Possible Resistance to Left-Wing Takeover of Vatican

The radical left’s strategy of subverting major institutions from within has achieved tremendous success. Leftists have a stranglehold on the media and education establishments, and consequently dominate Western governments. Churches such as the Church of England and the Episcopal Church have been corrupted to the point that they are still Christian in name only, serving mainly to preach the godless gospel of political correctness. The Catholic Church is a crucial institution that held out until the appointment of Pope Francis. A close confederate gives an idea where he is coming from:

Honduran Cardinal Oscar Rodríguez Maradiaga came out swinging against the delegation of climate realists that recently traveled to the Vatican and featured CFACT’s Marc Morano.

Politico reports that, “the Pope’s closest adviser on Tuesday slammed climate-change skeptics, blaming capitalist motivations from ‘movements in the United States.’”

Crux reports that Cardinal Rodríguez said that environmentalism is “too tied to a capitalism that doesn’t want to stop ruining the environment because they don’t want to give up their profits.”

Cardinal Rodriguez is an adherent of left-wing “liberation theology.”

Cardinalrating.com reports that he has likened global Capitalism to Nazism, declared a fence between the U.S. and Mexico to be comparable to the “Berlin Wall,” called for the complete “forgiveness” of the national debts of developing world nations, and called the American embargo of Cuba “ridiculous.”

Cardinal Rodriguez has been considered a papal candidate himself. “He is young enough, say many Vatican watchers, that he could be considered again.”

Why not? It would make perfect sense after Francis. He could continue Francis’s work of plunging the world into the poverty, tyranny, and darkness of oligarchical collectivism in the name of the collapsing global warming hoax.

But sticking a fork in the Catholic Church may be premature:

Word has it, according to Vaticanist Sandro Magister, Pope Francis has decided to postpone the publication of his long-awaited encyclical on the environment. The reason, according to Magister, is that the Pope realized that the document in its current state had no chance of receiving the approval of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith under the leadership of Cardinal Gerhard Müller.

This is of interest not only to Catholics. Recall the key role Pope Jean Paul II played in bringing down communist tyranny. In today’s Vatican, the Pope would side with the Soviet Union.

Moving the papacy from the good guy to the bad guy column represents a major victory for the sort of people who helped Obama to power. Hopefully resistance within the Vatican is fierce.

In the history of Christianity this has been faced before. By the Grace of God we will get through it, but it won’t be easy. Pope Francis and friends continue to expose themselves as foolish men, over reaching their competency — if they have any. They have abandoned sound Christian reasoning — they are failing. The Catholic Church is not just the Pope!

The Catholic Church and its teachings are the culminations of the Bible, the Magisterium (Pope and College of Cardinals together), Tradition (All the Fathers/Theologians of the Church) and the Holy Spirit/God.

There have been bad Popes before. So what! Any man, even a Pope, can be wrong. Man, by his very nature, is fallible.

A Pope is only infallible on matters of faith and morals when the Pope, guided by the Holy Spirit, makes such a pronouncement consistent with the Bible, the Magisterium and Tradition

Since the Catholic Church was created by Jesus/God, it cannot fail. Man can fail, but the Catholic Church cannot.

So don’t despair. Even Jesus Christ had his Judas. Maybe by allowing Judas to be an Apostle and to betray Him, Jesus was showing us that man, even an original Apostle, was flawed, a sinner. And, as such, we should put our faith in him and his Catholic Church and not in a man, even if he is Pope.

The Catholic Church cannot fail but no where does it say that the Latin/Roman rite will survive. The Eastern rites, are doing fine. They may well end up being the savior in all of this.

St. Thomas the Apostle started my Chaldean Catholic Church. We are an offshoot of the Assyrians. These are the rites who are under the Roman Catholic Church. Does that help?
