Well… The IPCC, Stephen Goddard and Michael Mann did set the standard for bad science

The Noble Lie is a concept originated by Plato as described in The Republic. However, the concept has far greater scope and has been used by many commentators to talk about much more modern issues in politics.

  • ONLY IN MOONBAT INFESTED CALIFORNIA!

A man walks into a jail, confesses he murdered someone… AND IS TOLD TO GO AWAY!

Hugo Ernesto Castro tried to surrender at the Santa Clara County jail in San Jose on Monday, but he was told to go elsewhere even after he had confessed to stabbing his ex-girlfriend and handed over a note revealing where her body was, reports the San Jose Mercury News. A deputy at the prison told the 28-year-old that he was in the wrong place.

OK with a name like Hugo Ernesto Castro, do you think he MIGHT be Hispanic? Any chance he might be here illegally?

The sheriff’s office is trying to find out why the deputy didn’t follow standard procedure and detain Castro or at least escort him to the police station.

“Once they leave, who knows what’s going to happen next,” a retired San Francisco police captain tells the Mercury News. “Maybe they turn themselves in. Or maybe they have second thoughts, or go home and destroy evidence.”

The deputy has been reassigned, the Mercury News reports, and Castro is now being held at the jail he went to in the first place.

    MEANWHILE, IN MOONBAT INFESTED CHICAGO:

An inmate who escaped from a high-rise federal jail in Chicago has an unusual theory on who’s to blame: He says the government was negligent in enabling the breakout, so he sued for $10 million for damages.

Good thing this happened in Chicago – the 7th U.S. Court of Appeals threw his case out. Had this happened in California it is likely that the 9th U.S. Court of Appeals would likely have found in his favor.

AND SPEAKING OF JAILS, FROM THE UK, THERE’S THIS:

Guy gets in a bar fight, goes to jail, doesn’t like being in jail with other men.

    There’s a twist.

Aaron Hudson has got himself in a real jam.

He decided some years ago he wanted to be a woman and tens of thousands of tax British Pounds later he’s actually pretty good looking, for a guy.

I mean, just walking down the street, not knowing the facts, would he pass for a she? Probably.

JPs sentenced Aaron to 12 weeks inside tough Bristol Prison after he admitted assault at a bar on Boxing Day 2014 because his passport said he was still a man. And no matter how much he pretends not to be, he will always be.

Like this other case, he may eventually figure it out.

And actually I only found that second case (and the link mentions a third case) while I was looking for a case I read about some time ago & posted about a Brit who had the free medical pay to make him a woman then was upset because they were reluctant to pay even more to change him back. Didn’t find that case.

But the point is they’re mentally ill and we shouldn’t pander because the underlying problem just gets worse when we do.

Plus the link just above is more proof orientation is chosen – he clearly states he is CHOOSING to live as a gay man rather than a straight woman.

  • The inevitable failure of socialism playing out before them still isn’t enough to convince moonbats how ridiculous they are by embracing it.

Venezuela is running out of money fast and has started selling its gold.

The cash-strapped country could default by next year when lots of debt payments are due. Venezuela’s reserves, which are mostly made up of gold, have fallen sharply this year as the country needs cash to pay off debt and tries to maintain its social welfare programs.

Don’t laugh. Thanks to Obama and the Democrats this may be our future, too.

  • Promises, Promises… Moonbats never keep!

Mayor Rahm Emanuel is the latest (current) in a long line of moonbats who have run Chicago into the ground. State Republicans (and some Democrats) are searching for a solution and he’s blocking them every step of the way.

He admitted that he is now reconsidering an earlier pledge not to seek a third term.

“I’m going to prepare and run for a third term and I’m not going to be caught flat-footed,” Emanuel said. “I’ve said I really love this job and I love this city and can really make a big difference…I thought about it when I went swimming and I’ve come to this conclusion.”

  • Obama administration is dangerously out of touch with world events and reality

We are in a very dangerous cold war with both Russia and China and it could go hot with just one mistake by any party – and my money is on Obama being the one to do something stupid first.

There is no new Cold War?

    Really?

