I’ve just looked at the above pic and I’ve noticed that the heifer in the middle is wearing a stars-and-stripes hat.
She should be immediately tarred and feathered for displaying such a symbol of capitalist oppression. Why is she not wearing her Kim-Jong Un beanie?

That brilliant “meme” (I am really hating these) image above is the best argument in favor of abortion I have seen. It’s not that we need to care about lives in a general sense. We have to care about the lives which will continue our way of life. The same argument holds in opposition of all these Islamic “refugees.” These people will do nothing but destroy this country.

We have to stop subsidizing the problem. When the “family courts” and welfare system stop going after men, women will stop doing what they are doing. They are the real problem.

    A cashless country
Nicolás imposes another cadena to say that the Colombian-Venezuelan border will remain closed for another 72 hours. He also confirmed the reduction of the period available to exchange Bs.100 banknotes in the Central Bank (from 10 to 5 days,) the arrival to the country of a shipment of 76 billion Bs.50 bills (which will soon circulate as coins); he showed the Bs. 500 bills while claiming that these and the rest of the new bills will start circulating “in the next few weeks” (not hours or days) and limited the -2% VAT incentive for electronic transactions to 60 days (because someone briefed him on how poor tax collection is right now.)

According to Nicolás, the hurried operation to remove Bs.100 bills from circulation has been successful and he said that 2016 is closing “in crescendo.” He had the nerve to rename Banesco as “Socialist and Communist National Bank,” is he threatening to nationalize them? His best phrase in the cadena, was a short description of the PSUV: “Mafias want to thrive on other people’s work, other people’s wealth, other people’s sacrifice.” Starting yesterday night, Venezuela’s a cashless country.

The Ruthless Reason Why Maduro Wants to Ban Cash in Venezuela
Not only is there an order that every person who is found in possession of large amounts of 100 bolivar notes will be stopped by the Venezuelan authorities, but there are also new measures that induce Venezuelans to eschew the use of cash and to handle all their financial transactions through electronic banking and points of sale.

From now on, all commercial premises must deduct 2% of the Value Added Tax (VAT) from all electronic banking transactions. This includes the use of cards at points of sale and online transfers. The authorities have justified the measure as an action against smuggling.
Daniel Raisbeck, a university professor, columnist and editor-in-chief of PanAm Post, said in an article published on the web site Legal Scope that “prohibiting the use of cash is restricting freedom.”
In an economy where public and banking debt grows daily, the use of cash frustrates the efforts of the ruling class to place the full weight of the state debt on the shoulders of their subjects.

  • Is the Center for Immigration Studies liberal or conservative?

820,000 criminal illegals, 84% with felonies, serious misdemeanors

Illegal immigrants with criminal records, the deportation priority of President-elect Trump, total at least 820,000, with most having felony and serious misdemeanor convictions, according to a new report.

Some estimates have suggested up to two million criminal illegals, but the numbers cited by the Center for Immigration Studies still show an enormous group larger than the populations of four states, Alaska, North Dakota, Vermont or Wyoming.

The immigration think tank cited numbers from the Urban Institute. That group downplayed the crimes and also questioned deporting any of those who are parents of children who might get left behind.

  • One of Obama’s failed goals was to force us to pay EU prices for fuel:

  • With the constant criticism of Trump over every little thing, it’s hard to really play attention. But I’ve tried – and the result seems to me to be that he’s done a good job, overall, with his cabinet picks. There may be a few minor issues here and there, but it sure seems he’s going to have the most conservative Cabinet of any president going back before many of us were born, back perhaps to the days of Nixon, or maybe even Eisenhower.

  • Obama, who regularly engages in hyper-partisanship, denounces it regularly as well. So maybe he will have something to say about this?

Maine Gas Distributor Won’t Deliver to Trump Supporters
Business owner vows to leave neighbors who voted for president-elect in the cold

An owner of a propane dealership in Maine is refusing to deliver gas to anyone who voted for President-elect Donald Trump.

Michael Turner, owner of Turner LP Gas in Skowhegan, Maine, recorded a voice mail greeting that leaves little question as to his feelings for those in his community who supported Trump.

