Nine Percent Imposed Hillary/Trump

Some number crunching helps explain how we got stuck with such disgustingly awful major party candidates:

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton became their party’s nominee for president thanks to just 9 percent of Americans, according to a breakdown in The New York Times.

According to the Times, 60 million eligible Americans voted in the primaries, about 30 million in each, with about half of those 60 million voting for candidates not named Trump or Clinton.

That leaves 9 percent, according to the Times, that voted for the pair…

Someone get word to Occupy Wall Street. The 1% isn’t the problem. It’s the 9% that is destroying our country.

Thirty million voted against Hillary and the Orange Hillary, 73 million eligible Americans did not vote in the primaries, and 88 million eligible Americans do not vote at all. If we could get even a fraction of them to vote for a Third Party candidate like Darrell Castle, the pair of morally degenerate Big Government progressives would lose in a blowout.

But everyone knows that voting third party is a wasted vote, so people don’t vote at all. Consequently, we are ruled by a small minority.

The choice of the misguided 9%.

On a tip from Torcer.

  • Troy McClure

I’ve been saying for years that the primary system is broken. If guys like Al Gore, Donald Trump, Bob Dole, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Michael Dukakis are the best the system can produce, then the system is broken.

  • Occam’s Stubble

If we could get even a fraction of them to vote for a Third Party candidate like Darrell Castle, the pair of morally degenerate Big Government progressives would lose in a blowout.

How so? I guarantee you 80-90% of Bernie supporters are going to vote for the hag so really the question is what happens on our side.

However, let’s say that by some miracle, Bernie’s supporters all go and vote for Jill Stein and all the #NeverTrump crowd votes for Castle. What does that get you? Every state will still award its delegates to the winner of the popular vote. In that instance, the best case scenario is that it is thrown to the House and they will elect Trump because there is no way that gaggle of RINOs is going to vote against their own party.

Broken, rigged, stacked… doing anything and everything to allow power to stay in the hands of a few to control the many.

  • MAS

Flawed and easily manipulated? Yes, however I’ve been bugged lately that out of about 300 million people Clinton and Trump is the best we could come up with. Take the thought deeper and we can see the, as Pogo said…”We have met the enemy…and he is us”. It doesn’t take long to see the example shown by moronic moral bankruptcy displayed by the Branch Trumpians here. Pragmatism over principles (if many of them ever had any) rules the context. Seizing power and riches through political structures is as old as man’s sin nature.

I also hold that it is a good thing when large numbers of people don’t vote. In fact I’d support an IQ test,in addition to voter ID to even pull a lever.

  • MAS

And yet here you are. Breitump not working today?

  • Occam’s Stubble

It is broken and here’s what’s broken about it:

GOP Delegates California: 172. Last time the state voted GOP: 1988
GOP Delegates New York: 95. Last time the state voted GOP: 1984
GOP Delegates Illinois: 69. Last time the state voted GOP: 1988
GOP Delegates Pennsylvania: 71. Last time the state voted GOP: 1988
GOP Delegates Texas: 144. Last time the state voted GOP: 2012
GOP Delegates Alaska: 28. Last time the state voted GOP: 2012

Delegate allocation needs to be based on the performance of the state party. Here’s something I’ve been rolling around in my head:

10 Delegates if your state voted GOP in the most recent election.
1 bonus delegates for every time your state voted GOP in the last ten presidential contests.
7 delegates for each sitting GOP Senator from your state.
5 delegates if you have a sitting GOP governor.
5 delegates if you have a sitting GOP lieutenant governor.
5 delegates for each sitting GOP member in your state’s House delegation.
2 bonus delegates if the majority of your state’s House delegation is GOP.
2 delegates if your state senate is controlled by the GOP.
2 delegates if your state house is controlled by the GOP.
1 bonus delegates per chamber if that control is a supermajority.
1 delegates for every statewide office that is occupied by a Republican.

Under this plan, Texas would get 180 delegates to California’s 74.

  • We are bound by the two-party system, even though we complain endlessly about how badly we want to change it. But, as far as this “GOP Bonus Delegate” plan, whatever’s rolling around in your head has obviously torn loose.

  • Most fail to comprehend that the popular vote means exactly dick when we’re discussing presidential elections. It’s not who you vote for – it’s who counts the votes….

