  • President Barack Obama dismissed criticism that he spent too much time golfing on his Martha’s Vineyard vacation instead of visiting Louisiana after devastating historic flooding in the state.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump traveled to the site of the damage and met with some of the victims last week before the White House announced plans for the president to make his own visit.

And Hillary… Is she even planning to go?

  • Misleading headline:

Tesla Unveils the World’s Fastest Production Car: 0 to 60 in 2.5 Seconds

    http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-08-23/tesla-releases-world-s-fastest-production-car-0-to-60-in-2-5-seconds

They claim “fastest in the world” but then they qualify it with “under $200,000”.

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is the most powerful and fastest supercar on the market today. The quad-turbo 8 liter engine can reach speeds of 253 mph. But what makes it stand out the most on the list is the power to go from 0 to 60 in only 2.4 seconds, making it the fast car yet.

But it will set you back about $1.5 million.

  • Do we want an insane person to be President?

Now guess which one I’m talking about, because, frankly, you could make arguments it’s either.

    http://freebeacon.com/national-security/obama-admin-wont-tell-congress-paid-iran-1-3-billion-taxpayer-funds/

The Obama administration is withholding from Congress details about how $1.3 billion in U.S. taxpayer funds was delivered to Iran, according to conversations with lawmakers, who told the Washington Free Beacon that the administration is now stonewalling an official inquiry into the matter.

The Departments of State, Treasury, and Justice have all rebuffed a congressional probe into the circumstances surrounding the $1.3 billion payment to Iran, which is part of an additional $400 million cash payout that occurred just prior to the release of several U.S. hostages and led to accusations that the administration had paid Iran a ransom.

Many donors to Clinton Foundation met with her at State

More than half the people outside the government who met with Hillary Clinton while she was secretary of state gave money — either personally or through companies or groups — to the Clinton Foundation. It’s an extraordinary proportion indicating her possible ethics challenges if elected president.

At least 85 of 154 people from private interests who met or had phone conversations scheduled with Clinton while she led the State Department donated to her family charity or pledged commitments to its international programs, according to a review of State Department calendars released so far to The Associated Press. Combined, the 85 donors contributed as much as $156 million. At least 40 donated more than $100,000 each, and 20 gave more than $1 million.

Donors who were granted time with Clinton included an internationally known economist who asked for her help as the Bangladesh government pressured him to resign from a nonprofit bank he ran; a Wall Street executive who sought Clinton’s help with a visa problem; and Estee Lauder executives who were listed as meeting with Clinton while her department worked with the firm’s corporate charity to counter gender-based violence in South Africa.

The frequency of the overlaps shows the intermingling of access and donations, and fuels perceptions that giving the foundation money was a price of admission for face time with Clinton.

  • Obama and the terrorists.

    http://thehill.com/blogs/congress-blog/homeland-security/292336-we-cant-afford-to-give-terrorists-a-one-way-ticket-back

We can’t afford to give terrorists a one-way ticket back to the battlefield – but that is EXACTLY what Obama has been doing.

Last week the Obama Administration approved its largest-ever release of detainees from Guantanamo Bay, sending 15 extremists back into the world.

By now, the pattern has become familiar: the President lets hardened terrorists go free, Congress and the American people express outrage, and the White House ignores the uproar.

But the grave risks of this policy cannot be ignored. The President is giving terrorists a one-way ticket back to the battlefield.
In fact, officials have confirmed to Congress that some former detainees are responsible for attacking or killing Americans since being freed. Yet, incredibly, the releases persist.

Not only does the President’s rush to open Gitmo’s jail cells allow fighters to keep waging war against us, it also gives the jihadist A-team a chance to mentor a new generation of radicals.

“Outrageous” hardly describes the non-logic of this policy. What Commander-in-Chief lets the enemy return to the fight in the middle of a war?

And you can bet Hillary will continue this policy.

