Drudge Report Alternatives

Unless you are a fan of Donald Trump and support his hostile takeover of the Republican Party, you have probably lost any use you might have had for the Drudge Report, a.k.a. “Tiger Beat for Trump.”

Particularly egregious examples of discreditable stories hyped by Drudge in the service of the Donald include a front page devoted to ridiculing Cruz’s Christian faith. More recently, Drudge stoked misguided anger over Trump’s pratfall in Colorado by presenting a 6-month old story as if it were news, and by hyping the tale told by inept would-be Trump delegate Larry Wayne Lindsey.

Ted Cruz correctly characterizes what the Drudge Report has degenerated into as “the attack site for the Donald Trump campaign.” The charge is legitimate:

A POLITICO analysis of more than 300 Drudge banners this year reveals that Cruz has a strong argument: Matt Drudge’s conservative aggregation site has largely pushed banner pieces publicizing Trump favorably and in recent days either criticizing or deriding Cruz…

While the Drudge Report hasn’t shied away from being critical of Cruz, it has blotted away Trump’s blemishes by pointing to other stories in lieu of Trump’s blunders.

Many like myself have relied on Drudge to get a quick idea of what is in the news. But now that would be like relying on Roger Stone as your eyes and ears.

Fortunately, there are alternatives.

JD Rucker has started what he calls a pro-Cruz version of Drudge:

There was a time when I would go to the Drudge Report several times every day. … Now that it’s a full-blown Trumpgasm initiator and has been for a while, I decided to change one of my sites into a truly conservative version of it. …

When the nominating process is complete, I’ll switch it to focusing on conservatives in state and local elections, pointing out more hypocrisy from the left, and promoting the GOP nominee (as long as it’s Cruz). In the meantime, I’ll be pointing to conservative sites like RedState to help voters find the truth through the cacophony of Trump and his mainstream media flunkies.

The site is called Social News Watch.

Another recommended alternative is Bad Blue. There is no pro-Cruz slant here; you will find plenty of links to the shrill propaganda regurgitated at cartoonishly pro-Trump sites like Conservative Treehouse and Gateway Pundit. But links to the anti-Trump resistance (e.g., Right Scoop, RedState, the Resurgent) are also easy to find. Overall, Bad Blue is recommended as a nonbiased conservative alternative to Drudge.

Enough of Drudge’s slobbering Trumpomania.

It is quite obvious that Moonbattery folks are anti-Trump and for establishment puppet Teddy. The only political party in the US is the corporate party. Dems are merely its left arm and repubs are merely its right arm. Clinton and Cruz are the party establishment’s anointed ones. They really don’t care which one the voting sheople elect as they will still control either one. Trump and Sanders are not owned by the establishment, and their popularity is scaring the hell out of the corporate party establishment. It suprises and disapoints me that the folks here at Moonbattery don’t see that. Either that, or they shills for the corporate party and their continued destruction of the middle class for the enrichment of the 1%.

Well considering Donald Trump literally has zero shot at beating Hillary, then I would suggest doing everything you can to make sure he isnt the nominee

…or, if he somehow is (which is nearly impossible now, but just incase) that a 3rd Party option is run, in the form of a Libertarian-minded guy, who could possibly pull in some of the States in the West, NorthEast and around the GreatLakes so Hillary is denied the needed EC votes to win the Presidency. The vote would then go to the House and they would get to pick said Libertarian as President

My hope is specifically Justin Amash is that 3rd Party guy as I believe he could very well grab from both piles of Youth voters fighting back – those in both the Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders camps, but other such Libertarian minded guys can possibly pull it off as well.

Never, ever, ever vote for Trump tho – all it does is ensure Hillary is President (which is why the Media has given him so much airtime, hoping they can get Hillary elected by propping him up in our party)

Hes never really been on our side. Back in even 2008, there were multiple articles on the Left saying that Drudge was actually more favorable to Obama than to McCain.

Evidence indicates Drudge, similarly to places like TCTH (which is run by a bunch of Hillary supporters), is more of an Operation-Chaos site for the Left than a Right-Wing news source

“Well considering Donald Trump literally has zero shot at beating Hillary,…” The people saying that are the Media nitwits and the pollsters who will get whatever answer you want by phrasing the question a certain way.

Next, have you seen the crosstabs on those polls giving the demographics on the D/R ratio, the age ratio and forget not the poolsters have admitted they have a serious problem getting accurate data because so many now don’t have landlines.

What was the ethnic make up of the polled group? The media says Trump has terrible numbers with women; Hillary’s are worse but you never hear that.

Believe whatever you wish but don’t place any bets until post time.

Yes, yes, yes… and the people saying Trump does have a shot in hell are the people who insisted the polls were wrong and that Romney was going to win. We know

Seriously, take the tinfoil hat off and come join us in the real world, please

Trump has roughly 70% negatives with Women, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Youth, Independents and on and on. Meanwhile he has roughly 50% negatives with Republicans and White Men; the very groups which supposedly make up his base. Oh, and he has 100% name-id and 24/7 news coverage so its not like people just havent seen him or know his positions.

…yet still we are supposed to ignore all that and just put our blind faith in the people who, again, insisted the polls were wrong on Romney/Obama that are now telling us the polls are even more wrong on Trump/Clinton and that he is truly loved by everyone (despite not being able to get even 50% in a single state in the Primary, nor being able to pull in enough votes to get to 1237 delegates)

…why is 50% + 1 too difficult for Trump people to handle?