  • Occam’s Stubble

What does that have to do with what I’m talking about?

  • Artfuldgr

I’m working..I’m at a Fraud breach event for banking health and wall Street….
Why insult me like liberal communists do???
Thank you greatly for proving my point that it’s NY slimes unless your sensibilities are in a bind and you need a lie to false argue to help Hillary win…cause like it or not your choice is brocolli vs Lima beans and ice cream is not on the menu

To us trump choosers, you had since Reagan and lost or chose proper acting rinos…you either lost to open communist that is in office twice and now you don’t like that you don’t get aother chance after 34 years of crap
Your behavior as such amounts to wanting another chance after bush dad, clinton, bush son, Obama… Your last choices threw the past eight years to Obama

At what point do YOU realize that you HAD our attention only to give the farm away…and the people don’t care what you say, want, etc.
Your 34 years of incompetence reached zenith by not being able to beat a man with Obama history!!! Ayers people and associates tried to rob a brinks truck to start race war, they were terrorists, bammy had zero experience in business, and Val Jarret comes from a very famous communist family, and more

So stop insulting the people that trusted you and you let down over and over

Trick us once, shame on you
Trick us several tikes, shame on us
    Now we ignore your incompetence
You don get to try again after such prior performance

All you have left are insults
And after so long being let down
You and yours are out of play

  • TeutonicNight4893

31 million voted in 2016 Republican Primary.
14 million voted for Trump (The highest primary vote of any Republican candidate in U.S. History) http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P16/R

If this process is suddenly now unfair because you don’t like the results then you must concede that the primary process has been unfair all along and for every candidate ever.

Fact is, having drawn the highest level of Primary support from this Party in our Entire Nation’s History, Trump has more of a right to be the Republican Nominee than any other nominee the Party has ever had.

I understand the New York Time’s mental and statistical acrobatics is appealing to moonbats because it helps assuage the symptoms of TDS, but it doesn’t change the facts that Trump won big.

P.S. by the same logic employed by Blount and NYT, consider the following.
60 million people voted in the Primaries.
    7.8 million voted for Cruz.
That means that 52.2 MILLION Americans RejecTED Rafael.

We should be thanking that 9% referenced who saved us from someone that 87% of American Voters Rejected.

I have my own Ted Cruz version BTW..

  • 31 million voted in the GOP Primary. 17 million (55%) didn’t vote for Trump. The majority has spoken….

  • TeutonicNight4893

Perhaps you should re-read my post? You seem to have missed the point.
I have heard this line of reasoning from nevertrumpers before, but it omits many basic facts of elections/primaries.

There were more than 2 candidates.
For many, Trump was a second or third choice.
If it were Trump vs. only one other Candidate for the entire course of voting, Trump would have won a majority.

As it was, with a field of 17 candidates, Trump won a very strong plurality (45%), and in sheer numbers received more votes than any other GOP nominee in America’s history. That speaks for itself.

But lets operate off of the flawed premise that 55% explicitly voted against Trump; Who then should be the nominee? Cruz, whom 74% didn’t vote for?

  • 762×51

    What’s not to like . . . ?

  • 762×51

Twelve million were Democrats. Want to bet they were voting for Cruz?

You and your 12 million Democrat buddies better show for tRump in November, otherwise he will only get about 2 million votes.

  • 762×51

You would think he had bigger fish to fry seeing as all there is in the banking system today is fraud. Not from the bank customers though.

  • 762×51

So when you begin to look into the fraud at the Federal Reserve? Oh wait, you types all kneel to them, not investigate them. LOL, way safer to target some schmuck passing bad checks for a few grand than to go after the elite who steal billions, Мудак?

  • 762×51

    You should know, товарищ.

  • 762×51

No dumbass, the imbeciles who put the worst candidate possible against Hillary will be to blame, not the people who refused to double down on stupid, болван.

  • TeutonicNight4893

Ever heard of Blue-Dog Dems? aka, the Reagan Democrats?
They helped Reagan win because of his broad-based, America first, common sense messaging. He pulled in the blue collar workers and union workers who vote D simply because their parents did, but do not feel wed to the globalization and LGBT nonsense that the modern Left has plummeted towards.
Trump will pull a good many of these, and of independents who care not for the corruption and sellouts in either party, but Most of Trump’s support will come from the Right, because that is where the largest segment of Patriotism and support for National Sovereignty is.
And its why Trump will win in November with record numbers.

