The Phoenix area is a great place to visit this time of year. Unfortunately, among our many wonderful guests we sometimes get unwelcome ones who behave rudely:
President Barack Obama arrived at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and was greeted by Gov. Jan Brewer, among other dignitaries and local mayors. The two spoke intensely for a few minutes. At one point, she pointed her finger at him. At another, they were talking over each other.
Obama appeared to walk away from Brewer while they were still talking.
“He was a little disturbed about my book, ‘Scorpions for Breakfast,’ ” Brewer told a pool reporter who is a member of the traveling White House press corps shortly after her encounter with Obama.
In the book, Brewer points out that during a meeting with Obama in the federal Death Star, the Collectivist in Chief was “patronizing” and “lectured” her. The Obama Regime has in effect been at war with Arizona, even going so far as to side with a foreign power against it.
Despite being “taken aback” by Obama’s belligerent tone, Brewer isn’t backing down from what she wrote. Phoenix’s moonbat mayor Greg Stanton unsurprisingly chastised Brewer for getting chastised by Obama.
This isn’t the first time Barry Soetoro abused his status as a guest. On arriving in Louisiana after the BP oil spill, he berated Governor Bobby Jindal over some trivial bureaucratic letter related to food stamps. As Jindal wrote,
[S]omehow, for some reason, President Obama had personalized this. And he was upset.
There was not a word about the oil spill. He was concerned about looking bad because of the letter. “Careful,” he said to me, “this is going to get bad for everyone.”
The disastrous McCain 2008 campaign was right about one thing: character matters. Thin-skinned narcissists who think they are the center of the universe make poor leaders.