I wonder, do they ever get out?

This is what happens when you surround yourself with fawning, bootlicking, kowtowing, mealy-mouthed, servile, slavish, spineless sycophants.

Just like when they WANTED the attack in Benghazi to be about an obscure video that practically nobody ever heard of or saw, here they want so hard to believe that Obama & the Democrats are not responsible for the new Cold War that they put on their ruby slippers, close their eyes, click their heels together and… too bad that only works in the movies!

  • The latest in moonbat madness

Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up!

Just in time for Halloween, Costume Sensitivity Consultants – to make sure you don’t ‘trigger’ someone by wearing the wrong costume!

See, if THEY get angry and violent because YOU weren’t sensitive enough in choosing your costume, whatever they do (I guess up to and including mass murder?), it’s all your fault!

Colleges are hanging flyers around campus with phone numbers of officials that students can call to consult with about whether or not their Halloween costume is perfectly politically correct. “Unsure if your costume might be offensive?” asks a poster that’s been hung around campus at State University of New York at Geneseo. “Don’t be afraid to ask questions.” The poster contains the phone numbers and e-mails of five (five!) campus officials that students can contact and discuss the very important issue of whether or not what they will dress up as to get drunk in will be advancing (or inhibiting) social-justice causes. Wesleyan University has been hanging similar posters around the school — but with six (six!) numbers listed.

Halloween is a very serious issue, and can not be treated as if it were just some fun little holiday that’s a chance for people to use their imaginations and have some fun without taking each other too seriously.

Maybe next year, the schools can deploy cultural-sensitivity control officers to bust into parties and round up anyone spotted in a sombrero or afro wig. To make the world, you know, better.

I think I’ll go out dresses as Obama with a hangman’s noose around my neck. Think anyone might be bothered by that?

  • It’s the “Strippers drugged me!” defense.

The blame-it-on-the-strippers gambit does not take into account Abad’s two prior DUI arrests or the tests showing he had a .24 blood alcohol level after the fatal crash — three times the legal limit.

The charges against Abad carry up to 25 years in prison. The crash immediately killed pal Joseph Rodriguez, 28, who was in the front passenger seat.

Frank Viggiano, 28, another Linden police officer, was seated in the back seat and died a short time after the crash at Staten Island University Center.

Abad’s partner, Patrick Kudlac, 23, was seriously injured but survived.

  • Former Iran leader admits major goal of Iranian nuclear program: to produce nuclear weapons.

Ex-president Rafsanjani reportedly says he and Khamenei began program to create a nuclear deterrent

The reported comments by Hashemi Rafsanjani to the state-run IRNA news agency would appear to mark the first time a top Iranian official — current or former — has said the country sought a nuclear weapon, in contravention of repeated assurances by the regime that its enrichment program is and always has been peaceful.

Two top senators are probing use by the Internal Revenue Service of secret cellphone tracking systems that are more often utilized by federal or local law enforcement agencies.

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen admitted this week that the agency does use the technology, known as cell-site simulators, or StingRays. The admission came after a report by The Guardian that indicated the IRS has spent more than $71,000 to upgrade a version of the device and to receive training from a company that manufactures the devices.

  • Did We Really Save the Ozone Layer?

    NO!

Another year has passed and that stubborn Ozone Hole over Antarctica refuses to go away. Data from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) shows that the Ozone Hole for the fall maximum season grew 22 percent from 2014 to 2015. World consumption of Ozone Depleting Substances has been reduced to zero over the last three decades, but the Ozone Hole is as large as ever. Did humans really save the ozone layer?

NEWSFLASH: It turns out that OZONE is a potent greenhouse gas!

  • FAKE SCIENCE SUGGESTS WE’RE TURNING THE PLANET INTO ANOTHER VENUS.

Real science suggests we’re about to return to the idea, popular in the 1970s, of a coming ice age.

Winter is coming: Earth awaits ‘mini ice age’ in 15 years, solar cycle study suggests

Earth is facing the prospect of a ‘mini ice age’ this century, with our sun’s activity projected to fall 60 percent in the 2030s, British astrophysicists say, based on the results of new research that they claim allows exact predictions of solar cycles.