“Thank you for calling Turner LP gas. If you voted for Donald Trump for president I will no longer be delivering your gas — please find someone else,” the message states.

Mr. Turner isn’t the first person to refuse to do business with Trump voters — in late November, Mathew Blanchfield, CEO of an Albuquerque, New Mexico-based marketing firm, issued a statement saying he would no longer work with Trump supporters.

But unlike Mr. Blanchfield who lives in a county that voted solidly for Hillary Clinton, Mr. Turner lives in a county that overwhelmingly supported Trump. Trump won Somerset County, Maine — in which Skowhegan is located — 57.73 percent to Hillary Clinton’s 35 percent.

In Skowhegan specifically, where Clinton performed better than Somerset county at large, Trump still received over 50 percent of the vote and had a ten point lead on Clinton, according to rough figures published on Skowhegan’s town website. Mr. Turner is apparently so distraught over Trump’s win he is willing alienate more than half of his community and possibly sacrifice his livelihood.

  • Unbelievable:

Officials Gave Somali Migrants Tours of Airport Security Systems

The Department of Homeland Security gave tours of at least three major airports to Somali immigrants, who walked through facilities — including secure areas not open to the press or the public, according to documents uncovered by a conservative watchdog.

Judicial Watch on Thursday released 31 pages of emails obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request related to the so-called “community engagement tour” at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in February. The tours also took place at airports in Los Angeles and Columbus, Ohio.

The information provided to the Somali immigrant groups was so sensitive that the government blacked out portions of the documents it handed over to Judicial Watch, citing a law enforcement “risk circumvention” exception to FOIA.

“Logically, information that is too sensitive to provide to Judicial Watch and the public should not have been given to a ‘community engagement tour,’” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a prepared statement. “The U.S. government has been aware for years that Minnesota is a hotbed of Somali terrorist-cell activity. The behind-the-scenes tours and security briefings of the Minneapolis airport very well could have created a threat to public safety.”

Ian Smith, investigative associate from the Immigration Reform Law Institute, expressed incredulity that the federal government would offer such tours to Somali refugees.

“It seems like the opposite group that should be getting them,” he told LifeZette. “It must be some sort of silly, PC outreach.”

In 2015, Winona LaDuke was paid compensation of $127,000, while stating that she worked an average of 20 hours a week for an organization called Honor the Earth.

Honor the Earth does not seem to be well-managed financially. The form 990 further discloses as a “miscellaneous expense” item a “fraudulent money transfer reported to Board of Directors” of $25,500.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, Honor the Earth does not disclose its donors, so we don’t know who, exactly, considers it a good investment to pay Ms. LaDuke $127,000 a year for part-time work. Be that as it may, the protest business is apparently more lucrative than most of us thought.

At the heart of liberal utopianism is the concept that through political exertion you can have a perfect society without tragic outcomes of any kind. This is one reason why liberalism rebels against human nature. In fact, I think we should routinely refer to liberals as “human nature deniers.”.

It is this ineluctable characteristic that explains why liberals are having trouble making it through the five stages of grief over Hillary’s election face plant. Acceptance? No way.

Hence the bevy of Hollywood heroes who are now imploring members of the electoral college to vote for someone other that Trump is terrific ironic comedy gold. Give them props for saying to Republican electors—we’re not even asking that you vote for Hillary! Just some other qualified Republican. So here’s a fun idea: knowing that the House of Representatives would choose Trump in the case of an electoral college deadlock, how about a bunch of Republican electors say, “Fine: How about Ted Cruz?” And then sit back and watch the Hollywoods liberals choke.

  • Who’s fact-checking the lefty libby lyin’ moonbat fact checkers? Not just SNOPES but also WIKIPEDIA and the other left wing “truth squads” who wouldn’t know the truth if it fell out of the sky and knocked them over.

Snopes, which will now have the power to declare what news is or is not legitimate on the world’s largest online platform, almost exclusively employs leftists.

Facebook announced Thursday that mythbusting website Snopes will be one of a few fact-checking organizations allowed to label stories as “fake news.”

