Happy New Year Dave and the rest of you’nse.

  • http://www.dunningmarketing.com Air2air

I’m sure we all want to thank Dave for his tireless work for just about a decade here. Years ago Monnbattery was one of my very few lifelines to reality, give me faith that I wasn’t the only one who felt the way I did about the country.

In 2000 I was a dotcom CEO in San Francisco. We couldn’t open the windows when the weather got warm because of the urine evaporating up from the sidewalk. The ‘W’ sticker on my car attracted two keying attacks before I got wise. We got out of the elevator once and had to step around a guy eating a dead pigeon. Then there was the time I was at a stoplight on Market St. with the family and a homeless guy whipped it out and peed slowly across the right side windows through the entire red light. Washed them pretty nicely actually.

Moonbattery and Zombietime kept me sane when I thought the world was coming to the same end as San Francisco without anybody seeming to care. I would check in several times then as I have for the last decade and never been dissappointed.

Ten years later we have the Internet and the conservative blogosphere to thank for the rebirth of conservatism in the country. Moonbattery has played a significant role – always there, always consistent and always hard-hitting.

I hate to think of Dave having to put in another decade of hard work like the last one, but I can’t think of what life would be like without it.

Happy New Year Dave! I’d like to join Air2air in thanking you for Moonbattery and the inspiration and motivation you have given to countless others like myself to get more involved in the conservative blogosphere.
Keep up the great work and have a blessed 2012.

Good new year, Dave and fellow commenters (is that a word, we’re not commentators?) … anyway, best wish to everyone here.

All the best to Dave and the rest of the patriots here. Let’s make 2012 one we can be proud of! :)

  • Hail The Amberlamps!

Have a healthy happy new year, many thanks to Dave for his efforts and dedication. Whatever this year brings, we resolve to take the fight to the insect enemy and extirpate him from positions of authority and responsibility, confining him to the guano-covered cave in which he belongs.

    To The Fight!

Happy new year everyone! 2012 is going to be one of the most important years of our lives, so let’s make it count.

  • Hail The Amberlamps!

Congress fails to screw things up and consequently lets the Corn-Ethanol Ripoff & Starvation Subsidy die a quiet death. Statist Moonbats cry in their lattes while Ecomoonbats cheer the move. Give them knives and let them fight it out.

@Air2air – very well said. I think it’s important for folks to remember there are a bunch of Conservatives in San Fran but they are simply outnumbered. If anything, those Conservatives are stronger because of they constant tormenting they go through.

To the rest of the Moonbattery family, we all have a lot of work to do this year. Prepare for the onslaught of negativity from the media this year…it’s all they have. Be strong in knowing we stand for common sense.

Obama Aides Say He Will Bypass Congress And Focus On Executive Orders During Reelection Campaign, “At Least Two Or Three Per Week””Earnest said Obama will come out with at least two or three directives per week, continuing the “We Can’t Wait” campaign the administration began this fall, and try to define Republicans in Congress as gridlocked and dysfunctional.””

Great news. Help the people appreciate how much contempt that Obama has for the congress and for the constitution. Maybe those gridlocked republicans will figure out how to conduct and impeachment hearing on behalf of this lawless administration.

Happy New Year to all, and a thanks to Dave for this great site.

The sweet love story that is older than the sea
The simple truth about the love she brings to me
    Where do I start…”

I’m sorry. I got carried away. I’m not usually sappy like that. (That was from the theme song of the movie “Love Story” of course.)

It’s just that I was thinking about how much I love Moonbattery.com and all of the contributors who leave great comments here and I’m just grateful to Dave for working so hard to make this possible. It is very supernatural!

A FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY

In Florida , an atheist created a case against Easter and Passover Holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, “Case dismissed!”

The lawyer immediately stood and objecting to the ruling saying,”Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays…”

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, “But you do. Your client, counselor, is woefully ignorant.”

The lawyer said,” Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists.”

The judge said, “The calendar says April 1st is April Fool’s Day. Psalm 14:1 states, ‘The fool says in his heart, there is no God.’ Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day.

Court is adjourned…” You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!

    Happy Effin’ New Year

EEOC: High school diploma requirement might violate Americans with Disabilities Act

Employers are facing more uncertainty in the wake of a letter from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission warning them that requiring a high school diploma from a job applicant might violate the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The development also has some wondering whether the agency’s advice will result in an educational backlash by creating less of an incentive for some high school students to graduate.

The “informal discussion letter” from the EEOC said an employer’s requirement of a high school diploma, long a standard criterion for screening potential employees, must be “job-related for the position in question and consistent with business necessity.” The letter was posted on the commission’s website on Dec. 2.

Employers could run afoul of the ADA if their requirement of a high school diploma “ ‘screens out’ an individual who is unable to graduate because of a learning disability that meets the ADA’s definition of ‘disability,’ ” the EEOC explained.

The commission’s advice, which does not carry the force of law, is raising alarms among employment-law professionals, who say it could carry far-reaching implications for businesses.
