Cost of Four Years of Obama: $5,170,000,000,000.00

The election of Barack Hussein Obama was worth a lot to liberals. To turn wicked America over for punishment to a radical-left black guy with a communist and Muslim background and terrorist associates, a conspicuously unqualified individual who obviously would not be a fitting or even benevolent steward, was the ultimate act of liberal abasement, allowing the politically correct to wallow like overfed sows in the voluptuous filth of their neurotic race guilt, treasonous impulses, and hatred of everything decent and sane. Unfortunately moonbat nirvana isn’t obtained cheaply — and even countermoonbats will have to pay the price. Here is what the first term bill comes to in terms of money:

According to the White House’s own figures (see table S-1 here for 2011 to 2013, and table S-1 here for 2010), the actual or projected deficit tallies for the four years in which Obama has submitted budgets are as follows: $1.293 trillion in 2010, $1.300 trillion in 2011, $1.327 trillion in 2012, and $901 billion in 2013. In addition, Obama is responsible for the estimated $200 billion (the Congressional Budget Office’s figure) that his economic “stimulus” added to the deficit in 2009. Moreover, he shouldn’t get credit for the $149 billion in TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) repayments made in 2010 and 2011 to cover most of the $154 billion in bank loans that remained unpaid at the end of the 2009 fiscal year — loans that count against President Bush’s 2009 deficit tally.

Adding all of this up, deficit spending during Obama’s four years in the White House (based on his own figures) will be an estimated $5.170 trillion — or $5,170,000,000,000.00.

To help put that colossal sum of money into perspective, if you take our deficit spending under Obama and divide it evenly among the roughly 300 million American citizens, that works out to just over $17,000 per person — or about $70,000 for a family of four.

To libs it was worth it. That’s why they’ll do whatever it takes to reelect him. We won’t achieve utopia until America has been bled dry and dies.

Clinton looks pretty good in this graph – so it’s useful to remind ourselves that spending originates in the House. Clinton only looks good because Republicans were controlling the spending.

but the 1% aren’t paying their fair share!!!!
    it;’s not Obama’s fault, the 1%, the 1% !!!!!!!!

  • AC

Clinton only appears good because they hid the deficit off the balance sheet, all the while Greenspan was busy inflating the tech bubble.

    Wow Dave.
I had to come up for air a couple of times there.

  • KHarn

Just to enlighten the youger folks, it was just forty years ago that the word “trillion” was used ONLY by astronomers.

    Hence the term “astronomical figure”.

But how do you really feel, Dave? No, seriously, that’s a great description what the liberals did and why. You should be writing campaign commercials, Dave!

Obama not a natural born citizen? I wish it were that simple. It appears the country has elected a foreign agent.

  • lao

Let’s see. The $200 billion paid out in the first months of Obama’s presidency goes into his minus column but the $149 billion repaid in 2010 and 2011 goes into Bush’s plus column.

    Beautiful.

  • Dupree

I’ll just give you the benefit of the doubt here Lao. We’ll give you the 200 and 149 Billion back. Where are we now? Hey, only $4,821,000,000,000.00 more to explain away for your masters. Better get crackin’!

    Lao-Z,

BO shouldn’t get credit for Bush-TARP loans that were paid back during his term bc BO didn’t make the loans. That means he had nothing to do with the terms of repayment.

Moreover, the banks repayment reflects the need to get out of business with BO.

But in any event, the nearly $5 Trillion that the Kenyan then piles on going up to -2013 clearly demonstrates that repayment of TARP is meaningless to him other than as a revenue source.

It does bring up the point however, that since Bush’s bank loan debt was nearly paid up in 2009, what else was so enormously important and dangerous in 2009 to necessitate stealing $5T from taxpayers going into 2013?

Don’t you guys parrot BO’s talking point that the recession was much worse than anyone ever knew bc of Bush’s mishandling of the economy? Are you seriously going to try and convince yourself that $5T of tax-theft was needed for what…on behalf of Fan&Fred, GM et al.,(!) in order for BO to save the economy in the form of jobs created or saved?

Only a complete imbecile would take that position.
    .
Bush was a pandering socialist, but in no way did the kind of damage that your Kenyan has done and is doing to the economy.

You might not notice it now, but if you ever have to pay taxes – and that admittedly would be unlikely – you might start to wise up.
    (no…delete that last comment.)

Maybe he spent 5 trillion, but it is worse if you add an exponentially lower sum to the wrong column.

  • Sam Adams

    Lao has left the building.

I’d lay odds that Lao believes in Keynesian economic theory. You know…the theory that it doesn’t matter how the government spends money, so long as it spends it…that digging a hole and filling it up is just as good for the economy as actually spending money on a wise investment.