Almost all of the writers churning out fact checks for Snopes have a liberal background, and many of them have expressed contempt for Republican voters. The Daily Caller could not identify a single Snopes fact-checker who comes from a conservative background. Snopes did not respond to a list of questions from TheDC regarding the site’s ideological leaning.

At least two of the site’s fact-checkers joined Snopes after writing for Raw Story, a far-left publication that describes itself as a “progressive news site that focuses on stories often ignored in the mainstream media.” Several others have demonstrated liberal partisanship.

  • 762×51

Exactly right. Hey, I wonder if that is why what passes for a Republican in NY is proposing a National Surveillance Program?

As a surrogate for Globalist Progressive Elect Not Hillary, he is pushing it to “make us safe” from Islam”. All the RINO weak minds are on board with it. I mean, how could a National Surveillance Program possibly go wrong?

Rep. King has no problem surveilling others or sending others to places where it isn’t safe from Islam but where he wouldn’t have the balls to go himself.

  • 762×51

    National Surveillance Program.

Republican Progressive Peter King is proposing a National Surveillance Program after meeting with Globalist Progressive Elect Not Hillary(R). The surveillance is to be aimed at Muslims, of course the U.S. government would NEVER use such a program against mainstream Americans, LMFAO!!

The most weak mind Trumpanzee toady here often criticizes me for being “a Republican Party defector”. If this is what passes for Republican Party these days, I say good riddance. It looks and talks and acts more like the Soviet Central Committee than what was the Republican Party.

I spotted that video posted on October 4 as a reply to “Save the Day”

“The viral BrabenderCox response to the famous “Save The Day – Vote”
political TV ad put out by a Hillary Clinton super PAC. The response
features common people sarcastically thanking famous actors for telling
them the election is important and then slams Hillary Clinton for
corruption, with a pro-Trump message. The famous celebrities in the
original included Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo,
Martin Sheen, Don Cheadle, Clark Gregg, James Franco and Rosie Perez,
The response is a vision of John Brabender, a political consultant,
featuring this as his latest work. One money line: It was just an
accident … an accident …I mean who among us couldn’t … hit the
delete button … 30,000 times by accident. And, the response concludes
with saying Thank you famous actors… thanks … for nothing.”

Too dumb to recognize subtlety…so be it. You think “Who was wanting Hillary to win, jagoff?” was me? Are your freaking kidding me? That has to be one of the stupidest things you’ve said – and that’s saying a lot. Your bass-ackwards ridiculousness has no bounds. You wanted Hillary to win to start your “progressive”-killing civil war, continuously attacked Trump and his supporters, and come up with something so asinine it is beyond mockery. And your own words will disprove you – although you seem to want to ignore them:

762×51: Spare you? Not a chance a__hole. To be capable of defeating Hillary, wouldn’t your cult leader need to be ahead of her? He isn’t, despite all your chimping. Face it douche bag, you picked the wrong candidate so you will lose and America will lose with you. This comment was deleted.

Furthermore, nobody has any intention of getting within your firing range of your lying, loser, unintelligent, dishonorable, wannabe “progressive”-killing, Hillary-helping, wannabe “civil war” fighting, republican party defecting, progressive-helping, republican candidate hating, latent-homosexual, sadomasochistic, integrity-lacking, wife-insulting, so-called “conservative” face.

Yep, I’ve visited there. That’s how I know you sound just like Alex Jones. And you just posted an article from The New York Times so that confirms you are a progressive, right?

Funny that you are too cowardly to have a profile.

Oh – is it because your “wife” isn’t a female?

  • 762×51

I wouldn’t dream of having them, fire you. After all, you’re there “to keep an eye on things”.

I’d love nothing better than to lay some really good insults on you, but you complained to teacher and got him to put a stop to that because I was hurting your princess feelings.

IRL, you wouldn’t last ten seconds against me. I guess I’ll just have to insult you here, unless your balls grow back, that is.

  • KirklesWorth

You can’t answer, you can’t debate, you can’t even insult. Your masochism knows no bounds. Your “insults” are laughably juvenile, but that’s why you don’t realize it.

