Mary Katharine Ham Sums Up the 2016 Election

No wonder Trump is so terrified of conservative Mary Katharine Ham that he ruled her out as a potential debate moderator. She has a sharp enough mind to sum up this presidential election with a highly apt metaphor:

“They are offering the American people two ’72 Pintos in different colors and the American people are like, ‘Don’t they both blow up?’”

Politistick tips its hat:

Mary Katharine Ham is absolutely correct in her analogy. One candidate is a power-hungry, corrupt pathological liar, while the other is a narcissistic sociopath and con man with an authoritarian streak.

Pintos were of course infamous for blowing up when rammed from behind. Similarly, a collision with a viable opponent in the general election would cause either the Shrillary or the Trump campaign to explode. Fortunately for them, they both get to run against a candidate that virtually everyone despises.

We know about the choices the 2 private clubs gave us and one of those clubs wanted us to choose Jeb, who would have stood no chance of winning. At this point in time, what other options are there for us? Is there another person who could swoop in and win? Doubtful and all thanks to those same 2 private clubs who have micro-managed all our choices for candidates, failed to represent us or be accountable to us. As for moderators…. could we get some people who could be sharp questioners without any of them being in the tank for a candidate or hating the candidate’s guts? I’m tired of the personal biases.

Not one of these cucks have told us how electing Hillary will “save the GOP”. Or how her coronation will mean anything other than the final nail in america’s coffin. Or why you want to “save” a GOP that has been nothing short of traitorous. It’s just “Trumptard!!” and “Troll!!” over and over. Pathetic…

What if Ted Cruz was the Republican nominee for president?
Dreaming of a brilliant 2016 election victory that is not going to happen
The Huffington Post has yet another story about how Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, is the one #Republican winner in the midst of the meltdown that is the Donald Trump for President Campaign. He, almost alone of major GOP movers and shakers, refused to bend the knee and board the Trump Train. If Trump loses the election to Hillary Clinton or even if he wins and has a chaotic presidency, Cruz is in position to say, “I told you so.”

Cruz has three qualities that Trump lacks in abundance, intellect, conservative principles, and sanity. The last quality would have put him ten or so points ahead of Clinton. The Democrats will have been having conniptions over the shellacking they would have been about to get instead of Republicans.

To be sure Team Hillary will have been using the tried and true playbook to depict Cruz as a devil who wants to kill old people and starve children. But Cruz would not be giving the Democrats the ammunition that Trump has been giving them.

Hillary Clinton is both morally challenged and legally compromised. Cruz would be able to exploit those deficit to the full. Trump, with his own problems, not the least the ones that come out of his mouth, has not been able to gain much traction.

The Republican primary voters, by nominating Trump instead of Cruz, threw away the chance of a landslide victory and a brilliant conservative restoration. Thus, they have created a looming tragedy that will harm the United States and incalculable ways.

As well as I know, not many folks around here are real interested in “saving” the GOP. Personally, I think the RNC is a greater threat to democracy than the Butcher of Benghazi and every day she has squandered against America since she hyphenated her family name.

Now go find a friendly leg to hump, or, if you get really desperate, I can send you a photo of James “Foghorn” Clyburn talking about penis dimension!

Got it. Silly attempts to personally attack. Hump a leg. Kewl. But you are saying that Hillary is the better choice. Why is that? I get that Trump is no one’s idea of perfection, but surely you see that by not supporting him, you are in fact assisting Hillary. How will her getting elected not end this country?

  • NotKennedy

Without your sage wisdom and understanding of cuckholdry, no one else would have discerned that. Sounds like Hillary is really empowering you “boys”!

A Vote For Trump is a Vote For Hillary Clinton
It is time for the GOP to realize that it is going to lose 2016 because Donald Trump is the nominee. It is not the #NeverTrump forces that are losing the race. It is Donald Trump himself. No amount of certain talk heads trying to bully everyone into supporting Trump will get Trump across the finish line. The sad thing is that every sane person has long realized this and all the histrionics now are for show.

But continuing to be loyal to Donald Trump is really just loyalty to Hillary Clinton. Every day a Republican continues to champion Donald Trump is a day Hillary Clinton marches ever closer to the presidency.

The best way for Republicans to save themselves is to abandon ship and focus on down ballot races. Give up on Trump and redirect energy to saving the House and Senate. The longer you pour your energies into Trump, the more likely you are helping the Democrats take back the Senate and possibly the House.

This is on you as much as you may huff, puff, and declare it immoral not to support Trump.

And again, it is worth noting that the now daily histrionics have everything to do with a few people seeing their careers flash before their eyes knowing what’s coming and what they’ve done. They chose ratings over the White House and now will lose both.

  • NotKennedy

    You trust professionals?

