Obama does not let himself get distracted by ISIS crucifying Christians, China and Russia spilling into power vacuums, the national debt approaching critical mass, or a polarized American society appearing ready to come apart at the seams. He focuses on the real issues — like providing free diapers to single moms who have already blown their generous welfare check on other priorities:
Front and center on the White House website is a message urging Americans to “take action” on the nation’s great “diaper divide.”
“Nearly 1 in 3 families struggle to afford diapers for their babies,” says the message posted on March 10 by Cecilia Muñoz, director of the White House Domestic Policy Council. …
Muñoz says President Obama’s Fiscal Year 2017 budget includes $10 million in taxpayer funds “to test effective ways to get diapers to families in need and document the health improvements that result.”
The Administration of Hope & Change doesn’t try to solve everything just by throwing your money around. Remember the ingenious #BringBackOurGirls campaign that put such a definitive end to Muslim violence in Nigeria? A similar social media strategy has been employed to combat the diaper divide:
The White House is urging Americans to “spread the word” (#DiaperGap) on social media; find a diaper bank near you; or sign up to become a diaper distributor.
In utopia, the oppressed won’t even have to wipe their own behinds; Big Government will do it for them. The campaign to combat the diaper divide brings us a step closer to that goal.
Like they say about diapers and public office holders: they both need to be changed frequently, and for the same reason.