Seriously, hes by far the worst Frontrunner we’ve ever had. Everyone else the last 40 or so years has had 60% or more of the delegates at this point – they were all consolidating the different fractions, growing their vote total and raking in the delegate totals. They were easily on a path to 50%+1 and each got it

Trump, however, has been stuck at roughly 37% of the vote the entire race, never getting as high as 50%, and constantly being well under the 50%+1 path to 1237 delegates – yet that is now the system that no one else has ever had problems withs problem?

No, truth is, its a problem with Trump. If he was a better candidate, he would have no problems. His being such a crappy candidate means he is screwed. No other issue other than that.

Trump could literally solve his problem tomorrow by just getting a higher percentage of the Vote. He cant though. Thats why Trump will not be the nominee.

All political thinking for years past has been vitiated in the same way. People can foresee the future only when it coincides with their own wishes, and the most grossly obvious facts can be ignored when they are unwelcome. ~ George Orwell

This site has drooled over Cruz since I started commenting here. I’ve seen nothing that tells me Cruz will get the nomination nor will Kasich. If Trump doesn’t then it’s Ryan and the GOPe has worked against the people once more.

I voted Republican twice, once for Goldwater then for Reagan. Otherwise I vote Libertarian. As I wrote elsewhere here, you (that’s collective) vote GOP then they ignore or snub you during the session. Boehner threatened to remove sitting members from committees. The GOP hates Conservatives. Why you keep voting for them is beyond reason. Someone else said what’s the choice.

The choice is any of the other parties:Libertarian, Freedom, Constitution natural Law and on and on. Take you pick or start the Conservative Party.

    Okay, got ya.

So Donald Trump is already mathematically eliminated from 1237 – he is just not getting the nomination now. His unbelievably pitiful showing in the Delegate Selection process means on a second ballot, he will likely already fall to something like a 700 or so range. Hes toast, he lost. No real point talking about him (even Media and Dems seem to grasp that at this point; they just want to keep their foil/ratings)

Now, only 2 names can appear on the ballot under the rules (and Cruz/Trump control the rules).

So there will be 2472 Delegates having to pick between only Trump and Cruz, with Cruz having so far gotten about 80% of the floor Delegates stacked with supporters of him. You would have to have upwards of 1000 delegates refusing to vote to keep Cruz from winning on a second or third ballot. Its quite possible he has a 400 Trump to 2000 Cruz landslide because of the delegate stacking too.

Cruz is already as good as the nominee right now, and there is nothing that can really be done to change that. The only thing the Establishment could do would be to burn the party down using their nuclear option (changing the number of delegates needed from 1237) – but that would ensure almost every single Republican down ballot would lose their election, so they will never sacrifice their own selves solely to stop the will of the Grassroots from succeeding. With Cruz they at least have some input and some positives and some hope for the future (came back after Reagan, afterall), even if most of what they desire will be gone

Ted Cruz is the nominee – dont let the pitiful, desperate, rating-hungry media tell you otherwise. nothing they are telling you is based in reality.

All the delegates are being selected by Grassroots Activists at a state level (Im a County Delegate myself, and my precinct picked extreme outsiders as all of our County and State guys – we outsiders are the ones who vote on who the Convention Delegates will be.)

Cruz gets 1237 Delegates being supporters and it doesnt matter what the Establishment wants – and so far he is running upwards of 80% of the delegates going to Cleveland being hardcore supporters of him

Im telling you, none of your deep dark conspiracy is needed and no chance they can be successful (which of course there wouldnt be though – we all recognize the Establishment is largely incompetent; they cant also be some great masterminds at the same time)

As far as Ryan – yes, he protested he didnt want it. Then it was chaos in the process trying to find someone else and he said “fine, I will take it …BUT only if I dont have to do the entire job and instead get to set my own schedule” – all the people acting like he enthusiastically became speaker because thats what he always wanted are flat out revising history. It just didnt happen that way at all; and the reason he almost didnt become Speaker is because he didnt want to invest the time it was going to take from his schedule (Nominee/President takes even more time than being Speaker, it should be noted)

Look, Im sorry you dont want to accept what is actually going on – but it doesnt mean it isnt going on.

Ted Cruz is personally hand-picking the Delegates we County/State Delegates are selecting to go to Cleveland. The Estblishment has tried to get some peole in, but most have been voted down. They arent Establishment people going at this point – the Establishment has been destroyed at a state level.

You might as well be screaming about the Delegates being lizard-people planning on eating the people in attendance – thats actually about as likely to be true as your WhiteKnight conspiracy crap

Notice the comment count on the main page for Trump related articles vs. non-Trump related articles. The trolls are focused on getting their boy elected, nothing else. Not that they aren’t interested in other things, it’s more a lack of bandwidth and processing power..

Not a fantasy at all. The powers that be are finally realizing that depriving the candidate who will come into the convention with the most delegates and the most votes cast for him will be tantamount to party suicide. They are realizing that a Trump Presidency is far preferable to losing the Senate and watching Hillary take the oath of office. Time for the petulant six year old like temper tantrum to end.

As he completely ignores the fact that 68% of Americans now say they will never vote for Trump under any circumstances and 70% of women now say they will NEVER vote for Trump under any circumstances and 80% of Hispanics say they will NEVER vote for Trump under any circumstances and it’s now being shown that Trump has the highest unfavorable of any candidate EVER. The Trump fringe forgot that Conservatives are the majority in the US and Independents voted for the loser in the past 3 elections. Ahh welll, I suspect they will all disappear back into the woodwork come Cruz’s November win. The fringe also seem to have forgot that Cruz stays in power NO MATTER WHAT. I know that fact really burns their progressive chaps.
