Actual #1 Cause of Global Warming Revealed to Be PBEM

What is the #1 cause of global warming?

1. Insufficient regulation.
2. Insufficient taxation.
3. Income inequality.
4. Natural climate fluctuation.
5. The sun.
6. Phony government data.

If you guessed #6, congratulations, you are correct — as The Deplorable Climate Science Blog confirms.

The global warming priesthood at Climate Central and elsewhere bark that temperatures have risen 1.5°F since the 19th century, which isn’t much, when you consider that climate fluctuation is natural. But for the past century the climate has been even more stable than they claim.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data supports the 1.5°F claim, but this data has been “adjusted.” The graph below shows the effect of the adjustment by subtracting the actual temperature measured by the United States Historical Climatology Network from the adjusted temperature:

temperature-adjustments

What a coincidence: the line goes up by 1.5°F.

Deplorable Climate Science notes another remarkable coincidence:

The adjustments correlate almost perfectly with atmospheric CO2.

Comparing temperature adjustments to atmospheric CO2 reveals the correlation:

Maybe it’s not such a coincidence after all:

NOAA is adjusting the data to match global warming theory. This is known as PBEM (Policy Based Evidence Making.)

Often NOAA adjusts temperature data to fit leftist theory the easy way — by inventing it from scratch. For example,

In 2016, more than 42% of their monthly station data was missing, so they simply made it up. This is easy to identify because they mark fabricated temperatures with an “E” in their database.

Global warming would be nice, because in combination with higher CO2 emissions it would lead to more plant growth and consequently more food. However,

It is increasingly looking like the first full week of 2017 will be greeted with a cold air outbreak over the Lower 48 states that will be widespread and persistent.

Early next week the cold air will enter the U.S. through Montana and the Dakotas, where temperatures will likely plunge into the minus 30 deg F (or colder) range.

By the end of the week, single digits could extend into the southeast U.S., and a hard freeze could push into central Florida…

New England is expecting up to 2 feet of snow. No doubt temperatures will later be readjusted to reflect the heat wave we must be experiencing according to CO2 levels.

Look at the bright side: at least there are far fewer tornado deaths, despite warmist hysteria.

Well well well. What have we here?

  • Mr. Freemarket

With the widespread implementation of computers to keep track of all the climate data, it became far easier to adjust data. Before computers, they would have needed a really big eraser.

Maybe it’s just me being a Grammar Nazi again, but look at the second Adjustment graph.

While correct in the title, “Atmospheric” is transposed to “Atmsopheric” on the abscissa.

Forget that (F) on the y-axis does not have a degree sign; that’s bad enough.

I have only seen this kind of misspelling slop in pseudoscience. This is never done – ever – when a scientist has good data that they have worked hard to get and are excited about publishing.

And typically, non-English-speaking scientists are even more careful – if they’re good.

When that kind of grade-school, bad English mistake gets by on a data figure, you know for a certainty it’s not appropriately peer-reviewed, it’s composed by a hack, and therefore crap.

AGW believers are deaf and blind to any contrary information.

For years now I’ve tried to point out two salient facts – 1) if you subtract the raw temperatures from the published temps you get your first graph which points out the fudging of data; 2) graph the number of temperatures that are “estimated”, a rising line currently at around 40%, that is, 40% of the temperatures reported are pure fiction.

Oh and another point – the instrumental temperatures are almost all in cities and other heat generating places (UHIE), while the estimated temps are almost all from the boonies which are known to be up to five degrees cooler. So we average to adjacent hot spots to come up with a value for the actually cooler spot. More BS.

Anthropogenic warming lives and dies on CO2. Without pollution-derived CO2 causing the earth to warm up, you are ignominiously relegated to the sun as your source of heat.

However, a greenhouse effect requires much larger concentrations of CO2 than we have in our atm (0.031%) which is not enough to make any difference in global temperatures.

The atmosphere of Venus is eg, 97.5% CO2. But even then, for that kind of runaway greenhouse effect, you not only need very high CO2 concentrations, but you also need a lot more pressure.

Venus has a surface pressure equivalent to the pressure at 3,000ft underwater on earth.

So we cannot match the CO2 & pressure parameters to get anywhere near a runaway greenhouse effect. You will notice a quiescence in weather patterns the last few years.

That is the reason most climate pseudoscientists have given up on “Carbon Forcing” as a mechanism for GW and reverted to the weasel “Climate Change” — which has no meaning or mechanism that can be easily attached to anthropogenic factors.

Incidentally, CO2 has the same heat coefficient (ability to transfer heat) as water (0.15 vs 0.16). So the same amount of heat would be reflected off H2O vapor clouds as would be reflected off CO2 gas clouds. Since the heat is then reflected back into space, you would need a significantly higher concentration of CO2 in the atm to begin even thinking about GW.

You are correct about the Urban Heat Index. If the temperature recording sites weren’t distributed fraudulently in hot areas, the climate pseudoscientists would have a very difficult time reconciling global cooling and temp stability patterns.

Not to mention explaining the recent and enormous growth of the Antarctic ice shelves. All this at a time when global pollution levels and CO2 emissions are at an all-time high due to eastern bloc countries and the industrialization of China and India.

But whatever… let’s take money from Americans to pay for GW. They’re stupid and docile.

It also shows how quality standards in education have been dropped down to levels that allow such shoddy, sloppy work in presentation of data results. But we can’t ‘be judgmental’ about this can we? Such ‘unreasonable’ adherence to high standards would mean that ‘not everyone would be able to participate’ and might even (gasp) have their pwecious feeewings hurt.
