Americans Consider Leaving Their Apparently Futureless Fundamentally Transformed Country

The Hopey Changey fundamental transformation is certainly having its effect on Americans’ attitudes toward their country:

A recent online poll of more than 2,000 adults by TransferWise, a peer-to-peer money transfer service based in the United Kingdom, revealed that 35 percent of American-born residents and emigrants would consider leaving the United States to live in another country.

This percentage greatly increases for those age 18 to 34. More than half of millennials, a whopping 55 percent, said that they would consider leaving the U.S. for foreign shores.

To paraphrase the Worst Lady, for the first time in America’s life, its citizens want out.

We have endured awful presidencies before, but never one this bad — and never one that it seemed so likely we will never fully recover from.

It’s not quite too late to restore the country, but the forces destroying it are now well entrenched, so it will take a hell of a fight.

In distress.

Those wanting to leave should not let the door hit them in the a$$.

    And go where?

  • Summerwarmth

I agree – go where? My ancestors helped found this country. Not quite on the Mayflower but some where pretty soon there after. Of course a lot of immigrants in my family as well. My grandfather said we were American Mutts but mutts are often the toughest and the smartest.

    “Who is John Galt?”

Unfortunately I readily understand the sentiment..

  • Earl Woods

I agree with the, “go where?” sentiments. I absolutely am not optimistic about the future the way things are going, but I can’t think of any other place in the civilized world that the libtards haven’t sunk their claws into.

When the Roman empire was crumbling people would flee north to escape the horrible burdens of taxation and arbitrary rule by decree.

That sample is a little fuzzy.

    3000 out of 300 million?

It may make the Limeys feel good about themselves (yeah, sure, look at what the Lefties have done there), but it’s doubtless bogus.

  • ramrodd

With 55 percent of kids wanting to leave – which is hard to believe…..

Things are only going to get worse…….

  • DinaRehn

Yes, but think of it, this time around there will be the fun of all the new modern weaponry including Nucs. /s

And the national Socialist Left would call this ‘Progress’.

  • Appalled By The World

I sure feel like exiling myself much of the time as well. Problem is where can one go? Mindless Leftism is all over the world these days (this century’s Black Death) and where it isn’t there’s horrendous Islamania. I’d much rather reclaim the US in the name of sanity but it looks more and more like an impossible dream each day.

Actually, I’m surprised that many people want out of the OPR-my guess is that many of them are disappointed in Chicago Jesus after they helped him descend from the heavens. If that’s the case then they must not be allowed to leave-let them reap what they helped to sow.

“Not too long ago, two friends of mine were talking to a Cuban refugee, a businessman who had escaped from Castro, and in the midst of his story one of my friends turned to the other and said, “We don’t know how lucky we are.” And the Cuban stopped and said, “How lucky you are? I had someplace to escape to.” And in that sentence he told us the entire story. If we lose freedom here, there’s no place to escape to. This is the last stand on earth.”
    Ronald Reagan

Soon Americans will swim for Cuba to gain some freedom. And the border patrol will shoot at them as they try to escape. Uncle Fidel is almost an improvement over his spiritual nephew that currently occupies the former (now Rainbow apparently)White House.

  • DinaRehn

The people I feel the bad for the most are those who fled Socialist nations to come here only to have it’s organized evil follow them here.

  • Cameraman

Let the ungrateful Bastards go, the The Three Percent will bail everybody’s ass out as Before…its Coming!!!!

  • Appalled By The World

Exactly. Must be reminiscent of Hiroshima survivors that arrived in Nagasaki just before THEY got bombed.

Libtardism is the 21st century equivalent of the Black Plague. It’s everywhere-and almost as deadly.

They think it’s bad here, wait till they see the shitholes that await them out in the world.

  • 762×51

Having lived through the dismal Carter presidency, a brief four years of mediocrity, I used to believe that the worst was behind me. I was wrong.

My family was here before the Declaration of Independence, I’m not going any where. I will not be the first of my family to die fighting for this country.

Yes, unlike people who fled the Bolsheviks, the Nazis, and Castro’s Cuba, we have nowhere to run.

You can’t just blame Nobama. Blame also goes to the collaborating Depublicans.