Our planet is just 15 years from a new ‘mini ice age’ that could cause extremely cold winters characterized by the freezing of normally ice-free rivers as well as by year-round snow fields in areas that have never witnessed such climate conditions before, a group of astrophysicists claim.

The scientists could draw such a conclusion based on a new model of the sun’s activity that reportedly enables the researchers to make “extremely accurate predictions” of changes in solar activity.

Although, the fact that the sun’s activity varies within a 10-12 year long cycles was first discovered almost two centuries ago, in 1843, all the previously existing explanatory models failed to fully explain the fluctuations with each cycle as well as between the cycles.

Until now, the astrophysicists thought that the variations of the solar activity depended on the dynamo caused by convecting fluid deep inside the sun.

The latest study conducted by a research team from Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, and led by Professor Valentina Zharkova demonstrated that the variations in the Sun’s activity are caused by two dynamo processes – one deep in the convection zone of the sun and one near its surface.

The short answer is both cycles are bottoming out and that spells ice age.

Tighten your seatbelts boys and girls (am I still allowed to say “boys” and “girls”?–Oh well, let me start over…

Tighten your seatbets! We are about to enter the season of “warmal coldening.” You know, that time of year when the earth is so frickin’ warm that we freeze our azzes off. Many of us remember from childhood, out waiting at the bus stop to go to school, all bundled up in coats, boots, scarves, hats and mittens, how hellishly hot it was! Oh, how I dreaded those hot, dreamy, steamy days of summer–I mean winter. That frozen precipitation–dare I call it “snow?” It was so hot outside that I could barely stop languishing on the couch, fanning myself, to go out and build a snowman (snow person? Lifeform of indeterminate gender or species made from frozen precipitation?)!

What is a Straw Man Argument?
The straw man argument is regarded as a logical fallacy, because at its

down the weaker version of the opposing argument.
The straw man argument deliberately misrepresents and weakens the argument of the opposing side.

“The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals.
Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares
so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live
    without breaking laws” ~~Ayn Rand

“Do you think that we want those laws to be observed? We want them broken. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power the government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.” Ayn Rand

“When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its
subjects, ‘This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are
forbidden to know,’ the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter
how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man
whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can
control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not
fission bombs, not anything—you can’t conquer a free man; the most you
    can do is kill him.”
    —Robert A. Heinlein

“If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey, he is obligated to do so.” – Thomas Jefferson

What is a Straw Man Argument?
The straw man argument is regarded as a logical fallacy, because at its
core, the person using the device misrepresents the other person’s
argument. The person does this because it then becomes easier to knock
down the weaker version of the opposing argument.
The straw man argument deliberately misrepresents and weakens the argument of the opposing side.

“Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely” Lord Acton

Federalist Papers No. 45, James Madison, the Father of the Constitution, wrote: “The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce.”

“With respect to the words general welfare, I have always regarded them as qualified by the detail of powers connected with them. To take them in a literal and unlimited sense would be a metamorphosis of the Constitution into a character which there is a host of proofs was not contemplated by its creators.” James Madison

“Of liberty I would say that, in the whole plenitude of its extent, it is unobstructed action according to our will. But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law,’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual.” – Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Isaac H. Tiffany, 1819)

“And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress
    to infringe the just liberty of the Press, or the rights of Conscience;
or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable
citizens, from keeping their own arms; …” – Samuel Adams, Philadelphia

“Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any farther obedience, and are left to the common refuge which God hath provided for all men against force and violence.” -John Locke

“You need only reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in their struggle for independence.”

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”—John F. Kennedy

“The only reason for not tarring and feathering any government official for effrontery when they tell us what to do is that their power to do so is somehow legitimate. But that legitimacy comes from the exercise of constitutional power. If the Constitution doesn’t mean anything, well, then, maybe it’s time to go long on pitchforks. Because without the Constitution the angry mob is just as legitimate as the perfumed princes of the state.”

    ……………………………….
When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion – when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing – when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors – when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you – when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice – you may know that your society is doomed.
