Berkeley Police Stood Back to Allow Antifa Violence

As noted earlier, the “antifascist” brownshirts who beat up Trump supporters at the Patriots Day event Saturday will be the police if America keeps following Venezuela down the road to socialism. But what about the current police? In a place like Berkeley, they know when to mind their own business:

There were numerous reports from those on the scene that Berkeley police largely stayed back as Antifa agitators took pot shots at Donald Trump supporters on Saturday.

“As the violence escalated police in Berkeley stood down and retreated from the crowds,” reporter Tim Pool tweeted.

“I have never seen so few police at an event like this.”

Obviously it was known well in advance that a Patriots Day rally in Berkeley would be met with violence from Black Bloc moonbats. The sparse police protection was as deliberate as the orders to stand back when the inevitable happened.

One observer claimed police “ran away,” despite several Trump rally attendees being attacked.

Mother Jones reporter Shane Bauer saw two officers at a patrol car, not engaged in protecting citizens from violence.

Cops take their orders from the Chief of Police, who in turn takes orders from the Mayor. Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin has essentially endorsed using violence to silence speech that doesn’t comply with leftist ideology. This was his response when a violent left-wing mob took to the streets to prevent Milo Yiannopoulos from speaking at U.C. Berkeley:

“Hate speech” means any speech leftists hate. Those who allegedly “silence marginalized [i.e., politically favored] communities” by saying things liberals don’t agree with must be marginalized and silenced by whatever means necessary. That is the prevailing attitude where progressives have achieved hegemony.

Here’s an aerial view of the guy we saw earlier being set upon by a large mob of moonbats for supporting the President on Saturday:

A mob of fascists beating someone they want to silence is a “scuffle.” Even when the story is right there on the screen, MSNBC is incapable of reporting honestly.
