Drunken Democrat Mayor Martin Resendiz Won’t Pay Bills
The Teddy Kennedy legacy lives on in New Mexico:
Sunland Park, N.M., Mayor Martin Resendiz says he was drunk when he signed nine contracts with a California company that is now suing the city for $1 million.
The Albuquerque Journal reports Thursday that Resendiz acknowledged during a deposition that he had been drinking for several hours with executives of the architectural design firm Synthesis and didn’t know what he was signing.
The town owes $1 million for work performed under the contracts, but according to Resendiz, his being drunk means it doesn’t have to pay. It’s a novelty to find a Democrat who deals with bills without raising taxes or debt ceilings.
Resendiz plans to run for Congress. Given the caliber of the modern Democrat Party, he ought to go far.

On a tip from Chris.

Can our children claim Comrade Chairman and Nasty Pelosi were drunk with power when they mortgaged posterity for the benefit of the looters and moochers?
Resendiz ass back to Mexico.
Voluntary intoxication is almost never considered for lack of capacity claims. However, if that is his claim, I’m pretty sure that would be considered negligence in the discharge of his official duties as Mayor, thus making grounds for his removal from office.
I was drunk when my wife and I consummated our marriage. She’s really been pissing me off lately, so does that mean I can say our contract doesn’t count?
He looks like Herman Munster
He looks like that creepy androgynous dweeb Jarod from the Subway commercials.
God hates drunkenness.

He looks like Herman Munster
He also looks like he was shot at and missed, and sh1t at and hit.
Pfhhhhttt! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
On another note:
Since a woman can claim rape if she gets drunk and has sex, can the State make the same claim?
I grew up around drunk Mexicans. I never would have voted one into office.
@ Jimbo
I live in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. I witness typical Mexican behavior on a near daily basis.
Mixing his sauarian brandy with his romulan ale
Drunk Mexicans voted him into office. I’m not surprised that he has no shame in asserting this defense. When I was living in NM, a drunk driving state legislator made an illegal left turn and caused an accident with a family in the oncoming lane. His defense to the DWI? His body made alcohol due to a yeast imbalance, therefore the alcohol content in his blood was not from drinking, and therefore he was not driving drunk. The DA’s comment was priceless: “We don’t care how the alcohol got there, it’s illegal to drive with that level of alcohol content.” This case made a lot of noise in ALbuquerque/Santa Fe.