The fascists at DOJ took away the Border Patrols rifles more than a year ago so they couldn’t stop the Mexican invasion. They only have pistols to defend themselves against the cartels who carry Kalashnikov style rifles.

A very large number of Americans have rifles. Never bring a pistol to a rifle fight.

They want to run off to some dreamworld, fantasy island in indochina, leave the world behind, to live like, unrealistic, low life scabs, on a hidden beach, smoking pot and doing whatever else, they wanted, like leonardo de caprio.
    Only, they couldn’t.

I was born here, I’m not leaving. I’ll fight before they displace me to anywhere else.

Repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments, hold representatives accountable who believe that courts make laws, enforce The Constitution, and watch the cockroaches flee for their lives.

  • Appalled By The World

They won’t shoot invaders. But they’ll shoot at those trying to escape their tyranny. Elian Gonzalez was lucky to get out when he did the way things are going.

I actually did move out of the country in 2010.
As a severely injured OIF OEF Veteran I felt totally out of place in civilian America. I was sick of leftists and I was sick and tired of those on the right who just want OIF OEF veterans to shut up if their opinions differ. As a %100 disabled veteran I get paid no matter when I am so I bought a ticket to Asia and moved to the Philippines.

I was actually happy for the first time in years. I made friends easily where I could not make friends in the States. I chose to study WW2 over there and met a wonderful woman who is now my wife and we have a child. Life was really good, and everyday I learned something and intergrated into their culture.

But things changed in 2013. All of a sudden I could no longer get my medicines that make life bearable for me because they were made illegal. For another 8 months I took high doses of low strength medicine which cost me a lot of money. It was my wife who basically forced me to move back to the States, which I did in 2014. I went back to avoid the winters here and I finally got married. Now I am in the process of working on my Visa for my Wife and Daughter. Moving back to the states was never in the plan and I am not happy here. If I could get my medicines I would gladly move back today. However I am playing the cards I have been dealt.

For those who think voting will solve things I disagree. We voted to not allow gay marriage, but the SC overruled it and used nonsense to do so. As for me I will always be a %100 disabled Veteran.. I will never be able to work again because I have too many damn medical problems. However in America I have been insulted for my injuries by members of both parties. In the Philippines I was treated with respect.

The thing that made me angriest and am still angry about is that I served in both Iraq and Afghanistan and now that I got injured I have those on the right say I am just sucking the teet of welfare. Meanwhile when I was there it was them that were back in the states being hawks on the wars.

I have dealt with pain daily for a long time, I have also grown used to those on the right and left to insult my service. While I agree with many things politically on the right and despise the left, I no longer consider myself a conservative. I am an independent and shall remain so. Since I am used to the insults I now welcome them because they come hard and fast on sites like American Thinker, Brietbart and others. Though there is always something comical about getting insulted by people who never bothered to serve. However if I am welcome here than I will be gracious about it, but experience tells me that will not happen..

Carve yourself out a chunk of forest out in BC or Alberta and live off the grid where nobody will bother you.
Or go to some South American country, but that requires money to get the corrupt local officials to look the other way.
‘Civilized world’ you’re out of luck. Get good at living rough.

I am ex-military and a conservative and have NEVER heard any conservative say that injured vets were “sucking the teet of welfare”. Just point the people out who are saying that and I’ll be happy to kick their ass for you. Anyone who says that shit is not a conservative, they may be Republicans but not conservatives. The Republican Party is overrun and crawling with Progressives so be careful you draw that important distinction.

Also draw the distinction between America and this current government, the two are not the same, they are in fact opposites. Do not hate America for the tyranny being imposed in it by a rogue, unconstitutional government.

I operate with a group of vets who are OIF, OEF and a few have varying degrees of disability. We will stand with you against any group who dares to denigrate you, your service or your battlefield injuries.

As for getting visas for your family, fly them to Juarez, Mexico. Have them walk north until the Border Patrol picks them up and processes them. They will be cited and given a hearing date. Then retrieve them and return home. Go to the immigration hearing 90 days later and get their credentials. Have your wife use her maden name. Then repeat your wedding ceremony in America and get permanent residence status.

These are the ROE set up by our illegal government, use it to your benefit.
