National Science Foundation Admits CO2 Won’t Cause Problematic Global Warming

This won’t come as much of a surprise — except to moonbats:

According to a recent study funded by the National Science Foundation’s Paleoclimate Program, climate change may be far less sensitive to carbon dioxide fluctuations than previously predicted.

The most notable predictions of CO2-based climate change came from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report in 2007. The report suggested that should the CO2 in the Earth’s atmosphere double from pre-Industrial standards (pre-1850), it could result in a global 2 to 4.5 degree Celsius (3.6 – 8.1 degrees Fahrenheit) temperature increase worldwide. The mean level in this finding was 3 degrees Celsius (5 degrees Fahrenheit). This, of course, would be catastrophic, leading to the melting of polar ice, as well as significant sea temperature increases and global flooding due to rising ocean levels.

Maybe; however,

It appears that that these dire numbers might not be accurate according to a the lead author of the new report, Oregon State University researcher Andreas Schmittner.

“Many previous climate sensitivity studies have looked at the past only from 1850 through today, and not fully integrated paleoclimate date, especially on a global scale,” said Schmittner. “When you reconstruct sea and land surface temperatures from the peak of the last Ice Age 21,000 years ago – which is referred to as the Last Glacial Maximum – and compare it with climate model simulations of that period, you get a much different picture.

“If these paleoclimatic constraints apply to the future, as predicted by our model, the results imply less probability of extreme climatic change than previously thought,” Schmittner added.

Good thing we didn’t do something really stupid back when practically everyone seemed to believe in global warming hysteria — like sign the Copenhagen suicide pact or pass Tax & Charade, as Democrats were so keen to do. We settled instead for putting the EPA in a position to impose the lunacy gradually, from the shadows.

So Mr. Lead Author waits almost five years to release this itty bitty inconsequential footnote?

Bet you see alot of these whore-scientists clawing back their credibility. Let”s not allow it to them. Ever.

In the 1970′s, scientists looked at the data and concluded that we were entering a New Ice Age, and they concluded “Give us billions of dollars and change your lifestyle, or our planet is doomed in the next decade!!!

In the 1990′s, scientists looked at the data and concluded that we were entering a period of Global Warming, and they concluded “Give us billions of dollars and change your lifestyle, or our planet is doomed in the next decade!!!

Today, scientists look at the data and decide that the Earth and its environment are too unstable due to the influence of man, and they conclude “Give us billions of dollars and change your lifestyle, or our planet is doomed in the next decade!!!

What will they come up with next???

It matters not. In the end, most brain-dead Americans will still believe what they hear on TV.

This report is a bit old, but cogent in today’s idiocracy.

In point of fact, if you read their entire research and report this announcement is 50% BS in as much as the report ACTUALLY says the warming really expected will be somewhat less than the noise value of the data. They’re trying to ease out the door before the pitchforks and torches arrive.

Two points: the 450,000 year ice cores show cyclical ice ages and interglacial periods and CO2 peaks around 800 years AFTER the warm up as the oceans cough up the dissolved CO2 from the cold periods; secondly, the ocean rise is falling off rapidly towards an asymptote because the amount of surface ice available has decreased, duh. Originally where I sit in Minnesota it was over a half mile thick in ice. In places to the north it was a mile thick. Today I’ve got a sprinkling of snow on the ground because… IT’S WINTER.

I’ve been building computer models of chaotic financial transactions for decades. So have thousands of other analysts. No one has hit the bell yet. Many false starts, but no golden goose as it were. Yet weather and climate are MUCH more complicated and these ass biscuits tell us they can predict accurately 100 years into the future. Yeah. Right.

Chuck, do you remember the story about the two hurricane researchers from Colorado State University? They had been studying and predicting hurricanes for 30 years, and this year stopped issuing their December forcasts, because they said that the weather patterns were too chaotic and unpredictable to try and guess MONTHS into the future.

Yet the climatologists tell us they know with perfect certainity what will happen DECADES in the future!

Anthony Watts at Watts Up With That conducted the science experiment that is supposed to prove how powerful a greenhouse gas CO2 is. He conducted the experiment several times.

His findings in all circumstances showed that regular air was actually a slightly better greenhouse gas than CO2. His experiments also proved beyond doubt that a video Al Gore had produced of such an experiment was fake.

Where is the actual proof CO2 is such a powerful greenhouse gas that even parts-per-million affect the climate of the world?

Help!!!! Our leftist government, in concert with the greens have imposed a Carbon Tax that has already lead to massive increases in power bills even though the tax doesn’t start till mid 2012.

Fight hard my American friends, learn from others mistakes…..

EPA Golmer says: Surprise, Surprise, Surprise. Anyone that took high school physics knows the law of conservation of energy which states that matter can neither be created or destroyed. ALL of the carbon on this planet has always been here, its for can be transmuted but humans cannot create more carbon. Humans themselves are carbon based life forms. To suggest that carbon is the problem is as ridiculous as suggesting that oxygen is the problem after all oxygen concentrations of 21%(air) at partial pressures above 6 bar are toxic. Next time you want to know all there is to know about global warming, look up, there is a big orange ball in the daytime sky that MIGHT be related to the problem.

Did you hear? The latest study proves beyond a doubt that clinging to your bible, voying Republican, and owning a gun causes irreversible global slippage, or distortion, causing the end of all life on earth!
