Families to Be “Equal Partners” to Big Government Regarding Parenting

As Shrillary likes to shriek, it takes a village to raise a child. That is to say, it takes a bloated, intrusive, authoritarian federal bureaucracy. But don’t worry, parents — for now Big Government regards you as equal partners in the raising of your children:

The federal government is seeking to create a new bureaucracy that would intervene in family life and could even see state-appointed monitors conduct routine home visits to assess a child’s well-being.

The U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has published a draft document which outlines a plan that will treat families as “equal partners” in the raising of children, opening the door for government intrusion at all levels.

The paper describes how government employees will intervene to provide, “monitoring goals for the children at home and the classroom,” and that if parents are failing to meet the standards set, “evidence-based parenting interventions” will be made to, “ensure that children’s social-emotional and behavioral needs are met.”

The document reveals how the state will help oversee, “constant monitoring and communication regarding children’s social-emotional and behavioral health.”

No doubt this will also apply to ideological health, so advise Junior not to express any skepticism regarding the global warming hoax, the iniquity of white people, the peacefulness of Islam, etc. in front of authorities or he could end up an orphan.

The assault on the family is also taking place through language:

The document also extends the understanding of the word “family,” to include, “all the people who play a role in the child’s life,” a definition that could include not only teachers but government monitors.

Be sure to update your copy of the Newspeak dictionary accordingly.

Remember comrades, children do not belong to their parents, but to the “community,” i.e., the State. Take it from MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry:

The Educational (Brainwashing) System is NOT QUICK enough. A generation or two is taking WAY too much time, there MIGHT be a small group out there that could wake up an RUIN the whole plan!

It takes a Reich to raise a child..

Progressive liberals are all political pedophiles!

I just spent a couple of days looking over my school papers that I digitized from the first grade through college. Looking through these things as an adult, I realized the stupidity and abuse kids were subjected to 35 years ago. Constantly at the mercy of state certified teachers and their “goals” as well as their own personal cruelties and sadisms. Boys even then were being excoriated for daring to be boys.

I now know what we went through then, it is terrifying what more they wish to inflict on children. When these stunted, crucified children become damaged adults with inferior coping skills and educations – let alone job skills, they will be supplanted by foreign born and educated immigrants. It is that way now.

Fostering dependence, emotional damage and broken spirits is what US education has been the assembly line for and that is set to be sped up and intensified. It is no wonder so many of these faulty products go off on rampages – they are designed to.

There is no future for the American born and mis-educated.

From a quick read of the draft:

“Develop and integrate family engagement indicators into existing data systems.”

    Translation—Audit family’s like the IRS.

“Family surveys that assess family experiences alongside data on children’s development.”

Translation—Tell us details about your private life—or else!

Data collection efforts should help States monitor progress toward their goals, and these efforts should ensure family privacy and administrative clarity and
transparency in how data will be used to improve family engagement

Translation—“Improve family engagement efforts” means “Obey your government’s ‘recommendations’ for what we think is best!”

This is why school choice was so important to the health and well being of our Constitution Republic. If you don’t have competing ideologies in schools about what is good and just, you end up with a singular philosophy of morals, values, and logic that control schools, courts and the day to day operation of government. Soon that government looks, feels and operates like a monopoly. They don’t have to be good, there is no competition. Soon, the government, and the new reality dominates everything, critical thinking dies and if evil people gain control of the government, the Republic dies.

Liberals, the “champions of women’s rights”, think of a woman as nothing more than a “baby factory”. George Orwell was bit off on his timing.

This won’t be resisted by many, after all the vast majority have been turning their children over the the secular humanist parochial schools for years. When their little princesses and princes come home from the very expensive universities (mom & pop paid for) and stand against all they hold dear they may offer weak concern but little more.

Tell me again mom and dad, why do you continue to send your kids to government schools (K through PHD)?

  • Momster

I made sure my Catholic school classroom was far from boring. Jesus is probably still pissed off at me regarding my sense of humor. Sr. Mary Dominica, however, knew I would succeed and go far life–many times she told me “Missy (she labored under the delusion that my name was Missy) one day you are going to go too far.” Sr. Mary DeAngelus observed my leadership qualities. She told me that she knew I was the ringleader. And I will state–for the LAST time—-I was NOT the person who scratched the four letter word into the woodwork under the statue of the BVM!

  • Appalled By The World

Congrats to the Progs- they now surpass anything their Nazi and Commie ancestors ever did in Germany and the USSR. This surely will come to pass if either creep with the (D) next to their name wins and if Obozo foists another Prog onto the Supreme Court.

Ah, but Sister Catherine Roche OP said that I too would go far: to prison. Somehow she overlooked the pedophile priest working out of the rectory, and the 13-year-old girl who was being paid to take rides with strange men and perform “favors”. It was a very Christian school… I understand that the last head of the church was looting church funds to pay for Italian vacations for he and his homosexual lover – but when asked for the church’s help for stranded senior citizens who were without electricity in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy told them “call the City”.

A former neighbor of mine had attended the same school in the early 1960’s and would only say in a shellshocked thousand yard stare, that he “still wasn’t over what they did” to him there.

I am happy to report that I still have not been in prison, nor will I ever be taken alive… If nuns are Christian, then Obama is a patriot.

  • Momster

I guess I was a bit luckier than you! I think my nuns actually got the worst end of it. I never heard of any of our priests being abusers….I never heard of it. However, I will have to smoke a turd in purgatory for each lie I told. I will need an oilwell fire to light them.

  • MicahStone

They’re called the LUNATIC-left for very good reasons !!!!!

The nuns absolutely hated boys. It was as if they thought penises were the work of the devil and anyone daring to own one needed to be punished for it.

