it was still a good swap. Talk about a horseshit deal. No media will hold the regime to answer for this swap. The only outcome would to shoot the fucking traitor. Never happen the muzzie will pardon the POS. As always FUBO 🙂

  • “The officer corps must need some more purging, because someone in the Army stood up to Obama.”

That’s exactly what I was thinking. At least one officer has sacrificed his career to do the right thing.

  • They had to or the entire US Army would have revolted. Everyone knew the scumbag was a traitor and if the brass failed to act, the shit would have hit the fan!

  • Mr. Mentalo

What “honor and distinction” used to look like in America…

  • As happy as I am that it appears justice will be done in the Bergdahl case, the military has better reasons than that to revolt. Members swear an oath to the Constitution that Barack Obama is busy trashing.

  • Saxon Warrior

Bergdahl and his fungus-infested-bearded daddy are TRAITORS. These scumbags should be publicly hanged.
The same goes for the Kenyan/Indonesian sodomite usurper in the White House.
Obama and his freak tranny wife should be arrested IMMEDIATELY. They are the enemies inside the gates!

  • War stories of Audie Murphy’s valor are about the most inspiring I’ve ever heard in my life… I’ll never be half the man

  • Audie Murphy = patriot, cubed

Look, Eleanor! An old-fashioned vaginal irrigator. This must be eBay.

How dare you compare the president to the useful object above, which, while unpleasant does bring relief and a cleansing to users. Although I must admit there is a bit of resemblance around the douch nozzle.

  • Momster

If Bergdahl had “fought” in WWII by now he wowuld have received the Iron Cross.

  • Momster

Bergdahl’s father had to speak in Arabic (or whatever Muzzie language) as his son had forgotten his English. I wonder, how many prisoners of war held by Germans or Japanese captors forgot English? Just asking.

  • Roger

Not to worry folks, Sgt Bergdahl will wind up a free man soon after his plea bargain deal worked out by the “justice” dept.
After all, we cannot have the son of good hard working dimocrats incarcerated for being pro muslim can we now?

If you haven’t already, you should read Murphy’s excellent biography ‘No Name on the Bullet’.

  • Tchhht!!!

I saw Audie Murphy’s movie “To Hell and Back” first run when I was a kid. I can’t remember how many times I went back to see it again and again, and I usually don’t miss it when it comes on TV. I have the book as well and have read it several times.
He is a true American hero and it is sad that so many young people today don’t even know his name. RIP Audie.

  • Mr. Mentalo

It was the same with…what was his name, the “American Taliban” guy. They caught that him and he was saying it was difficult to speak English because “We’ve been speaking only Arabic for six months”.

Six months, a couple of years and they can’t remember a language they’ve spoken all their lives? Sorry, no. As to Baghdad Bowe’s father, that was a message to the Moslem world, delivered straight from the Rose Garden saying “Allah will conquer”…and if you see the video, watch B. Hussein’s face…he can hardly hide his glee.

As to Marie “Smarty Pants™ Glasses” Harf and Jen Psaki still insisting that Bowe-Bowe is a hero, it goes to show that they are compelled…spiritually, and I’m not joking…to lie. Marie is more on-board, you can see it in her “I’m SO much more educated than you” sophomoric sneer, but Ms. Psaki looks a bit less comfortable with it. Still, she wormed her way back into the White House, so she is still in bed with Satan.

  • 762×51

THIS is what a real American soldier looks like.

  • 762×51

Even a RINO like McCain who was held in the Hanoi Hilton for longer than Bergdahl was held by the Taliban could still speak English when released.

  • 762×51

Murphy had more courage in the part in his hair than the likes of Bergdahl has in his whole body.

  • 762×51

The truth is that Barack Obama reinforced the enemy in a time of war. If they are going to prosecute Bergdahl, and believe me, they should, then they MUST also prosecute Obama for his traitorous actions.

  • William R. Skora

We should hope that the entire administration will eventually do the honourable thing and take turns sucking on the barrel of a shotgun. Alas, they will not for they are incapable of seeing their folly of their efforts through the filter of their own corruption.