Odd…I thought it was you who hysterically whined like a child to Dave Blount about “leaving us defenseless”, “take their abuse”, and “being harangued” with this pathetic sob story:

762×51: They will not stop on their own, they must be driven out by force. This new policy sets an RoE that lets them run wild while tying the hands of regular posters leaving us defenseless against them. I doubt many of us will remain long to just come here and take their abuse. I don’t mind fighting back, but have no interest in being harangued everyday by those I cannot effectively oppose.

Of course you “have no interest in being harangued everyday” because you want to do the haranguing unchallenged – like a coward.

Your obsession with my genitals is most disturbing.

  • 762×51

OMG, I posted an article from the NYT? That’s your PROOF??? LMMFAO!!!!!!!

Here’s one from England, I must be British!

Here’s one from Russia, I must be Russian.

Here’s one from Cairo, I must be Egyptian.

Here’s one from Romania, I must be Dracula.

Your Disqus profile says InfoWars is one of your “FREQUENTED COMMUNITIES” You lying scumbag.

Keep twisting like a worm on a hook, you liar.

  • 762×51

Actually it’s your lack of genitals that is disturbing, eunuch.

Your cowardice knows no bounds, princess.

My assessment in that post was 100 dead on.

  • 762×51

Yup, so is copper at the right velocity.

  • KirklesWorth

Thank you! You’ve just proven my point! That is of course part-and-parcel of what I’ve been saying all along. Man you are dense. Everything you spew is guilt-by-association and you’ve just demonstrated for me how that is stupid and ridiculous it is.

Now you demonstrate you don’t understand Disqus. Disqus also logs that I posted a comments to “Frontpage Magazine”, “Why I Still Talk to Jesus In Spite of Everything”, and “”. So once again, you try and ridiculously argue that posting a comment without you knowing the frequency or the contents of the comments means something. Idiot – you just contradicted yourself in the same post.

Are you blind as well as stupid? I said “Yep, I’ve visited there.” What a moron.

  • KirklesWorth
  • 762×51

You do that twerp, it really is all you can do, unless you found some “courage”, LMAO.

  • 762×51

Obviously you are too stupid to comprehend the difference between visited there and FREQUENTED, imbecile.

I don’t need the frequency if you FREQUENTED that site.

You are a liar, face it, a dirty Progressive liar, period.

  • KirklesWorth
  • KirklesWorth

That’s why I was trying to educate you on something you are obviously ignorant about. Disqus tracks comments that were posted in Disqus regardless of count – not site visitations. I visited “Why I Still Talk to Jesus In Spite of Everything” once – get the picture? Of course you don’t.

So you keep trying to explain how you trying to get Hillary elected makes other people “progressive”.

  • 762×51

You love showing off your archive, admit it.

Doesn’t change the fact that you are a liar and a coward, one bit, princess jerklesTw*t.

  • KirklesWorth

What I “love” is illustrating your irrationality and foolishness with your own words, which is why this one is golden:

762×51: Not only is tRump a surefire loser but he will also cause the loss of the Senate and possibly even the House. The Trumpanzee Progressives have done what they set out to do, elect Hillary Clinton.

So any time you want me to post your blasts-from-the-pasts, just do what you can’t restrain yourself from doing and put in a progressive-style insult for me to respond to. Otherwise if you just commented on the topic without editorializing, I’d know you were being serious instead of wanting a reminder of the good old days.

  • 762×51

I did comment on the topic Tccssshhhiiitttt!! for breath. YOU FAILED to comment on the topic, after all these posts all you can do is impotently post my retorts to you from the past, like I care what you or any one else thinks. I have even reminded you a few posts up that you FAILED to address the topic.

The topic, jackass, was the Keynesian globalists that your cult leader is stacking into his cabinet. You know, the kind Hillary would choose. It seems that Hillary and Not Hillary are as similar as I said they were. I bet you can’t wait to repost those jewels, LMFAO!

Ohh, one other thing, I WON’T be limiting myself to “not editorializing” on my comments, SS-Rottenführer jerklesTwerp. You elitist scumbag.

  • 762×51

Do they count all as FREQUENTED? Lying sack of Tcsshhiiitt!!