I was backhanded twice in one incident after a lunch mother who had hated my mother made up a story about me having “cursed out another lunch-mother.” My actual crime was folding a piece of paper after the class was warned not make paper airplanes. When I was kicked out of the lunchroom I asked if “President Reagan had passed a law against folding paper.” Min you, all I actually did was fold looseleaf in half – never even got to any plane-like folding.. When I protested to Sister Valerie, I got two backhands across the face..

Roger Waters is echoing in my head now” Hey teacher leave them kids alone…

So tell me again how this doesn’t end in a gunfight?

The government thinks it’s going to force people to allow them to come inspect their homes any time it wants and have a say in raising their kids and you think this won’t trigger a shooting war? Trying to someone’s children away is the surest way I know to get yourself killed.

Hillary Clinton is every man’s ex-wife.

  • Momster

Oh dear, Thought….All that time in a Catholic school and you didn’t learn to “NEVER contradict a nun”!?!?!? You must have been a slow learner…Even I (finally) figured that out (in about the 3rd grade). It was 5th grade before I learned what “contradict” meant, though.

Sorry for your lousy experience…I am a survivor, though. It sure helped me in working in a quasi-militarily structured workplace. I guess your nuns were more like papal paratroopers than mine were. I do remember the rustle of 9 yards of French serge, the rattle of dolor beads (like rosaries), the wind whistling through 5 outstretched fingers … and WHACK.

Althoughhhhh–Sr. Miriam Alacoque (spelling?) had the nickname of Sr. Mary AlCapone. Just saying.

  • JeffersonSpinningInGrave

No. Hell no. No. No. No.

  • Spartan24708

It wasn’t only Catholic schools that beat the devil out of kids. I went to a fire breathing Baptist school in the early 80’s that used the “rod of correction” for any and every sin possible. It was forbidden to laugh in class and I held back laughter at a kid who had the bright idea of sticking his ruler down his throat- with predictable results. I burst out laughing and the teacher thought I was having a seizure, long story short I got paddled and the kid who puked got paddled as well.

All are punished! All are punished! When you wield a hammer, one sees so many nails sticking up just begging for a few whacks…

It was mental abuse more than physical. There was one gym teacher though, that took out his anger on an unruly class on me and shoved an 11-year-old boy into a wall. A grown man shoving an 11-year-old hard enough that my shoulder and back were injured. My father, who was according to the FBI “A well regarded hood,” had a little talk with him after school. The tough guy teacher ran to the principal and never bothered me again. I think he left the next year. Imagine if there had been a bit more than talk?

So it is to gather data to see “which family engagement practices are associated with children’s outcomes” and moreover, they are the “experts?”

(Note- it is their emphasis on “family expertise” (so self important, aren’t they?) in the excerpt below from pg 14 of the draft, so they are now the experts? Aye yi yi.)

“… Incorporating family report is a key strategy for recognizing and using family expertise to promote children’s development, learning, and wellness. Systematic input from families, across time, activities, and topics helps to create a culture of shared responsibility and partnerships for improving child outcomes. In particular, family input can lead to a better understanding of children’s cultural and linguistic backgrounds and learning styles; early identification of family concerns about a children’s progress; improved strategies for supporting children’s learning at home; success or modifications needed in cultural and linguistic responsiveness; and overall program improvements based on family requests and

Family engagement data should be analyzed alongside child data. By tracking family engagement alongside children’s development, learning, and wellness, LEAs, schools and programs can make decisions about which family engagement practices are associated with children’s outcomes.”

…and these progladites, are anti-child, to begin with!
Lemme’ say their primary platform is, ABORTION!
    First, last and always!
This is a direct conflict of interest!
    Many have no children, themselves…
They live in complexes, apartments, condos, townhouses, and home associations, that limit “children’s” access to living or being envolved with its residents…!
Usually, considered a “child free zone”!
When it comes to these people…
A child’s world becomes, regemented, strict, narrow and very small!
    ‘Cause the bottom line is…
Is all about the comfort and happiness of “progressive” minded, adults!

“Give me a child at an impressionable age and she is mine for life.”
    —Miss Jean Brody.

  • aguest

Yes, they are. Been trying to inform people about it for years. The initial “studies” to come up with “best practices” etc. were done in a couple of Head Start programs in the south. While “convincing” (bordered on coercion) women in the program that having more children inside of a four year window would be detrimental to their existing child’s well being, and providing free birth control, they created the results they want in order to ultimately force it upon every woman.

And what greater threat is there by govt than that of taking your 2 y.o. away (should you choose to keep the one your are carrying) because it is in the older child’s “best interest” that you not take the one you are carrying to term. (And the further govt reasoning wil soon be that fewer children also helps with global warming.)

Just wait. If it is a D that wins the general, women will be so regulated (they’ve been grooming this generation, so they’ll likely acquiesce) that those of us over 35 will be speechless.

  • whotothewhat

Funny how the Government believes they will have the resources to do this.

The only way the government will be able to even attempt this would be to see that WHITE families are monitored closely for anti-government, homophobia, Islamophobia, pro-gun, racist ideals. This is a attempt to break down the WHITE CHRISTIAN, PATRIOT families.

This should be resisted from the moment they show up at the door step. 1 invite government worker into home, 2nd send wife and kid away while government worker stands there watching, 3 after wife and kid are gone lock door behind them invite government worker to stand over plastic drop cloth, 4 stop the threat.

  • TED

Boiling the frog, little by little they have been heading in this direction. I would like to say this is the final blow, BUT they never stop…ONLY the smart will fight back and we are getting fewer and fewer every day.
