Polar Bears Lay Siege to Russian Village

According to liberal propaganda, polar bears are being driven to extinction by the warm weather caused by our stubborn refusal to submit to high energy taxes and a more centrally controlled economy. In reality, their population is on the rise — which may pose a problem:

Aggressive polar bears are holding locals in a Russian village hostage after being drawn to a nearby walrus rookery, leaving residents unable to venture outdoors.

Vegans ought to target polar bears for their outreach programs.

The one tonne predators are thought to have forced hundreds of frightened walruses to jump off 125ft cliffs to their deaths before feasting on the carcasses.

The surviving walruses have cleared out to escape the threat. Now the village of Ryrkaypiy is under siege by the hungry man-eating beasts. One even tried to get into a house through the window.

If we start seeing stories about polar bears eating kids on their way to school, moonbats will be certain to proclaim that the bears were there first.

On a tip from Bodhisattva.

The bears are apparently occupying the same ecological niche as gators in Florida; keeping the small dog and toddler population down to an acceptable level.

So with the millions of guns in Russia not a single person in that village has one? I’ll bet even a good ol’ mosin would smack down a polar bear.

Bears are intelligent creatures, shouldn’t have to shoot too many of them before the others get the hint and move on. One of our favorite places to car camp has ranchers and there’s no pesky bears or any other pests. Bad mannered bears etc get shot and the others move to more liberal areas. Shoot, shovel, and shut up…

I saw somewhere the other day that the Russian government is a little hinky about people having rifles. Pistols and shotguns are kosher though. I suppose 12 ga. slugs would work on bears.

Bears, alligators, and rattlesnakes are protected; human babies are disposable.

  • Saxon Warrior

Same old liberal delusion. They’re wrong about everything but even when you present them with the facts, they still deny it.
I think that your average liberal vegan should endeavor to come face to face with one of these cuddly polar bears then he can really tell us all about these wonderful creatures when he’s had half his face bitten off!

1 oz of lead from a 12 ga works wonders on bears. If placed well that is…

As an annoyance. Talk to anyone in Grizzly or Polar Bear country; buckshot will only make them mad. Guys fishing in Alaska carry at least a .44 Magnum, but even that might not be enough: a guy I used to work for once killed a big Grizzly in Alaska that had several medium caliber bullets embedded in its skull.

    I was speaking about a slug…

  • Spiny Norman

A sabot slug might do the trick.

  • MAS

WAY better than any sidearm, especially If driven by a 3 or 3.5 inch magnum.

  • Ol’ Uncle Lar

Old joke about that. Guy going to work on the pipeline is issued a .44 magnum for bear protection, old guy tells him to file the front sight off.
New guy says, “Will that make aiming more instinctive?”
Old guy replies, “No, it’ll just hurt less when the bear shoves it up your ass.”

Walrus lives matter. BTW, did one of those polar bears have a pant suit on and offer to sell uranium rights?

  • 127guy

Al Bore needs to get up there and investigate personally. Maybe bring wide load Michael Moore for the larger bears.

I have this bad feeling it’s based on a true story.

They probably wish they had a gun. In the USSR private gun ownership was banned by the communists. Only police, military and licensed professional hunters are allowed to have guns.

Slugs are good & actually double ought buck shot is great as well & no it won’t only make them mad as noted above. At close range the buck shot leaves a 4 to 6 inch hole. My cabin, canoe, 12 gauge is loaded slug, slug, double ought, double ought, double ought.

Most folks with opinions about stuff like this haven’t spent much time shooting them. A 12ga loaded with 00 kicks like a mule (especially with magnum loads) and while it may not drop an 800 lb grizzly on the first shot it’s always going to work better than any handgun. Btw my tactical is loaded 00/slugs/00 etc when in potential big predator country, except with 3” mags. The 00 slows it down at least and the slugs finish the job.