  • TED

COOL, at least that one WILL be accurate!

  • TED

    Hard to tell the difference!

  • TED

  • Callawyn

Worse, you are doing everything you possibly can to ensure Hillary gets elected.

  • 762×51

Yes, I know what a Blue Dog Democrat is and if you intend to try and sustain an argument that the Democrats who voted tRump in the primaries are like those people, I would be greatly amused.

The only thing funnier that that will be the argument where tRump will get the patriot vote. He doesn’t give a damn about any of that and anyone who has paid attention longer than the last 6 – 9 months knows it. He didn’t go from supporting both in word and financially, the amnesty Gang of Eight in 2013 to being the “National Sovereignty” candidate in fifteen months. Those are diametrically opposing points of view.

tRump is lying to you, period.

  • 762×51

Which makes my point for me. The “globalists” are called “Progressives”. Voting for the Progressive with an R next to their name is not “better” than voting for the Progressive with a D next to their name.

Example, the difference between an R controlled Congress and a D controlled Congress for the last 20 years has been what? ZERO! That is because people vote for the R or the D and in either case, with a couple exceptions like Mike Lee or Trey Gowdy and a few others, the elected person has been a Progressive, regardless of party. Nothing changes, except to get worse because imbeciles vote for an irrelevant unit of measure.

Hilary is a Progressive, tRump is a Progressive there is no difference and lying to yourself that there is a difference does not magically manufacture that difference, you cannot wish it into existence. Either a NY Progressive will win in Nov., or a NY Progressive will win. That is the damage the Trumpanzees have wrought.

They want tRump because he can beat Hillary, BFD. McConnell v. Reid = No Difference,
Pelosi v. Boehner v. Ryan = No Difference,
tRump v. Hillary = NO DIFFERENCE.

  • 762×51

You have already seen to that by electing the biggest asshole in the country. The only person in America with higher negatives than Hillary Clinton.

You want to blame someone, look in the mirror.

  • 762×51

    Pocket Constitutions and black rifles.

Gee, I wonder where this is headed . . .?

  • TeutonicNight4893

Be greatly amused then, but not at me for intending to ‘sustain an argument’, but for conveying the reality of the electorate.
    http://russellnewquist.com/2016/02/trump-has-captured-the-blue-dog-vote/

Politicians have been lying to the American electorate for decades, from both sides. Period. Playing us, with what is called a Hegelian Dialectic (please read: http://www.crossroad.to/articles2/05/dialectic.htm)
Trump has been calling out globalism, corporations, and the media, by name. He means business.
And I’m ready and willing to give a businessman a chance; and the fact the he rubs raw the very same political hacks who have deceived the American People for so long just makes it all the sweeter.

We swept Congress in a wave of Tea Party candidates in ’10 and ’12 and even ’14. Do we have a balanced budget yet? Do we have controlled borders yet? Has anyone reigned in the Fed? Have they defunded planned parenthood? Have they done anything ‘Conservative’ during their time controlling the houses of Congress?

Only insane people repeat the same inputs with the expectation of different outputs.
Time for a new input; enter Trump.

And I don’t trust him 100%, I’m certain he will back down on a few of his promises. But I trust him infinitely more than any other candidate that was running. I don’t endorse every single action he’s taken in his life, but that didn’t and won’t stop me from voting for him with enthusiasm.

  • TeutonicNight4893

Trump has said, if President, America will no longer follow the false song of globalism.
He is willing to renegotiate our contracts with global entities such as U.N. and NATO.
Whether he will or not is a matter of whether you believe him or not, which I know you don’t. But I do, at least in part.

Clinton has made no such claims. In fact she promises to do the opposite. To open our borders further, to globalize our industries further, and to merge us into global entities further.

For me its no contest, and its obvious the many, many, differences between them.
Clinton runs a global crime syndicate known as the Global Clinton Initiative and the Clinton Foundation.

Trump is just a very successful businessman with ideas that semi-blur Party dogmas.
I get that he is upsetting the apple-cart, but that doesn’t make him on par with the World’s most corrupt and evil woman.

  • Tchhht!!!