  • Well I hear you might be able to get a job there – if you can get through a “special” interview with Bill Clinton.

  • Careful… the “GW” part of global warming is real – the Earth does warm. It also cools. The part that’s not real is the “A” in “AGW”.

I’d like the local electric company to stop supplying to any who support the idea that humans are a primary driver of climate change.

    Fixed it for you.

  • There are other things that influence that metric.

  • Nixon gave us the EPA

Well Nixon set things in motion, but technically it was CONGRESS that actually gave us the EPA once they passed laws to bring into proper legal existence and force the agency Nixon started with “his pen and phone”.

But Trump has made it pretty clear the EPA is one of his big, early targets.

Now I am waiting to see if he follows through.

OSHA… again wasn’t it an act of Congress that actually established OSHA?

And how did Nixon set the stage for busing?

Nixon called on Congress to pass a moratorium on new busing orders and pass new legislation that would “establish reasonable national standards” rather than the “unequal treatment of among regions, states and local school districts” ordered by the courts…

White House advisor John Erlichman later described the televised speech as a political victory: “Whether Congress passed the busing moratorium was not as important as that the American people understood that Richard Nixon opposed busing as much as they did.” Nixon’s televised speech prompted the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund to publish “It’s Not the Distance, ‘It’s the Niggers,’” a report which fact checked Nixon’s claims about busing. The speech also intensified tensions between the White House and the civil rights lawyers in the Justice Department who worked on school desegregation cases, seven of whom resigned in protest…

Nixon’s administration only announced two days earlier that the speech would be a televised address and did not release the customary advanced copy of the speech to the media. All of the networks carried the address, but with limited time for commentators to analyze the text of the speech, Nixon was able to present his views on busing with almost no critical commentary. Senator and Democratic Presidential candidate Hubert Humphrey called the speech a “TV commercial” for antibusing views.

Sounds like it was already going on, ordered by the courts, not him, and he merely told CONGRESS to get busy fixing what was so broken.

  • Tillerson, 64, has no formal foreign policy experience, but has built close relationships with many world leaders by closing massive deals across Eurasia and the Middle East on behalf of the world’s largest energy company.
“His tenacity, broad experience and deep understanding of geopolitics make him an excellent choice for Secretary of State,” Trump said in the statement.

Trump has called Tillerson a “world-class player” and the transition team is likely to stress that his mastery of complex negotiations and knowledge of geopolitical factors shaping the oil industry are directly relevant to heading US diplomacy and managing the State Department.
Tillerson was recommended to Trump by former secretaries of state Condoleezza Rice and James Baker and former Secretary of Defense Bob Gates, sources told CNN.
Trump and Tillerson possess similar dealmaking business backgrounds and similar views of the world, sources said, and there was a level of comfort that Trump hadn’t found with anyone else.

  • While I have not done any research on it, my impression is that, at least as far as natural gas and oil go, Europe has become quite dependent on sources controlled by Russia.

    Big mistake.

So you are following your buddy TrojanMan’s meme of staying on topic, eh? You changed the topic when you opined “Both are liars executing one agenda and imbeciles like princess jerklesTwerp swallow it hook, line and sinker.”, so spare me your lectures on topic-following. I naturally replied that the swallower here is you so you could get Hillary to start your “progressive”-killing civil war, which was a direct response to the topic you made. And I can demonstrate how you swallowed the progressive meme “hook, line and sinker”:

762×51:That is hilarious coming from a media creation surrogate. Who do ypu think made tRump the GOPee nominee? The same “corrupt media” that made Romney, McCain, etc., the nominee. Them and 12 million Democrats who voted for tRump in the Republican Primaries. Want to bet they wont show up for tRump in Nov? The media is playing you like a fiddle in a Jr High band.

762×51: Not only is tRump a surefire loser but he will also cause the loss of the Senate and possibly even the House. The Trumpanzee Progressives have done what they set out to do, elect Hillary Clinton.

Ironic that you try to play “SS-Rottenführer” by crying “off topic!” “off topic!”. Maybe I should be more “on topic” like these:

762×51: I’m sorry, all I heard was blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. More meaningless drivel from a professional liar. That wasn’t even a credible effort to dodge my FACTS. Laughing at you gets easier and easier, every day, jerkles.