“Since the 1970s, the consensus of the behavioral and social sciences and the health and mental health professions globally is that homosexuality is a healthy variation of human sexual orientation, although some professionals maintain that it is a disorder.[2] In 1973, the American Psychiatric Association declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder.[3] The American Psychological Association Council of Representatives followed in 1975.[4] Thereafter other major mental health organizations followed, including the World Health Organization in 1990.”

Professionals seek consensus. Like Trumptards. Disagree and you will be ostracized before being BANNED!

Who called anyone a patriot? Dude, you are carrying around an entire litany of attributions that have no substance or foundation. Cruz has integrity. So does Walker. Trump has a lot of money. At least his family earned their money. Hillary declared her life’s effort, collectively with Bill, to be financial failure. She said they left the White House broke. What a pleading! Book publishing money stashed in her tiny bosom has all shifted around until her ass is so heavy she has to lean forward and hold on to a steady object just to look up.

  • NotKennedy

Haha, you deserve eight years of Hillary!

  • Sweep_the_leg_11590

So why get her elected over Trump? And Cruz lost. That’s OVER. Adults move on…

  • NotKennedy

Why put humor aside? There is nothing else left to work with. This IS the internet, and Obama is trying to give it away. You closet socialists have no idea what’s coming when the globalists override America. Bernie is a declared enemy of state. Hillary is OWNED by foreign wealth. And you have a hissy because some white folks think Trump is goddamned fool? Sheesh. Get a sense of proportion.

Thanks for Hillary, and I sincerely hope a BLM, or muslime jihadi that she imports, ends you and yours. You are worse than Hillary. God help this failed country…

  • NotKennedy

So… you don’t really know anything about the beginning, the process or the end.

But we’re supposed to accept that you are an authority on the final nail?

How many nails did it take to crucify Jesus? Which one was the final nail? Your vacuous insistence that Trump is worthy, because he is not Hillary, has passed the final nail. No one cares that you are opposed to dissension.

Trump now has two redeeming qualities–he has stifled the RNC, for that, America owes him. Otherwise, he has made Hillary sound more consistent and articulate, despite her very evident infirmities.

    Have you seen Donald’s polling?

Trump whacked by more damaging polls
The Republican nominee’s backslide shows no sign of easing, and Trump shows no sign of changing.
The blows just keep coming for Donald Trump. The Republican presidential nominee was hit by two brutal polls on Tuesday that showed him badly lagging in the critical swing states of Virginia and Florida, underscoring the backslide that Trump’s campaign can’t seem to stop.

    Trump’s response? “I don’t wanna change.”

The beleaguered nominee acknowledged during a media blitz that he should probably adjust his tactics to shore up his diminishing standing in the polls, but he argued that doing so would betray the millions of supporters who have backed his campaign.

“Well, possibly I do, but, you know, I am who I am. It’s me,” Trump told Wisconsin news station WKBT-TV in a sit-down interview on Tuesday. “I don’t wanna change. Everybody talks about, ‘Oh, well you’re gonna pivot, you’re gonna’ — I don’t wanna pivot. I mean, you have to be you. If you start pivoting, you’re not being honest with people.”

But the battleground-state polls out Tuesday lay out a stark reality — that Hillary Clinton may be breaking away.

As far as the polls I don’t know what to make of them, other than the voters voted twice for a pos-POTUS that loves terrorists and communism.

Mitt Romney said that the Dems have a built-in 47% and I think he was right back then. I think that number is higher now with all the additional people on the dole.

  • Torcer

There are several, and in most cases if the polling stays true our votes either way won’t matter.

We’re Underestimating the Donald Trump Debacle
Failure to build campaign organization could do lasting damage to the GOP
If Donald Trump were the dictator of a banana republic trying to hold onto power against the will of his people, this is the moment when his tanks would start rolling on his cities. Or, given his particular demolition fetish, when the nukes would start falling on them.

That’s because he’s heading, with reckless abandon, toward an Electoral College wipeout. His chances of winning the old-fashioned way are so far gone that his campaign and its surrogates have laid out a three-option plan for defeating Hillary Clinton: imprison her without trial, execute her for treason (again without trial), or delegitimize our hard-earned democratic election system.

It’s easy to think that the race is close because Clinton is leading Trump by “only” 6.2 percentage points in a RealClearPolitics average of recent surveys that include Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein.
    [..]
Furthermore, in talking to Democratic and Republican strategists in recent days, it has become clear that the polls could be significantly underestimating the Clinton margins that we’ll see on Election Day. Here’s why: Clinton has poured money into both television advertising and field organizing even in states where she has an outside chance of winning while Trump has been inactive. – See more at:http://www.rollcall.com/news/opinion/underestimating-donald-trump-debacle
