The government (NIH) actually recommends four options for gender:

    Female
    Male
    Unknown
    Unspecified

Such intolerance and bigory! What about those diverse individuals who identify as a baked potato?

  • KHarn

When I see stuff like that, I’m tempted to write “Martian”.

To be fair, there are “hermaphrodites”, but that’s so rare that it’s unlikely that it would ever come up.

    “Marmo says:February 15, 2012 at 11:28 am”

Add “Up Yours, Jerk” to that list and I’ll sign up.

Well, there really are a few people that are transgendered. They are the people with the triple chromosomes as shown in the table below:

    Sex Chromosome Abnormalities
    Female Syndrom Male Syndrome
    XX normal XY normal
    XO Turner XXY Klinefelter
    XXX Triple-X XYY XYY

But as you can see from the above chart, the XXY would be the chromosome that could cause gender confusion because XX is normally female, and XY is normally male. So when you have XXY you could really be confused.

People are also born with additional or missing limbs, fingers, toes, etc. We don’t classify them differently. We don’t pander to them. We make them as normal as we can and we move on.

    WTF?

  • KHarn

    Hey! What about “EUNUCH”?

If married couples can have joint checking accounts, why not joint email accounts? And why would Google need this information anyway? Some men research ironing boards and some women research chainsaws. I’m a guy and researched candle-making.

THAT SAID … maybe it should be Male / Female / Democrat or Male / Female / NoneOfYourBeeswax.

  • NorthernX

Wow. America has really drifted beyond hope, and objectively, you really do have one of the weirdest, most immoral cultures in the world. I’m starting to seriously think that Sharia Law would be a good thing for you…maybe start with California.

Move along folks, nothing new to see here.

This 3 choice gender identification was available at the Mass. Registry of Motor Vehicles about 20 years ago. I almost wet my pants when I went to renew my license.