762×51: Blah, blah blah. Prove I threaten to kill you, you lying piece of dog s__t. There can be no discourse with totalitarian vermin like you, battle is all that is left. Now either back up your bulls__t, show me you can MAKE ME COMPLY, or GO F__K YOURSELF!

That was the epitome of topic-following, wasn’t it?

It is hard to think of something that Europe doesn’t rely upon others for.

Well….they are pretty self-sufficient in smugness.

All true. It is also true that Tillerson seems to be ideologically, on the Left side of the political spectrum. So that’s another thing that he and Trump have in common.

  • Mr. Freemarket

Governments hate currency backed by precious metals because it restricts their ability to inflate the number of notes they can print. And that’s just not fair.

And Carter handed over the Panama Canal, Obama handed over the Internet and let Iran have nukes…

  • Mr. Freemarket

Saying that Nixon didn’t give us the EPA is like saying that Obama didn’t give us ObamaCare.
The constitution did not give the federal government responsibility over the environment, nor did it delegate responsibility to the federal government to regulate workplace safety. Nixon and congress worked together to expand the reach of the federal government into those areas….just as you would expect from any progressive with no regard for the constitution.

Brown vs Board of Education was decided in 1954. Note that Nixon got it done over 15 years later.

  • Mr. Freemarket

Fair enough. I’m rather glad to live in a time when ice sheets do not cover most of North America.

  • I’m rather glad to live in a time when ice sheets do not cover most of North America.

Clearly we are of the same mind on this issue – and the climate alarmists don’t seem to understand that the world would be a better place with even less persistent snow and ice than we have today.

  • Nixon did not have the power to actually create and fund the EPA. That took acts of Congress. However, I understand your points – Nixon was instrumental in the process of creating the EPA. So basically we’re quibbling over nothing substantial.

The constitution did not give the federal government responsibility over the environment, nor did it delegate responsibility to the federal government to regulate workplace safety.

Again we’re in 100% AGREEMENT on these points, as well as your subsequent statements (as mentioned above) that Nixon played a key and in fact decisive role in creating the EPA. In fact he went so far as to abuse his executive power in the process as I mentioned above.

As for the issue of busing, the courts and others were pushing for this. Did you read the link I provided?

You mentioned the Brown case. You left out Green v. County School Board of New Kent County (1968) and Swann v. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education (1971).

Also opponents of the 1964 Civil Rights Act stated it required forced busing to achieve certain racial quotas in schools. Despite claims to the contrary and amendments specifically prohibiting such an interpretation, by 1966 the Department of Health, Education and Welfare said that Southern school districts would be required to meet mathematical ratios of students by busing. This was 3 years before Nixon took office.

The 1966 “Equality of Educational Opportunity” report, AKA the “Coleman Report” after its author James Coleman, was an early example of liberal “science” that basically was an interpretation of the evidence done to support a foregone conclusion. This, too, played a role 3 years before Nixon took office. It argued that busing (as opposed to simply increasing funding to segregated schools) was necessary for achieving racial equality.

A federal court found that in Boston, schools were constructed and school district lines drawn intentionally to segregate the schools racially. In the early 1970s, a series of court decisions found that the racially imbalanced schools trampled the rights of minority students. As a remedy, courts ordered the racial integration of school districts within individual cities, sometimes requiring the racial composition of each individual school in the district to reflect the composition of the district as a whole. This was generally achieved by transporting children by school bus to a school in a different area of the district.

“Forced busing” was a term used by many to describe the mandates that generally came from the courts. Court-ordered busing to achieve school desegregation was used mainly in large, ethnically segregated school systems, including Boston, Massachusetts; Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; Kansas City, Missouri; Pasadena and San Francisco, California; Richmond, Virginia; Detroit, Michigan; and Wilmington, Delaware.

This was the climate in which Nixon gave the speech I referenced with the above link. It was clear he was AGAINST busing but reluctantly realized that the courts were overwhelmingly ordering it. Should he have fought it? He didn’t – apparently he chose his battles and this was not one of them.

