On the same day that Meryl Streep threw Hollyweird’s elitist contempt for the rest of the country into overdrive during her Golden Globes speech, an obscure writer named Patrick Nathan issued the following tweet in defense of Tinseltown:
Hollywood isn't a bubble. It's a nexus of people from all over the world coming together to make art. White rural America is a bubble.

That is, the outside of the bubble is the bubble, because it is full of icky Americans and white people. The entertainment industry — which explicitly exists to create fantasies to help the people outside of it kill their spare time — is the real world. The folks who create the actual wealth that finances frivolities like movies are just fantasy creatures, living in a land of delusion.
Moonbats may control all the major institutions, but that hasn’t stopped them from marginalizing themselves toward irrelevance.