  • What moonbat liberals think of illegal aliens:

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-post-u.s.-needs-illegal-immigrants-for-washing-dishes-mowing-lawns/article/2599967

U.S. needs illegal immigrants for ‘washing dishes,’ ‘mowing lawns’

Displacing our kids (who, many anyway, would probably not do these jobs, BUT SOME WOULD!)

An editorial in the Washington Post on Tuesday slammed Donald Trump’s recent comments on restricting immigration and argued that people in the country illegally are needed for menial labor.

The paper said Trump’s call for a border wall and a “humane” solution to the millions of illegal immigrants in the U.S. are “politically and economically preposterous.”

“Those include the fact that at least 8 million unauthorized immigrants are employed, most have been in this country for 15 years or longer, and typically they do jobs — tending crops, washing dishes, mowing lawns — that native-born Americans do not want,” the Post said. “In basic economic terms, illegal immigrants meet the labor market’s demand for lower-wage employees, for which there is a shortage of available legal workers.”

SHORTAGE? Tell that to all the people who have given up looking for work.

Clinton State Department Stonewalled AP for Three Years

Today’s blockbuster report from the Associated Press about Hillary Clinton’s meetings with Clinton Foundation donors during her time as Secretary of State contained the following nugget: “The AP sought Clinton’s calendar and schedules three years ago, but delays led the AP to sue the State Department last year in federal court for those materials and other records.” Three years ago. The long wait was in keeping with a practice of slow-walking such requests for information.

Venezuela Confirms Plan to Purge State Workers Who Signed Recall

Venezuela will remove state employees appointed to their positions by the government who signed a petition to recall President Nicolas Maduro as the opposition seeks to remove him amid an economic crisis.
In the first confirmation by a cabinet member, Information Minister Luis Jose Marcano said the government is free to name as well as remove high-level bureaucrats it has appointed.
“Whoever has a position that is freely appointed and removable, those referred to yesterday by the PSUV on President Maduro’s instructions, evidently cannot be allowed to attack the Bolivarian revolution,” Marcano said in an interview on the Globovision network, referring to the ruling party. “A lot of these people end up sabotaging the revolution.”
Jorge Rodriguez, a national leader of the ruling PSUV and mayor of Caracas’s Libertador municipality, on Monday warned that high-ranking appointees in five ministries had 48 hours before being re-assigned to a new position after lawmaker Diosdado Cabello first made the threat earlier this month.

Oh, goody. Look what our prison officials here in Iowa thought was an urgent, pressing issue. Wouldn’t it be a delight to be a guard in one of these hellholes?

From the article: “The Iowa Department of Corrections is implementing a new gender dysphoria policy that requires prison staffers to use an inmate’s preferred first name in communications and preferred pronoun, including “he, she or ‘ze’.”

“Iowa approves gender dysphoria policy for prison system.”

An example of everyday Democrat racism: I live in the reddest county of one of the reddest states. The other day, a politician rang my doorbell. When I answered it, she had a surprised look on her face and said “Does Mrs. Morales live here?” Mrs. Morales is my niece. She lives out of state but uses my address for some things. Since I did not know who she was at that point, I said “Yes, but she’s not here right now.”

That’s when she goes into her spiel about running for the state house and was seeking Mrs. Morales’ vote. She gave me her door hanger to give to my niece, thanked me and left.

It was at that point that I started to put it together. I looked over the door hanger and while it did not have the word Democrat on it (they never do around here), it hit all the Democrat talking points.

So this lady was not going door-to-door, she was selectively seeking out people with Hispanic surnames. I guess she just assumes all minorities are liberals. I wish my niece had been there since she’s every bit as conservative as I am and likely would’ve told that lady where she could stick her door hanger.

WTF is going on at Fox News?

Scott Brown has been named in a sexual harassment lawsuit by Andrea Tantaros, one the hosts on “The Five,” now a former host. Brown flatly denies the allegations, and is supported by his wife, Gail Huff, a former mainstream news reporter in Boston.