Your own link admits that “Vice President Spiro Agnew was chosen to chair a special Cabinet Committee on Education, the purpose of which was to find the best course of action to peacefully desegregate Southern schools in accordance with a 1969 court order.”

Nixon did get behind this because the courts compelled it. And it was already a fact – but as Nixon noted, it was a patchwork effort.

I’m not defending him, I just think there is some misrepresentation of the circumstances that existed (busing was already happening before he even entered office) and his role (which was to mainly standardize things, not to start the process) in the whole affair.

Nixon’s role was to accept that it was going to happen and to help ensure it happened with as little violence as possible.

During the 1960s, many liberals self-righteously screamed about racism, demanding that the federal government coerce Southerners into racial integration. The result of their heavy-handed tactics was more racial antagonism.

The president tried a different approach – cooperation. Thanks to Nixon’s strong leadership, Shultz’s masterful negotiating skills and Mitchell’s ability to keep overzealous Justice Department officials in check, the state advisory committees were an overwhelming success.

  • Well according to the Federal Register, Obama didn’t give us obamacare – rather certain acts of Congress did – The hilariously named “Affordable Care Act” and it’s followup gave us obamacare. But again I see your point. Like Nixon with busing, Obama was directly involved in planning and implementing the fiasco that rightfully bears his name and he did sign it into law. So again, we aren’t really arguing about anything substantial here other than it’s important not to diminish the role a Democrat dominated Congress played in creating and foisting obamacare on us. Also note that the U.S. Supreme Court had a chance to take this burden from us and I’m of the opinion that they carefully crafted a decision that was in part responsible for the growing Republican/Conservative majorities we now see at state and also federal levels. The Court let us know that if we elect a Congress that does stupid things we’re going to have to change that Congress to one that will fix them, not expect the Court to clean up the messes we create by electing liberal moonbat Democrats – even though by “we” I mean the voting public in general, not you and me and those like us. I’m actually OK with that – the Court did the right thing, even though I would have preferred something else at the time. It’s better that we got to watch obamacare devour itself as an object lesson, an example of that “free education” that Bernie Sanders was always going on about, though in this case it wasn’t actually free, in some respects. We also narrowly dodged a bullet with the death of Scalia that would have created a Court that would have PARTICIPATED in making messes. Let’s hope Trump puts the right person (or persons – hopefully he will have 8 years and at least 2 if not 3 picks) on the Court to replace Scalia and any liberals who retire during his tenure.

  • Mr. Freemarket

Most of your post I completely agree with. Personally I don’t agree with the Supreme Court’s decision regarding ObamaCare. They literally re-wrote the law so that what as promised not to be a tax became a tax.

And….if you elect leftists to office, you have to expect leftists to make their way through the court system, destroying rights in the process.

There are high expectations for Trump. I hope that the “deal-maker” doesn’t give in and, for example, appoint a liberal or two to the court, just to make a deal. I wouldn’t put it past him.

  • It’s not a matter of AGREEING with the decision but rather of UNDERSTANDING why that decision was necessary given the circumstances. I don’t like it any more than anyone else with an IQ above room temperature… but then again, since room temperature is whatever temperature the room happens to be, does that even make any sense? What if the room is on fire and the temperature is 200 plus?

  • Putting aside the lies told by the lunatic liberal media, have you ever caught Trump in a lie? Not a policy shift, an outright, bald-faced lie?

He presented a list of people he said he might consider. From everything I saw and heard they were darn good to excellent choices.

    We shall see.

  • Mr. Freemarket

    Progressives, all.

  • Mr. Freemarket

I don’t believe the decision was necessary, nor correct. When FDR started getting parts of the New Deal passed by congress, the Supreme Court was more than happy to declare many of the laws enacted unconstitutional. It is not up to the court to solve the problem created by the legislature passing unconstitutional laws.

  • Mr. Freemarket

He doesn’t lie, he simply changes his position.
Promises made to those going to Trump University, however, border on bald-faced lies….where students were going to learn to become successful just like DJT.

  • Yeah I’m known to say “stop trying to heat/cool the world” under similar circumstances.