In her Wikipedia bio, Tantaros is said to be “an American conservative political analyst and commentator.” So, are conservatives now as thin-skinned as liberals?

Is Fox News just the modern day Delta House?

The Kinder, Gentler Trump Goes on Twitter Attack a Day After Campaign Manager Says He Doesn’t Hurl Insults
So much for the kinder, gentler, more mature and presidential Donald Trump.

He’s the same manic psychopath he always was, and should never, under any circumstances, be put in a position where he treats the nuclear codes the way he treats his Twitter account – as a weapon to get back at those who don’t revere him.

    Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump
Some day, when things calm down, I’ll tell the real story of @JoeNBC and his very insecure long-time girlfriend, @morningmika. Two clowns!

Clinton, as horrid and corrupt as she is, knows the game. She is on the ground and making her play in key states, while Trump is causing distractions. If he ever had a real message to begin with (he hasn’t), nobody would know it. All that will be remembered about his campaign is inflammatory rhetoric and Twitter wars.

For the slow witted Trump supporters, they love to say he’s an “outsider” and “not a politician,” as if that’s a real reason to support him.

These are the same people, who if they had to have major surgery, would refuse to go on the table if a well-trained surgeon was to perform the operation. They would insist that the guy working the checkout at the corner grocery store be the one to cut into them, because “He’s not an insider. He’s not a surgeon.”

    What a load of rubbish.

Trump’s designation of “illegal immigrants convicted of committing crimes” is inadvertently revealing of the fallacy at the core of his whole vision. In one sense, of course, all illegal immigrants have broken the law. But Trump singles out those who have committed crimes on top of that, in order to make the system’s current failures seem particularly menacing and in need of maximal Trumpian solutions.

Oh yes, the following sounds like a much better solution:

By contrast, Obama, Clinton, and most Democrats want to prioritize the removal of only the most criminal and dangerous of the undocumented. To do this, they advocate for legalization of the vast bulk of undocumented immigrants — those with jobs and longtime ties to communities who don’t pose a threat. In their vision, this would allow limited enforcement resources to be focused only on the removal of the most criminal and dangerous undocumented immigrants.

So, how far left is the Washington Post? It is left of CBS News, Google News, Bloomberg, ABC News, USA Today, NBC News, CNN, MSNBC. Then all grouped together is Buzzfeed, PBS, BBC, Huffington Post, Washington Post, The Economist, Politico.

That you claimed something not in evidence. You made an assertion with no proof – aren’t you against that?

  • Torcer

No, post an except please – stop dodging the question.

  • KirklesWorth

I could, but I would rather point out your frequent use of anti-Trump propaganda sites that have been shown to post hysterical claims.

  • Torcer

So are you denying your previous statement?

  • Torcer

    And you deflect once again….

  • KirklesWorth

Okay, if you want me to re-post paragraphs from the article you linked to, so be it:

Trump’s designation of “illegal immigrants convicted of committing crimes” is inadvertently revealing of the fallacy at the core of his whole vision. In one sense, of course, all illegal immigrants have broken the law. But Trump singles out those who have committed crimes on top of that, in order to make the system’s current failures seem particularly menacing and in need of maximal Trumpian solutions.

In their vision, this would allow limited enforcement resources to be focused only on the removal of the most criminal and dangerous undocumented immigrants. http://wapo.st/2b5EVOd?

Here you go…ooh, article, nice. How’s that? Now why do you post three times as many Trump articles as Hillary – are you trying to make sure Trump doesn’t get elected and we therefore get Hillary?

  • KirklesWorth

What the devil are you grasping at? You are babbling.

  • FrozenPatriot

LOL, so the answer is nothing. Too funny…

  • KirklesWorth

Right…”the answer is nothing”. You are assisting Hillary to become president, I’m trying to defeat her, you question my effort, and you think it’s all “too funny”. Sorry if I don’t share your amusement or your lack of observation.
